Hi! Guys.. I've just bought my GT-P6800 since March 2012, but, then trying to flash some Custom ROM via Odin or CWM Recovery. I've found a lot of useful tips and helps in here. Thanks for those who has putting their efforts all this time. Even so, I have only rooted my device and added the CWM Recovery mode. But, i also have been back to Stock ROM for several times in event that I'm not satisfied with the Custom ROMs I've flashed into it.
My problem is that my Power Menu MOD not coming back with the original menu. I have tried all the guides in this forum but it doesn't make any change to the Power Menu MOD. Attached herewith the power menu and about phone's screenshots. I'm hoping that someone will giving me helps or guides in order to solve the problem. Thanks in advance.

Hi I just got my new droid 2 and flashed cm7 2.3.7 onto it. I was sad to find out that the camera doesn't work on this version at all. I was hoping to flash liberty but i don't know if i can just flash it over cm7 or if i have to flash my rom back to stock. Any help or advice would be great!
Thanks,
Albinoman
The lastest version of CM7 has a working camera. It's said not to let the screen lock though with the camera app open or it will FC. Dumb I know, but they are making progess.
Can I just flash the new one over my current one? Do I have to wipe data/cache?

So ive had my droid R2D2 for about 5 months now, and im just starting to experiment with custom roms. So far ive been trying to use ROM manager, and i used it to install clockwork recovery mod, but it didn't take nearly as long as it seemed to have taken other people to flash. On top of that, no matter what i try whether i try to boot into recovery from ROM manager, or just turn my phone off and then hold the power button with the x hard button on my keyboard, it takes me to a picture of the android guy with an exclamation point, and when i try to hit the search hard button on my keyboard to bring up menu options it doesnt do anything. As for right now im just trying to back up my current stock ROM, but i would eventually like to install a custom rom as well. Any suggestions or highly recommended ROM's either? I was gonna go with cm7 but if there were others someone highly suggested i would like to know about them.

Hi I just bought this phone and im getting very confused with all the instructions everywhere for this phone. So far i've only managed to root it. It's on default Froyo 2.2.1. Im trying to install Frugu (kernel) with the voodoo additions and then onecosmic's ICS. But im so lost with what to do. Used to be easy with the xperia x8. Could someone show me in the right direction?
Go to Sammobile.com and download stock gingerbread rom. Install using Odin. (Instruction can be found on sammobile and xda forum just search). Make sure u have three button recovery mode. After installation via Odin look for a kernel (semaphore or chainfire's kernel)with clockworkmod and flash via Odin.
The remaining steps for installing ics can be found on the various threads.
Hope this helps

i suggest you to flash teamhacksung's port of ICS, i have it and it's awesome! my friend try onecosmic's port and have problems..
ICS is brilliant but if you want reliability and good battery life. Any 2.3.6 rom is good. Especially mintberry Miui. Just an Opinion. I'd explore different custom roms to find the perfect one for you. Btw if any flashing goes wrong and you. Think you have bricked your phone, but download mode is great for sorting it. (power vol down home), thanks.

Thanks for the help agbemenu, but im stuck again. I can't get Fugu or ICS to install in CWM. Whenever I try it cuts out, reboots and then is stuck in a bootloop. So I then have to reflash GB and semaphore to get a working phone again.
EDIT: AntAust1513 The main reason I bought this phone was to try out the ICS roms . Battery isn't much of a concern
EDIT2: I finally got it to work. Turns out I forgot to reset to factory defauls. After this it installed Glitch in ICS, rebooted, installed ICS, rebooted into ICS, asked to reset. Resetted it again then it took about 5 mins and it booted into a working ICS. Thanks for the help guys! =D
EDIT3: No GSM. I did flash the fix provided but I still get no GSM -.-. Any ideas?
EDIT4: Got that working by reflashing Fugu and resetting to factory. Damn its alot to get this working xD

You should probably take a look around. It's a few touches away.

Have you tried installing one using your phone?
There is custom recoveries available. go to the Android Development forum and go to Shabbypenguins OUHDS recovery thread, and it provides excellent instructions on installing the recovery and then on installing root on it. Then your ready to go to flash roms. Right now Unknownforce's Force Rom is the only TW rom, and Slim bean is the only AOSP rom in beta - though alpha builds for CM, PA, and AOKP are currently being worked on by a great dev and should be up and running soon enough!
EDIT: CM is actually in Beta as well at the moment!
And personally I have never had a mac, nor nothing anything about the limitations of using a mac using these methods, so you should definitely look into it if it is different at all.

If you want a recovery without a computer. Download Goo manager from the play store. This will give you twrp recovery.

TWRP has a few issues with it still that they are trying to work out. Primarily some touch sensitivity problems. I recommend going with OUDHS until they get worked out.
I will also be switching to TWRP as well once it's quirk free!

thanks all for the information. i was hoping cwm or twrp were stable and good to go but i will try these out until i can get a stable one. hopefully more s5 roms will be coming soon.

I have tried to find this all over the xda forums and I'm sorry if I have over looked it somewhere but here goes...
I'm working on trying to root my new Galaxy S4 SGM-M919 from T-Mobile. I have managed to use Odin and flashed the stock firmware so I can confirm Odin works with my make/model but I have not found a tutorial on the xda forums that tells n00bs what to do.
Currently I have been using the following threads to try to get it rooted...
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671969
On the ladder one I got my stock firmware to flash so that's a step in the right direction, but I can't seem to find any type of "insecure kernel" used in the "quick root" section.
Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Hey Malybru,
Know any Roms for the M919 that will let me keep Wifi Calling? Tried the 4.3 Google Play Rom but it doesn't have it. Back on stock with root until I find a solution.

Hey man, first download odin 1.85, go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294005 is located in this same site. Follow instruction but basically create a backup of all you applications and phone contacts!!! after that power off phone then when its off hold down volume down button and home button then while holding those button press the power button and when it vibrates let go of power while still holding volume down and home (you will get to the download screen. When you see the screen start odin using administration rights then press the volume up on phone. Under the PDA look for the suto jfl file and start it up and it will root for you. Once the phone starts open the store and update SuperSu (I suggest buying the professional to show support) after update open it and let it update the binary files. Your are now rooted my friend, I suggest get titanium backup, adaway, F-Droid (google it F-Droid apk download) install that and look for AdAway, get ROM Manager to flash and backup your current rom, also get triangle away to reset the flash but can only be used on stock rom and being rooted. If this helps please give that thumbs up. Good luck

I use Infamous ROMs, they are the best in my opinion, lets you fully customize the phones look and keeps the stock applications but without the bloat stuff and very reliable and fast oh and it comes with a few other apps for over clocking. Buy their 3Minit Settings from the store to show support and this will also let you customize the look and feel of the phone and it can be used with all of their custom ROMs.
I'm on 4.3 OFW Infamous v10 Galaxy S4 (this can be install on many different versions phones, just follow the instructions while installing.
Hey I've installed several different ROMs and kernels and even a WiFi fix. What u want is to have NY s4 on EE network back to the factory settings and have it as it was when I got it out if the box. What's easiest way to do this? I cant seem to find the original kernel or rom. Thanks
There are many online guides available. A quick Google search leads to androidrootz.com
