well you tell steve jobs that, he wanted to destory android after it stole multi touch,pinch to zoom and now the new shape, rectangle with curved edges, this makes me glad I don't have an iphone, don't know how customers can support apple and its anti competitive behaviour

Apple are charging an extra 100 bucks to have a stupid mainstream Apple on the back of the device. Why would i by an iPhone 4 when i could spend my money and buy an Android device with a quadcore and still have Money left to go out and get pi ssed for the month.
Android all the way. And every iPhone user just has it because of the supposed status of the device. Well I say screw that ill keep my android devices any day of the week over a stupid iPhone that only has 12 months of support

When people ask what phone do you have what do you say :)

Since nexus S is not a very known phone I am still always asked by people what phone is this, I actually like this thing.
Anyways it's kinda interesting to answer that. I used to say it's a google nexus S, then I used to say that it's a samsung google nexus S and now I simply say samsung nexus S. People are like oh it's a galaxy? I am like well you can say that.
Samsung is the cool **** these days.

I just say Nexus S. I never say the phone's brand name, just the model number. It's a habit.

People still ask me what kind of phone I have. I simply tell them its the Google Nexus S and its one of android's flagship devices. Then I proceed to explain to them what that means lol

Friend: What's your phone?
Me: Oh it's a nexus!
Friend: Ah...a Samsung?
Me: Well, yeah...but it's a pure Google/Android device...
Friend: So....it's a galaxy?
Me: Oh no! It's pure Google. Samsung modifies their version of Android.
Friend: Oh OK....(changes topic at this point since he actually has no idea what the hell I'm blabbering about and/or he uses an iPhone anyway).

People who care know that Nexus is Google's branding, people who don't won't care if it's a Samsung or a Google or anything. I usually say I have a Nexus S (adding Sprint if they asked) if they then give me a blank stare I say "Samsung and Google partnered to make a pure Android phone."

This is pretty much on par with almost every phone conversation I've ever had. Now these are mostly avoided by coworkers and family because they don't want to hear me blabber on about "pure Google" and ROMs.

I've given up saying Nexus pretty much, at least with the people I go to school with. I tell them it's an Android, and if they want to know more then I tell them it's a Nexus S.

The thing is - at no point in the ad does it mention Apple, or iPhones or anything.
We all know who they're talking about because the stereotype... isn't really a stereotype.
So, the question is - unless you're proud about sitting in line for days, waiting for features the rest of us already have, having to deal with new connectors and so on... why complain?

Yes preordered how many will get there phones how many will have problems with there phones if im not mistaken haven't all Iphones have antenna issues

Yeah, the big scandal. The iphone 4 antenna problems were solved in the 4S. I would generally be in the list of new icrap releases, but seriously I got tired of waiting on Apple to come up with something innovative. The only reason I continued using an iphone is because I spent hard earned money on many many apps and there is data I had concerns that would not be transferable: contacts, password list, repairs history on my motorcycle and vehicle, etc. But enough is enough, I'll be trying to get an Samsung Note 2 next month, and there will lots of manual input.
Maybe thats one of the reasons so many people keep buying iStuff. That doesn't justify people camping out outside a store tho....

It's hard to innovate when all you do is buy and patent other people's inventions. It's gotten to the point of ridiculousness now.

I love this video, I used to work at AT&T and would get calls all the time about when the iPhone was going to get MMS. The first time i got that call i went through troubleshooting because I refused to believe a phone that expensive didn't have MMS.
All of the sudden i felt a lot better about my Candy Bar symbian phone.

If the headphone really is at the bottom they may have violated some of Samsung's patents. The galaxy nexus has the headphone jack at the bottom.

I know the Windows phones are the big question in a lot of Android users eyes these days but I have to admit the Note 2 is a demon and though it will be like holding a salami sandwich to the side of my head I can't ignore the specs which is why I got the GS3 in the first place. I will be watching but I think it's still too early to tell if I'll be racing to the store since the last purchase nearly made my car the bedroom.
I am going for the Smart TV next though (Samsung rocks).

Just ignore people like that man they have nothing better to do than cry about it not being in the Q&A and really if that is their biggest thing to worry about it should make you feel better for having real issues not trolling forums whining.
back on topic, i am debating getting that or the one x+ if it comes out around the same line cant decide yet note 2 has a good lead though huge screen is right up my ally but pockets are getting too full to fast

I'd love it but I couldn't bring myself to rock it as a phone. Just too big.

The note 2 is a downgrade from the gs3 in terms of hardware. No way I'd downgrade. I had an international note and it wasn't in my top 5 best phones. I've had every high end phone too. I won't be getting rid of my s3 for one unless it has a huge dev community which I don't foresee.

That's interesting. It's about time the exynos supported lte and hspa+ 42. I bet that thing is gonna be a battery hog even with that huge battery. I'll be interested to see how this phone lands. If it's like the s3 and all the versions are similar then dev should be great. We will see.

I feel sorry for abandoned pets. iSheeps? No sir, they got what they wanted.

Surely you'd buy a new phone for an upgraded device....the 5 is no different from the 4s, the screen is .2 of an inch bigger, still not hd, the dual core processor sucks. if people wanna waste money that's their business....my galaxy s3 specs speak for themselves!
