hi to everybody,i have dell streak 5 with totally no power, not charging, not connect to pc,i try to reball power ic also but no response,if anybody have more hardware solution plz plz plz share here or in any forum thread.
What were you doing with the Streak when this happened?
Have you checked the battery for power?
Mine is like this too . Bringing it to a repair shop when i'm free .
Since I never got an answer to my question to the OP, I have to guess it was flashing related. Regardless, the Streak will have to be JTAGged to resurrect it.

I've brought it to a handphone repair shop and after changing the charging port, it still won't charge.
The technician asked me to leave the phone there for a night to let him do his tests. He mentioned that it was MOBO related. I didn't do anything before this happened as it just stopped charging suddenly.
Are you the OP?
I answered you in the other thread you posted in, and your reply here confirms what I said there. However, your problem is completely different from the OP's issue. Yours is a hardware related problem while his is likely a result of not reading the stickies on the forum. Or, put another way, user error.

Hi all. I remember some details on here about how to repair the stylus issue by taking the handsset apart. Can anyone find the thread? I'm hopeless at searching the forum.
I need to fix the stylus and also the headphone socket, so some guidance would be great.
-Mike
I don't know if this will help but this thread speaks on taking it apart...

He's right, I remember seeing a really good post with pics showing exactly how to fix it. Was a couple of months back that I saw it, and it may have been a link to another site, I cannot remember, but I am buggered if I can find it now!!!
Oh dear. This is not how I pictured the component to look at all.
At least I saw it in the manual before taking it apart myself and voiding warranty. Thanks guys.
I'd better try and get it done under warranty but its doubtful

i agree that doesn't give us much to work with
Not sure why it's in the development forum either.
Has the OP tried booting into either recovery or download mode with the device plugged into a charger?
More info required.
What I like most about this post is the help me asap bit...
Also one would think people would avoid flashing if they had limited knowledge of the troubleshooting process. I have flashed without problems of any kind both using kies and odin, I assume because I read the forum carefully and waited to see what other people were experiencing.
In fact in the 5 years I've been flashing my devices I've yet to brick anything - though like others I've had a few close calls
Hey all, i don't know why but recently my phone has been very very very sensitive to any like flicks or small drops to the table or even when i'm walking. Any of those will lead to reboots, i thought it was the rom I was running and it wasn't! i even reverted back to stock and i still had the problem.. I switched batteries with my friend and it's still there...
Has anyone else ever had the problem? or just time to move on..
I seem to be (intermittently) getting this problem too.....
And there is another thread where someone else is reporting a similar issue......
3 phones.......similar problems.....
Who knows.....more than likely hardware.....
Here's the other thread......

That being the case, why didn't you accept the answer you got on your other thread?.........

Service center guys want to sell something for money. Xda gives you help for nothing.
Service center = Money = fast
XDA = sometimes slow = free
YOU DECIDE, but follow rules

All of my sensors stopped working. Fingerprint, gyro, proximity, all of them give no reading in any kind of app that reports their data. The only thing I haven't tried is factory reset. If anyone knows if that will do anything or anything else I can try, it will be appreciated.
Bootloader unlocked and rooted if it means anything. Not on developer status but far from a rookie when it comes to Android's so I'll be able to understand any suggestions as well.
Thank you

That is a persist.img issue from what I seen around telegram. If u haven't got persist.img backed up and a reset doesn't fix it u gotta send the phone back to one plus for mother board replacement.

That's too bad. Even if it's T-Mobile I need to send it to OnePlus? Or if someone else has a back up is it possible to use theirs? I'll check out telegram to see if I can find out but I appreciate the response and it's a relief to know I'm not the only one.

Hopefully some 1 more knowledgeable will confirm because I'm a noobie who reads alot. You can't use some 1 else's persist backup I also read. It stores private phone info on there so not sure if it just won't work or will expose some 1 else when u have there backup.
Try asking here https://t.me/Club_oneplus
You can find a persist image in these forums on xda that will fix you up, except for the fingerprint scanner. If you don't have a backup of the persist img from your own phone, it needs to be RMA'd to 1+ to fix fingerprint. It doesn't need a motherboard replacement, simply a fingerprint calibration, but I guess that depends on the knowledge of the tech doing the work...
Edit: And don't tell misfacts like you couldn't find anything online. Just googling it would have found you the thread on xda and the persist.img

Haha many years I've been on xda and I'm one of the quiet ones that hardly post requests for info cause I dig and dig until I find my answers (my 70 total posts in 6 years don't tell misfacts). I couldn't come up with anything that fell in line with failure of all the sensors. Only seen things for failure of fingerprint. Otherwise this post wouldn't exist.
Thanks for the info though. :good:

Sorry about that. Didn't mean it personally. I think we are all kinda short tempered nowadays. I guess since the fingerprint issue was the only one I was experiencing, I searched for that and found it right away
Anyway, glad I could help some :highfive:
