I'm wondering about the $69 Update...

I have 3 systems ( 2 64 bit, 1 32bit ), to move up from Windows 7.
I will guess to stay legal and legit I will have to buy 3 copies of the upgrade??
Will there be a multi Licence option?
Also for home networking 1 version must be Pro?????
Asus i5 Main PC
Acer Revo my second
Samsung N150 Netbook
How would you handle such a home set up?
The upgrade is $40 if you have XP/Vista/7, and $15 if you've bought your PC in the last few months. I'm not so sure where you got $69 fee from.
I'm not sure how multiple licenses are handled.
There are two versions of Windows 8 you are concerned with: Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro.
Windows 8 is like Windows 7 Home Premium, except with a few extra features from Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate. There's also all the new Windows 8 stuff of course
Windows 8 Pro has everything Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate, as well as a bunch of new stuff.
You can home network with any version of Windows 8. You do not need Pro.
This doesn't matter, though, because no matter what previous version of Windows you have, the $40 upgrade will get you Windows 8 Pro.

I think the $69 upgrade is after the promotional period (January). That is what Newegg will reportedly sell the upgrade disks for.
69$ is the actual price for Windows 8 Pro (like on amazon.com) and the 40$ upgrade is the special offer from Microsoft through their Windows 8 Upgrade Assistent (only until 01/2013).
So far, all the methods to purchase Windows 8 at launch are for single-PC licenses only. If you are upgrading from Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, you can upgrade to Windows 8 for $39.99 (downloadable upgrade), or get a packaged disc/product for $69.99 at retail locations.
This is all promotional pricing that lasts until January 31st mind you, so buy quickly.
Microsoft is making a System Builder license available to those who are not upgrading from a previous version of Windows, which means you can probably get multiple copies for cheap. I am not 100% on the details since I don't have to pay for my copies of Windows, but you may want to look into System Builder licenses.
Great news! According to this official blog, the $40 upgrade will get you 5 licenses! Excellent!

I have read through this blog and I do not see where it says that the $40 is for 5 licenses. You are limited to buying 5 at the sale price per customer but you still have to buy a license per machine.

20% off at Office Max

Found a link to a 20% off coupon for Office Max. I used one a few weeks ago exactly like this to get a price match at Office Depot, since it's closer to me. That how I got my 32GB Nexus 7 2013 for just over $200. Tablets and ereaders are specifically included on this coupon, so go nuts. Office Depot and Best Buy both have specific inclusions for Office Max price matches.
