You think manufactures would still be fighting a couple months before launch?
This phone has probably been out in google development for the past 6 months.
That being said the specs have probably constantly been improving

Note:*In May, purported leaked photos suggested that HTC was making the third Nexus smartphone.
I hope it is Samsung but until its out????

Don't see how HTC, LG, etc can compete against Samsung hardware wise.
Hmm.. i like.. now waiting what would be the final spec of Prime. Firmware wise, I'm not too concern as it's google phone. But more concern on it's hardware. Will it trash S2 or upcoming ip5 based on hardware?

I think hardware wise,it will not be very different from SGSII.But we may see a better display
I think samsung has edge over htc and LG in terms of hardware manufacturing and also samsung has great and efficient distribution and retail chain that can deliver phone even in remotest area of earth

An alaskan cell phone company GCI is getting it first:
http://phandroid.com/2011/09/09/sam...00/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Sorry, Sprint, but you were a bit too slow. Alaska’s regional GCI has beaten the nationwide carrier to market as the first U.S. carrier to offer a subsidized Samsung Galaxy S II. Those citizens residing in the colder of the two non-contiguous United States have the pleasure of heading out and picking up what looks to be an unadulterated version of the Galaxy S II for a mere $99.99 on contract. The GSII operates on GCI’s “4G” HSPA+ network and features a dual-core CPU, Super AMOLED Plus display, and more. We suppose with an asterisk Sprint can still be the first carrier to release the Galaxy S II in the continental US, right?

Actually, sprint could still say something like "the first major us carrier to bring the gs2"..."major" is the keyword there and effectively turns the entire statement into an opinion

did that alaskan company just import some international models? they look like the international version on the website...
Well, the other countries may have gotten it first but, in my opinion, a bigger battery and bigger screen will be worth the wait

Yessssssss! Ive been thinking about switching my Epic for the Epic touch. I just don't like that Samsung never keeps up with the updates, we as developers have to find and make custom roms for it and used "leaky" versions. How ahrd is it to release0 the newest android on the epic?!

This is good news for us. The update is only for the International model of the Galaxy S2. With an official ICS release on hardware identical to ours, the talented devs over here will have something stable to work with. Check out phandroid for more info.

You do know that the details are also on Samsung's website as well right?
THought we get a ics update a month later? The china leak is fine until samsung release the notes ics. Hopefully a better leak will get released.
Wasnt the leaks for sgs2 used to patch up cm9 alpha build for note? I wouldnt expect stable until the notes version is released.
Until I've seen at least one more N7000 leak I doubt we're less than a month away from getting the ICS update.
I would expect to see at least 2-3 leaks for the Intl version before the real thing is released...
Here is the link to Samsungs anouncement for the SII

Lol, I agree with the uncertainty it sucks big time. But, but wtf all of the Android phone company's does the same thing. The big mystery about Android is just that we never know what to expect, we might even get an alien biological phone from Google here next

Worder why you guys talking about Galaxy SII in this forum, this is Note forum
because if GS2 gets ics, note will be next one.

You will find that Samsung have since released a statement saying march 10th is not actually confirmed so this post is now nonsense unfortunately. no date has yet been set for the release.
As someone has already mentioned I see! Didn't notice that before posting.
I'm on XDA a lot and I've considered getting the paid version of XDA for my phone. Whats the difference between the two? Is it worth buying? I see reviews that go both ways.
Get it. It gives u more options. I have no problem with the paid version.

Yes. Donate to xda. Also, I musta thanked 25 people today lol. I thought it was limited, but maybe not. Oh yeah, premium has the thank feature and the multi quote feature (not sure if free has that). Still, BUY IT, it's good for us/xda. You know xda buys devs phones? You think they print the money themselves?

I've always had lots of issues with the xda app, so I went straight to the source and bought the tapatalk app. Its a much better experience.

I'm pretty sure the free version can do both of those. The free version has bothersome ads, but I'd say most people are using AdFree so they don't have to deal with them anyways.
A poll carried out by PhoneArena, heading "Did you like it" had 8000 responses , give an insight as to the general feeling towards the Galxay S5

That poll result is extremely expected since I've only seen such hype preceding a phone when Apple was about to release the original Iphone. Apple was in a much better position though as nothing comparable existed at that time ....
Lets just say everyone was wayyyyyy too optimistic about the current speed of progress
Ppl were too gullable regarding the pre release leaks.. If there had been no leaks, I'm sure more ppl would've been satisfied and at worst indifferent towards the new s5

Were discussing the results of a poll in which the majority didn't like it, as far as I can see it was roughly 80/20 split, in the UK this would constitute a majority.

And I said that you can't base anything on these polls. You got those who genuinely don't like the S5, you have fanboys (HTC, Sony), you have trolls ect... If you wanna base anything on something concrete wait till you see how many units the device sell. These polls are meaningless.
