[Q] Battery charge problem - stops after a minute - HD2 General

I have the original battery and bought an extended battery.
Problem: Will only charge when the phone is in magldr menu, and the charging is very slow there.
When booted in to a rom ( I have tried wp7, android nand, android sd) it will only charge for a minute + - and start draining batttery. When I remove the usb cable and re attach the charger, it will charge for another minute and then start draining battery again.
What can be the problem?
The original battery is near its life time, but the new extended battery should be able to charge well.
Have tried several different roms with same result...

You should flash a stock ROM and see what happens...

Battery Charging Problem

If I let the battery on my Wizard run down completely, I can't get it to recharge, either with a wall charger or USB charge/sync cable. I have to replace the battery. Is there a way to jump-start the charging process?
After I put in the new battery I can't even get the Wizard to boot up. I have to reflash with the provider ROM and then flash with my desired ROM. I know I shouldn't let the battery run down, but I have several Wizards that I alternately use, and unused, the battery runs down and then the Wizard won't restart and the battery won't recharge.
Been there!
I solved this problem by buying an extra battery, which I keep with me, fully charged in my laptop case. As far as the wizard goes, it will only charge the battery if the operating system is booted and operational. I was lucky to find a site with a whole group of people who had the same problem and came up with a solution that is crude, but it works. Take a usb to mini usb cable and cut the mini end off. Strip the black and red wires, plug it into your laptop or desktop usb port and touch the black to the negative terminal of your battery and the red to the positive. Hold them in place for about 20-30 seconds, place the battery back in the phone and it should boot and then charge normally. Somewhere on this site you will find this information and a couple of posts from people who used basically the same tehnique with a nine volt battery. I can tell you the usb cable trick works, but I haven,t tried the battery approach.
Good Luck!

Hi,
Are you now using an extended battery?
Thanks of the response,
No its 1230 mah.
Help, I'm having the same problem. My battery is no longer charger now matter how or where I plug in the phone (car, computer, AC outlet). I have a battery I bought from Batteries Plus that was working fine until yesterday when the battery indicator started going haywire and the battery wouldn't charge. I also have another battery I bought from eBay that is doing the same thing. They are both 1350 mAh batteries.
Check the connection battery pins on the phone there are 3 of them and sometimes they get bent up with taking the battery out and putting it back in mostly the center pin if any are bent up gently push down with light force until they all aligned and pointing strait towards the top of the phone. I hope that helps.

[Q] MAGLDR 1.13 battery wont charge unique

So I have read about MAGLDR 1.13 battery drain fix "*Fixed Power-Off-Cable-Plug-Stop. Phone now detects this situation and reboots. Battery controller inside LEO needs runtime control during charge, it implemented in OS." and Yes that works fine! However once im in my OS Hyperdroid, my battery dies instantly and my phone turns off and turns back on thanks to MAGLDR then repeats until I unplug my charger.
Why wont my battery charge once im in the OS
Side note - I have taken the batery out and charged it via USB Red on + and Black on - If i charge it for 30 sec it will boot to OS and have 0% once i stick the charger in it dies instantly and reboots
Side note 2 - "" If I charge for over a min via Red/Black +/- it will boot into os and give me a inaccurate battery reading of 60-65% and will not charge once I insert the charger.
Can anybody help?
It looks, you may have to charge battery a little bit in Bootloader screen before you can turn in to OS.
I think something might be wrong with your cable or charger. When you charge, do you get over 800ma or similar? Use current widget to check.
$1 gets you a reply
Have the charger plugged in all the time, and charging should start long before the rom finishes booting. The also, do use the wall charger, and not the pc's usb slot, which may connect and disconnect the time or two during boot, and stopping charging.
Thanks guys I have used 2 different chargers and it doesnt seem to be the case, im going to chop this up as I need a new battery, when i charge it manually via Red/Black to +/- for over 30sec it gives my O/S a false reading and says its 65% charged, ima buy a new one and see if this is the case.... I really hope this works and thanks for your help!

Phone bricked ? What can i do

Hi guys !
I have a problem, i have flashed my phone with cyanogen but during the flash i haven't enough battery and the phone go off, i charge it with a usb cable with the + and - wire plug on the battery, reflash it with rsd lite in stock rom, but now i have the icon of the battery with a "?" on it, what can i do ? I try flash cyanogen but i have too the icon with a "!" this time. I'm not on guarranty.
Sorry for my english.
Thank's.
If i can't do anything, i should sell it for piece, or can i repair it in a shop ?
Try wiping Battery Stats
Have you tried wiping battery stats in CWM? Do you have another battery to test? I think you may have damaged only your battery as the signs that you mentioned are for faulty battery.
u should check with another battery. Get a replacement somewhere (and maybe a wall charger too)
I have try with another battery but that's the same problem ...
Download the "Battery Calibration" by NeMA on the market (i think that it already comes in CM), can the app show your battery level?
You always charge your battery with this "wall charger"? Does the phone charge the battery or it does nothing when plugged to the charger or PC's USB?
Yes battery calibration see the battery level.
No it didn't charge when the phone is pluged on my pc with usb...
I read from a forum somewhere that "!" appears when a non original motorola battery is inserted. Maybe some components in your battery got fried when you wired the battery directly from the usb hence the phone detected the original battery as non original. Then you may have used a non original replacement battery to test on the phone which is the reason why you still got the "!" mark. Try to borrow an original battery from someone else and see if the mark disappears.

Extended battery not charging

So, recently I bought a Liecke Extended battery. It arrived mostly charged, and I discharged it. (I was running typhoon's CM7 NAND with MAGLDR). It dropped to zero charge, and would stay at zero if I plugged it in (Both to the PC and wall socket), but not charge. I tried a few different ROMS, including tytung's ROM, which should have extended battery support. Then I reset it back to stock, and the battery still would not charge when the phone was on, but would remain at the same level. It did however charge when the phone was off. I then tried tytung's ROM with cLK, which also didn't charge, even when off, but stayed at the same charge level. The stock battery works perfectly, it's just the extended one I'm having trouble with. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it a faulty battery? Any help would be great.
Thanks!
Should be a faulty or incompatible non-standard Extended battery. Do you have an external charger? See if it charges on it...
Swyped from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
