Is Sprint taking orders over tele-sales for presale or on June 4?
No.
When I called today to find out what % discount my job offers, they said I could pre qualify the account and get it ready but not order the phone. But now that I know it is $10.00 extra per phone, not plan ( I thought 129.99 + 10.00 4g tax) I'm not sure I want to pay 150.00 for 2 phones. Especially since we don't have 4g where I live.
I was slammed into a contract renewal 7 years ago with sprint. Class action lawsuit did reimburse me though. But I have a hard time switching back to them from AT&T, so this new 20.00 extra for 4g (2 phones) makes the decision even harder.
evo is on sale now at the sprint site if you dont mind waiting till probably Monday for your device. i just got 3 of them on eprp plan!
I noticed late last night, and still this morning, the Evo4G is now $29.95 on the Radio Shack website for either new Sprint 2-year contracts, or for eligible 2-year renewals.
The only difference is new customers get free shipping, while renewals pay $10.00 for standard FedEx.
Based on what I've seen in the past, it'll probably go back up after the holiday. It dropped to $99.00 at Christmas, and never got down to that again until the 3vo came out.

The ridiculous part is the Evo Shift is still $99.00.

Thanks for the heads up man. Just got my aunt an EVO for $40.
I just ordered one for my wife. Best deal I could find on the net for a renewal.
Just found that, here in Denver anyway, the price is also good in Radio Shack stores, through July 9 (with a "while supplies last" caveat). If it's true where you are, you can save the shipping fee, and since it's in the print ad, other retailers may match it.

are there any special for non renewal prices? would like to upgrade my wife to an evo but 2 year isn't up yet
Got mine from Best Buy for free also last week.
Did they do away with their rebate program still? I remember around the holidays, folks were price matching radio shack's $99, then doing the $100 rebate too.

If she's over 1 year, but not to the two year yet, call Sprint on this number:
(877)775-4886
Ask for a manual override of her upgrade date. You may need to explain that she was affected by the change in the Sprint Premier plan, but generally this staff has proven quite willing to push forward upgrades for people with over 12 months, and less than 22.
Once they put the new renewal date int he system, you can do your upgrade at Radio Shack, or wherever you like.

I am 6 months away from an upgrade on a 2 line family plan. I have an EVO wimax and really want the EVO LTE or the HTC ONE X on AT&T. I am very disappointed in Sprint for charging me $10 a month for 4G (premium data charge if you want to call it that) and never building out wimax in my area. I live outside of Charlotte, NC. I feel like I got burned with 4G once already and don't want to get burned again.
I have read about the "buy up" program on here. Does anyone know the details? Being 6 months away how much should it be for me? Also, are they really on giving $50 trade ins for our old EVOs or this that in addition to? The cheapest they are on EBAY is $150 used.
Does anyone think that Sprint would waive the "buy up" and the 6 months because of them never building out wimax in my area? If I have to wait 6 months I'll probably just switch to AT&T because their service is better in the Charlotte area. Ive had Sprint/Nextel for almost 9 years.
Thanks
Well, for over a year now Sprint has been adding the $10 to every single smart phone. So it's not a 4G thing anymore like it was 2 years ago.
It's up to you what you to do in regard to AT&T. I think Sprint has better pricing.
I agree on the Buyout program. $50 does seem very low compared to what they sell for on Ebay still.
I personally never plan to get rid of my EVO 4G. It's a great back up phone to whatever I eventually upgrade to.

I stay in the Shelby nc area and hate that I pay that ten dollars for wimax that ill never see, this is the exact reason it is now called the smartphone fee.
In February I did the buy up program for one line on my family plan for my wife. Our upgrade isnt up until this November. I payed 90 to buy the upgrade and 99 for her to get a crapple. From what I understand the least you can pay for the buy up is 50 or 55 I think.
I wouldn't trade-in my evo for 50
They go for 100 on craigslist and eBay all day long.

This sort of highlights the features of early buy out program, however, I do not believe the dollar amounts on this are correct. For example, I am 1 month out on my upgrade (June 1) and it would cost me $45 to buy out of my contract; this holds true up until 4 months out.
I'm not sure what the numbers would be outside of this time frame, and I don't believe Sprint has made this info publicly available. Your best bet on finding out is contacting their retention depart by dialing '*2' and talking to them about. Everyone else will act like they don't have a clue on what you're talking about, and will give you the run around.
Good luck!
I went to a Sprint store today and they said I am eligible for a upgrade. I can pay $50 today to pre-order the EVO LTE. They would also give me $70 dollars for my EVO WIMAX. That leaves me paying $80 when it comes to the store. In the end I decided to wait until 4G LTE is available in my area before I buy the phone. Sprint 3G sucks and the 4G is necessary at times when there is no good WiFi available.
Amazon has it for $50 upgrade and $20 new contract. Checked Sprint and VZW for that deal. That's a great price for this great phone. AT&T is $59 for upgrade and new contract.
amazon charges tax on the full retail ($650) of the phone for California and maybe other states, if you want your best price hit up wirefly for non AT&T variants. Got mine VZW shipped for $50 even, no BS.
Wirefly even has sprint for $20
