Its shows all android device, its it good for tab? Anyone?
Sent from my GT-P6800 using xda premium
Have not tried it, seems like it might work but I guess the device needs to be rooted.
I'm personally waiting for ICS from samsung to see if that makes much of a difference.
Yes you need to be rooted, and yes I use it on my Gtab 7.7.
Alrite! Doing it now then

is it worth doing on the 7.7? do you notice a difference? Hve you noticed any problems? Battery drainage?

Battery drainage - No.
Notice a difference - hard to say on its own because I use it with other mods. I rooted and flashed clockwork recovery, changed launchers (to LauncherPro) and abandoned Touchwiz though am still on the stock rom; added SD card cache boost; used the V6 supercharger, modded my build.prop, and the end result is my Gtab is super smooth in daily use with essentially no issues.

Thanks LBN1! I am also on rooted stock ROM, CW Recovery, and exdwlauncher pro + SD card cache + build.prop mod
Seems fast enough for me but if it can go faster that's even better! Which option did you choose in supercharger? Or did you use custom settings?

Maybe try re running the original script making sure su is toggled.
Btw I used calculator recommendation settings and it actually made my tab sluggish even though the numbers were higher. So I used the 768 HP settings and it returned back to fast speed. I have yet to experience a noticeable difference but I also haven't played around with it that much since

I have tried most of the aggressive and balanced settings. Not too sure if any one of them is better than the other...
I have noticed a slightly faster decline in battery discharge, but i've installed another app or two at the same time as testing out the v6. Does anyone notice this? I'm debating un-supercharging

Does anyone elses galaxy s need rebooting about once a day because after a while launchers reboot when you go to your homescreen and apps always act, like they've been force closed when you go back on then after exiting using the home button?
Also, when I'm using my phone and I get a call it hangs for about 5 seconds before my ringtone comes on. is this normal?

Download and install an apps from market . . Free . . Called 'Fast Reboot' . . It don't actually reboot but close the unnecessary programs within seconds and make the phone much faster . . It works for me. . .
It might be your rom.. What rom are you using? New ones (even stock) somehow feel better than the old ones
I'm on darky's 10.1 and I already have fast reboot but it doesn't help.

install a cache cleaner - runs daily
Mine is on stock JPJV6 and i don't reboot it neither it does itself no matter how many days it's running. I think last time i restarted it after 9 days to clear the battery stats after full charge.
Try a different kernel. Dark core just didn't play nice for me. Also try one of the ram hacks out there (juwes for example) as I found it made things better regarding the home screen.

I've never had these problems on my phone, and from the replies it seems that very few other people have, so it might be caused by your combination of non-
standard software.
Just as a test, try loading GB 2.3.3. on your phone, in it's standard form, and see if you get the same problems, if you do it's a hardware problem, if you don't it's a problem with your choice of Roms.
Best of luck.

I was wondering if anyone here was using the v6 supercharger I found on the evo section on the shift?
Sent from my speedy miui with 1.9 of overclocked goodness..
Yes i have used v6 supercharger script and it works very well. Just make sure the rom you are running doesnt already have ram script built in. I cant remember what settings i used, i know i used 12 (bulletproof launcher) and i think it was 3, or 8 but im not sure. I run mikshiftedG and the latest update has juwe11's ramscript built in so not really a need for v6 anymore...

Have used V6 SuperCharger. Don't need it now, but it does work very well . You just have to experiment to find the right settings for your use.
thanks for the input.. im currently using miui 1.8.26 and mainly wanted to test out the turbo 3g
Where do we find this script?

The Script is on the thread for V6 SuperCharger . The installation thread is HERE.
What setting have you guys seen the best results with?

It's been a while, but if I remember right I was running setting #8 . Also, ran #6 for a bit. Liked #8 better, but as I said it's been a while. You should experiment and see what works best for your particular setup.

Nope... The script manager app needs root to run. Meaning every reboot you would have to re-temp root your device start script manager and choose your options.

OK guys after spending two days with the new Samsung official software I was wondering if anyone else thinks that its a RAM hog. I have to keep killing the apps in the task manager otherwise I see lag while opening apps and things. Anyone else think this? Or could this possibly be because I quickly loaded about 40 apps onto the device? Any thoughts? Personally I hope Samsung will just improve and mature the software and it will get smoother. If not I might grab one of those deodexed ROMs.

I heard that Android loads apps in RAM for faster use unlike Windows. So if you close them, it loads them again, and that causes more bettery use. So why don't you try the phone without closing apps and compare which works better. Some poorly written apps cause lag and consume alot of system resourses. They should be closed and better be uninstalled.

Get OMEGA 27. It is very snappy. Make sure you do a complete wipe meaning formatting system and reinstalling all your apps.
It is very snappy. Do a custom install and choose to install or not install V6 SUper Charger which always leaves 200 mb of free ram. Your phone won't multitask as well but it will keep everything fluid.
Although I optioned not to install V6, and everything has been perfectly fine.
YOu can always install or uninstall mods thanks to OMEGA FILES that comes with the phone. Highly recommended.

Why are you worried? I stuck with Omega 13 for months. You should only force an update if you were:
1. Trying a test rom and then official came out.
2. Or if it has problems and a X.1 version came out.
Omega only updates every time a leak rom appears but that doesn't mean you have to update.

I haven't checked quadrant but the point of Jelly Bean is that it implements a better use of a GUI than ICS. So quadrant isn't going to take those kind of things into account.
Omega 27 is working better than Indies last ICS for me which was 13.1

quadrant doesn't mean a thing about how snappy the rom is.
Uninstall quadrant as it serves no REAL purpose.
stock odexed here, just cleaned up 300mb of bloatware. RAM at the end of 2 days is 600MB used, didn't cleaned up RAM. You better don't cleanup, it will just piss off the apps and will consume more juice.
Is it because of the JB update my S3 stutters just by pressing settings or just by pressing settingsmenu button. Everything just stutters a little bit. Opening the appdrawer, the phone stutters or is to slow for the animation.
I tried 0,5x animation, didnt get better.
What should i do?

Just remember to full wipe before and after flashing any roms. (Just a safety procedure.)

I had some of those problems - some menus not as fast or smooth as the s3 mini in a store, the application manager crashing and stuff
- jb 4.1.1 stock unrooted - factory wipe after update from ics
So I went through and deleted all apps that I don't use, particularly apps with back ground processes like widgets (animated weather widget apps for example) and then after clearing ram as well, the application manager would work, so I went through and disabled Samsung stuff that looks unimportant
Now it all just blazes, so fast.

My suggestion is to upgrade to MDL (if you haven't already) and flash a custom TW kernel. This makes a world of difference over stock for smoothness and battery life is still great (depending on the kernel settings used). Other thing you can try is lowering the animation scale in developer options.

It personally sickens me that we have to do anything to this phone to get it to work well for us. Samsung needs to fix these issues and make this phone fly like it should with the hardware in it. No changing developer options or using a custom kernel or tweaking.

Very much agreed. i personally have minimal lag....there obviously should be none. Hopefully when the next update finally drops the lag will be taken care of.
I had the same issue but once I rooted, removed bloat, disabled some apps and installed a custom kernel all the lag is gone. I'm running No Frills CPU to control the CPU and I have it set at Max 1998GHz, Min 378MHz, Governor= Performance, I/O scheduler= deadline. Not having any issues with battery either. Works Great!
Also I noticed that S Voice was never mentioned. You have to uninstall it or make it so the home button doesn't activate it.
I'm running ktoonz 7/2 kernel with all his settings. Wow it gets rid of all the lag. Plus the phone don't run so hot like it does stock. Nice and cool and fast. I get 24-30+ hours before battery swap. I was also very pissed that out of the box this phone is kind of ****ty. Thanks to our great devs its fixed
