Is there a way to root without a computer? I don't have access to a computer and need to root with only my TF101.
Thanks
Only of you are on firmware 8.6.5.19. If you're not on that firmware then no.
Got Root?
I'm twerking with ICS, and the root method that dates Feb 24 is a dud; or so it seems. Also, after searching up and down this forum I'm unable to find a manual method to root . I'm open to an operational 1 click method, but not too shy to give the manual root method a try. Either way, I'll continue my search in the forum til I get a reply, thanks in advance XD

use the new version with 3.0.0.5
root application vs adb root
universal root / 1 click / z4 root application will not full root your phone they gives only super user app & support some application which required Su permissions
For full root need adb rooting follow this link

you can get ADB root without rooting your phone first. I want to install the modded wifi tethering app on my VZW G2 but don't want to root it if I don't have to (mainly just because of time constraints). I have searched how to do this, but all the instructions I find say you need to be rooted to use ADB Insecure/root. If it is possible to just get ADB root without rooting your phone, can someone point to detailed instructions?
Yes, look for the root thread and use the side load adb option. Next, buy that dev a beer.
This has probably been answered but I'm not finding it anywhere. Is it possible to root Verizon LG G2 39A without a PC? I tried stump and towel root, both say they've been patched. Also found this method: http://www.laurivan.com/root-a-lg-g2-on-osx/ but I have no idea how old it is or if it works.
I thought there used to be a sticky on this forum with current root methods but maybe that has changed, I've been mia a while. Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Heck, even a pointer to the latest root method for PC might be something.
All I want to do is root this thing, but no matter what I've tried it just doesn't want to work. Has anyone actually managed to root this?

I've done it. I used the newest version of Kingroot from the Google Playstore (ver 4.8 at the time of this writing) If I recall correctly I *think* Kingroot may have shown an issue getting root access. However, after rebooting the device the rooting process did work. I was able to verify it by using root checker (basic version). After I had root I replaced Kingroot with SuperSU and once again verified using root checker. Still rooted... Be careful to take one step at a time. If you can reply with specifics and what order you did them in I might be able to help.

Exactly what the title says. The other threads I've found were a 2-3 months old figured why not ask again?? SO is there any working root method for this variant?? I tried cf auto root and it doesn't work at all just fails. Any input would be appreciated thanks guys
King root doesn't work either. Gets to about 30% than hangs there forever
Any updates on this?
