Try to use Airdroid...it's AWESOME!
You can fully control your tab & transfer, add, and delete any file to any folder in it.
It allows you to browse all your files like normal windows explorer (or Mac finder) and you can copy all your messages and data.

[Q] Problem Copying Large Files

My Xoom is stock, and I keep trying to copy a 6GB file to it and every time I do windows explorer crashes and has to restart, am I missing something here?
I don't often use Windows, but I think I can offer a work around. If Windows doesn't want to copy the file to your device in one chunk, you might try splitting it into several smaller files. I searched Google for "freeware file splitter" and found several options. You could also create a multi-part archive, such as a rar or zip file. After copying the pieces to your Xoom, rejoin/decompress them in place. Not an ideal solution, but if your file ends up where you want it, you've won. Hope this works.

The fact that Explorer is crashing sounds more like a Windows issue then an issue with the Xoom. What version of Windows are you using (XP, Vista, Win 7)? If you use Wifi, you can try to use a file explorer on the Xoom that supports network access to a share on your PC like AndroXplorer to transfer that way.

I am using windows 7, I am downloading AndroExplorer as we speak and will try it, thanks!
If explorer crashes, it's definitely a Windows issue. Almost makes me wonder if you have enough available memory to complete the job.
IIRC the Xoom's file system has a maximum 4gb size. I know my droid2 does on the /sdcard.

All other android devices use fat32 for windows mass storage support, but I don't think the xoom needs to. Has someone with root looked at the filesystem?

[Q] How can I connect Iconia with Galaxy SII?

Hi to all.
How can I connect my Iconia with my Galaxy SII?I wan't to transfer files from the one to the other.I have tried with Astro network and with Websharing but didn't work...
You could always sign up for a dropbox account.
I use the free version and swap files easily between an iconia, 2 smartphones (htc desire and galaxy s2) and a desk top pc.
Use "software data cable" to set up a FTP server and "file expert" to access it. BTW with software data cable you can access the external sd card on the iconia

i bet there are a lot of apps for file sharing.. for me, this is the best. Try this..
Bluetooth file transfer
https://market.android.com/details?id=it.medieval.blueftp&feature=search_result
Thanks....Works great....
Just bind them via Bluetooth and you can send the files back and forth, one at a time. OR download Wifi File Explorer from Dooblu, I have it on my phone and tablet, it hosts a mini webserver when you run it and you can browse to it from any webbrowser and download files from it. also you can upload files to it. Worth the cost of the Pro version, but I snagged it free from Amazon's AotD.

Can't transfer files onto nexus 7 tablet from win 7 PC

I am having some major problems putting a file on my brothers Nexus 7 tablet from a windows 7 PC.
The files is a .json it is a safe file from a game that needs to go to the folder for that game so it can be used.
Whenever i try to drag and drop into the required folder it just hangs with the progress bar at 100% but the file does not copy.
It comes up with the error the device has stioped responding if i leave it long enough
Turns out that it is the location i can't save files to. Does anybody know how i can save a file in the Android folder. All it is is a save file from a game
Please help

Hi,
I would recommend you to use AirDroid for wireless file transfer. The best app out there at the moment.
You can find it on Google play store for free.

Transfer files to nexus4 on MAC

I have a MAC and to transfer files to the nexus 4 its a nightmare with the AFT(Android File Transfer) every time it crash or doesnt transfer so im looking for a different way to transfer, another program or without a program, someone here now an alternative?
*sorry for the english mistakes
Thank You!
No one??
Im looking for a method to use on my mac just like i used to use with my galaxy s like a removable disk.
Not a s fast, but you can use FTP with a program like ES File Explorer and copy over your wireless LAN.
AirDroid has been pretty effective for me. There are a couple other ones in the store as well, but I don't remember them off the top of my head. Sadly, there doesn't appear to be a way to just mount it as a disk like older phones
im using airdroid but to heavy files its bad....
i wonder what changes that now need this F***** program!?
