Does anyone know of a way to turn off/hide the WiFi signal strength and battery icons?
I ask because I recently installed "Cool Tool" (I like it much better for displaying system performance information, including WiFi signal strength and battery) so I'd like to gain a little more space for it in the status bar by turning off/hiding those icons.
Settings -> ADW Settings -> Screen Preferences, check the "Hide Status Bar"
That hides the entire status bar. I just want to hide the WiFi and battery icons only.
Edit: Actually, for CM7, that setting doesn't seem to do anything at all.
Settings>Cyanogen Mod Settings>Interface>Notification Power Widget
The first option "Notification Power Widget" will turn off the buttons altogether or you can click "Widget buttons" to pick and choose which ones you want.
For status bar settings go to Cyanogen Mod Settings>Tablet Tweaks
These are some of the best features of Cyanogen Mod in my opinion!

Well that only configures the buttons for the notification panel, not the status bar. I'm looking for a way to turn off/hide the WiFi signal strength icon and the battery level icon on the status bar.

Yes I agree, but under that settings panel I don't see any options to hide/show the WiFi signal strength and batter level icons.
You need to edit the SystemUI.apk file in /system/app/. I was trying to do it too, but didn't find any more information.
i cant find the option for battery percentage......and why isnt there a sound/silent/vibrate toggle ?

In the status bar? There isn't one, unless you're on a custom rom. you can see it in quick settings by pulling down the status bar (aka notification tray) with two fingers at the same time. For the sound/silent/vibrate, hold the power button until a menu pops up. The 3 options on the bottom under airplane mode are the sound/vibrate/silent with no vibrate toggles.
Use 'Power Toggle' app
Hello
I have a S4 i9500,
So the problem is I am toggling the different sound profiles from the toggle menu.. But they aren't being update in the status bar. It shows the "Silent Mode" icon irrespective of which mode I have selected in the dropdown.
I also tried going to Settings->Sounds and notification and changed the profile.. but the statusbar icon doesn't change and HENCE my phone doesn't vibrate or ring when a call comes.
I tried checking whether the vibration and sound hardware is alright via *#0*# .. they seem fine and are working.
Don't know if any third party app is interfering with the statusbar
Any helP?
Thanks
Hello all,
I'm coming from SlimKat on S4 mini and I could not get following 3 things on B564:
fast lockscreen disable; I used to enable lockscreen protection from system settings then have Power Toggles widget to disable it; this way I needed to unlock phone just once for each turn on
use shortcut on launcher screen to make phone calls; tried Nova and GO Launcher, always having something "permission denied" message
icons on status bar are stuck to default image so don't show "custom" information: e.g. weather application do not show temperature, Power Toggle notification do not show date, Tasker cannot change its icon, etc.
any helping suggestion?
Thank you
My status bar, meaning the one that shows the battery percentage and Wi-Fi symbol and the clock is not showing anymore unless I pull it down. It's like it is auto hiding itself and I cannot find any setting or anything on Google that tells how to fix this
