Rooted Wiki getting spammed, new URL for Fascinate - Fascinate General

The Rooted Wiki page for the Fascinate
://wiki.rootedwiki.com/index.php?title=Samsung_Fascinate&redirect=no
has been getting trashed by a spambot for almost a week now.
To salvage the good information, I restored an old version and moved the page to a new URL. You can find all the content under the address below. (you'll have to add the http to the links)
://wiki.rootedwiki.com/wiki/SCH-i500_Fascinate
This link is also under the Discussion tab for the original Fascinate wiki page. So far the spambot hasn't touched that part.
I'm not a moderator for Rooted Wiki, just an interested user, so I don't know how to or who to contact to lock down that page or the 2 IP addresses that the spambots are using to edit the original page. Someone really needs to do that though.
Also, I've only been a lurker around here for the most part (but a very satisfied customer). So I don't have the required 10 posts to post a new thread in the developer forums or reply on the pinned thread that lists the original link for the Fascinate Rooted Wiki page. (or make the above links live)
If someone more senior could pass along the info to the Developer forums, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks guys,
FasterN8

Internet Sharing on G1

On my older WING (which may soon become my phone again!) I could easaily share internet with my laptop, Does anyone know of an option with the G1 to do that?
Not to be rude but do a little searching in the Dream forums. On the first page of threads in this forum we find 2 threads already started. And on the first page in the development forum we have another 2 threads. It is pointless to have 4 threads (now 5) but everyone keeps opening new ones.
I urge everyone to not post in this thread so we can keep order in the section.
I apologize, MODs please delete!
here is one solution:

[REF] New Android D&H Sticky Roll up thread | [Leave Suggestions Here]

***In an attempt to clean up the Development & Hacking Forum we have started a D&H Wiki page.***
On this page you will find all links to the current stickies in this forum (which will be "unstickied")
There will be no stickies in D&H, so please don't ask. Go to the Wiki and put your sticky there.
As is the nature of the Wiki please feel free to edit and place a link with a short description of your post. You can also edit the appearance of the page and how it is layed out.
Hopefully you will all add your relevant links to the Wiki and update them as required.
This will, in theory, provide a one stop Index page which should, if this works, be a useful resource to all.
This will of course only work if YOU, the users, keep it up to date and clean.
Greetz and thank you for your help in getting the D&H back in to shape (it has become a little flabby yes?)
Sugestions and feedback are always welcome. This thread will be regularly cleaned, so dont be offended if your post disappears from here.

Even universal tutorials become outdated as we move on to new tools and new Operating Systems.
Besides you should check out the Sticky wiki some of the users have picked up on it and added some stuff that is not as new as most of the stickies are but may be use as much. It's working out great,

Click to collapse
Quite right, some people have taken it on board and have edited and added content, which is great! Lets hope it continues.
This is a great idea so much easier and the forum is less cluttered with stickies now
Good job, it was difficult to find Android related content mixed in amongst everything else. Thank you

On behalf of this forum

I went ahead PMed a mod so we could clean this place up. By now, you've probably noticed all the old stickies are gone. We now have Sticky Wikis -- yay. I already added all the original stickies into the the new sticky wikis.
Great job, I had also posted an open message in the General section ( a thread to ask open questions directly at mods). I added the section for kitchens, because although there's only one item, it is a very usefull one and kitchens will get busy as soon as we have the kernel. Great job community as I know lots of other people put in their request and contributed to the creation of this wiki
Only happy to help guys, its what this community is all about right?
As i said, any suggestions for future wiki pages, post in those two threads, im subscribed so i'll check in now and again.
See ya around
Massive props!

Firmware Version details are in the Wiki!

I've updated the XDA I9000 wiki page with a table listing the details within a couple of firmware versions I have.
It would be awesome if anyone running other versions could add the extra details.
Also feel free to add any other details/columns you think are relevant.
The page is here -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Samsung_Galaxy_S/GT-I9000
I'd love it if an admin could sticky this so that the Wiki page gets more traffic and therin updates.
Cheers,
Luke

Please make a Support subforum

I very much enjoy the XDA forums. I also frequent the Modaco blade forum.
My biggest annoyance is that Modaco Blade forum has become overrun with repetitive posts from newcomers.
If you scan the first page there are so many "How do I..." or "Help!..." posts and if you go to the second page you'll usually see the same question with an answer. This does not make me want to frequent the forum which is a shame because I am passionate about android and this phone.
I very much support newcomers but believe there should be structure to the support given.
I created a video guide and it just got lost in the depths of Modaco, then about a week later there were a few posts such as "How do I put video on my blade?" etc.
PLEASE create a forum just for support questions like "How do I change the brightness?!" This will make me stay at XDA Blade.
Thanks,
Andy
That's what general if for post tips and guides when enough ill compile a sticky same as other sub forums 'in the meantime will stick anything important'

Got it. Good to know there's active structure.
