Multiling keyboard localized keyboard problem. - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Cuz there is no official support for it ill ask it here.
It works all fine exept that all words with letters like äõ etc rever to theyr "normal" versions. Eg ao. As soon as the word is finished. It has proper langpack enabled ad dictionary. It does however let me add those letters into the word later but its extremely time consuming.
Or alteratively i could do ith estonian keyboard for default android one .. but cm7 rom doesnt have one.

Special characters in stock ROM keyboard

Hi, so I took the plunge and ordered a unlocked Streak from UK today. And I was wondering if the stock keyboard has the special characters native to my language. It's not a big issue if it does not, but I am hoping they are there. I live in Norway and use " æ ø å " characters often. It's not a problem that the OS itself is in English, but I would love to have the possibility to write in my native language on it
Please give me a heads up if you know, and also a picture / description on how to find these characters if you can

I checked my streak, unfortunately there are no special characters that you needed.
However, surely you can download/search for an alternative keyboard which may contain the extra characters you need.
Ok, I was considering SlideIt anyway, since its the only keyboard with custom national skins, and I like the slide feature. To bad swype does not have Norwegian layout:-s

You can download language packs for SLIDEIT and they do do Norwegian and to be honest slideit is a lot better than swype
I use Scandinavian keyboard for writing Danish (supports danish, norweigian, swedish etc), requires additional dictionary in the case of danish but works really well.
layout is nice enough, has the special characters, and with the dictionary does predictive text and autocorrect etc
Cheers
ps no link due to post count, but search the market for 'scandinavian keyboard'

Excellent language support in Sense 2 roms with Gingerbread keyboard

Moderators are pleased to move this topic if I posted it to wrong forum, sorry.
I was shocked when tried white-energy's Feather Desire HD Build with the 100% translated Serbian language. Tried some more ( Bulgarian, German ) and found them perfect too. While waiting for white-energy to support ext4 data partition on SD card I decided to try andrewf403's AF403 DesireHD rom. I've installed Gingerbread keyboard ( search Marketplace for "Keyboard from Android 2.3" ) there and got the same results as with Feather Desire HD Build. Now, the catch is ( thanks to xMareXx ) not to manualy choose your language ( you'll lose your location in Clock widget and get some more force-close issues this way ) but go thru Setup process again setting your language there. The keyboard itself isn't required and you may continue using default HTC or any other keyboard. Serbian keyboard from Gingerbread is Cirilic only so I'm using HTC's wich have very well supported Serbian latin characters. I didn't try this in other roms, but I'm sure it will work on Desire Z based roms too. If somebody try on Desire or Evo rom, please tell me the result.
i am using projections desire based NAND ROM.
sorry, i can't give any feedback for multilingual improvements that result due to installing the gingerbread keyboard as you have suggested. this is mainly because i am not a multilingual user so i don't know what to look for, neither will i understand any language i switch to for testing
but i just wanted to say thanks for the information about an EASY way to install a keyboard! sometimes, i don't think about the simpler ways! the installation experience this time was magnitudes better and easier than the last time i changed a keyboard (added droid x keyboard to phiremod's skinny evo some months ago).

Samsung Keyboard Languages

hey , can anybody hook me up with samsung original keyboard russian language , or explain how to add it to my jvs ?
I'd love some scandinavian letters on my JVT too. The Samsung Keyboard is awesome compared to the others, so is there any way that could be possible?
Well, I would recommend you to use "search" button on XDA. All the times I'm really surprised that it si better to strat a new thread and wait for someone's effort... one, common question to op and @Lepaz: are you guys, cleaning your beds in the morning, or are you still waiting for mum?
Well... ok...
First, go to Market and look for the gingerbread keyboard, and when you will have it installed, you can download dictionaries to it.
Or, you can take it here... keyboard at least, for dictionaries - still go to market:
Click
ro better looking variant from here:
Click 2
language (layout) is changed by swiping the space button...

[Q] note 3 keyboard

Hi,
I've bought an ASUS Transkeyboard to use with my note 3 because it's much easyer to write texts than with touchscreen keyboard...
The problem is that now my transkeyboard won't give me all the right characters...
I'm from Portugal and I have the need to write those: â ã ê ô õ, and many others that need the use of ^ ~
All those exist on the keyboard I've bought, but they won't work... also the " are'n working
I've tryed this same keyboard with other phones and tablets that use android and all is working 100%.
On the definitions on the phone keyboard I can only choose samsung keyboard, and I bet that's the problem.
Is there any way I can add some stock keyboard to my phone so that I can choose it on the definitions?
My phone is stock, not rooted or anything else... is as came from the store.
Thanks to all

I haven't used the product yet. Is the hardware relying on the software keyboard for the characters used?

Hi,
The only thing I can control is either to connect the bluetooth or not... I don't have any other options that I can change.
This is the second keyboard I try with note 3 and they all do the same... today I've seen this same keyboard to work 100% on 2 different devices (one phone that the seller used and my ASUS TF300 tablet).
That sayed I believe the problem can only be with the software from samsung and with his keyboard.
Before I have this samsung I had an HTC ONEX where I could change between keyboards with different leyouts... maybe the problem here is this...
Don't know if I've answered the question.
Ohh... one more thing... the keyboard on my phone is set to Portuguese language.
I've also tryed to use on definitions other languages and I see that some charaters change from place, but what I need don't work... So I guess the problem is with portuguese language keyboard made from samsung... the solution should be install a new keyboard.
I could only think of a trial run with a diff keyboard like swiftkey. If it's dependent on the Samsung keyboard app then try changing it. Then manipulate Swiftkey settings.

Just take a look at this: ã â ê """" ô õ
All was writen with my asus keyboard using External Keyboard Helper
After install many keyboards and Apps this was the only one that worked.
Too bad this is not free app and I'm using the DEMO app that from times to times add the word "DEMO" to the text... not about the cost, but I can't pay it because I don't have any credit card associated to google account.
Anyway... I'll try to solve it.
Thank you!
Any idea how to remap the CTRL key on External Keyboard Helper?
Almost all is working fine, but I can't use the shortcuts as ctrl key won't work.... If I use any other country without remaping than this key works...
