I have an A500 with stock 3.2.1. So I have the notification to upgrade to ICS OTA. Downloaded the file, when tablet reset it went back to a black screen with a green Android and a progressing bar appeared. The bar went up to around 25%; after that, a yellow exclamation symbol inside the Android appeared and the tablet reset. When it is back on, a message of upgrade fail shows up.
What I have done trying to resolve this issue:
-Factory Reset.
-Copy the update.zip file to a memory card and tried to install it from it.
Any other suggestion

I am one of the many Droid Pro users that did not receive the Gingerbread update before Verizon pulled the OTA update. I decided tonight that I would try to update with an update.zip file using the recovery method. The install appeared to be going well right up until the end. At around 90% or so the update failed and abandoned the update, I selected to restore the original firmware and restarted the phone. The phone restarted and this time the Motorola icon had changed from the normal white icon to a red icon, I'm assuming that something changed. The phone then went black, power still applied to the screen but just black. I could hear the phone starting up as it made its characteristic DROID noise and the keyboard and screen buttons illuminated, however nothing shows up on the screen, it still remains black.
I have tried numerous methods to reset or restore but I am unable to get anything to display on the screen other than the red icon as the device powers up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
should flash the stock firmware.
Did the new update to MK2, and after I finally fixed some issues I was having with the Kies firmware update error screen, my phone was working great. I turned my phone off last night to put a new battery in, and when I turned it back on, it booted my home screen, but it was completely black. I can access the status bar, and get to the settings, but there are no apps at all showing in the application manager. It seems as if everything is missing.
I have downloaded the MK2 update, flashed it through recovery as well as adb and it still boots but everything just shows black. It won't let me flash back to MF3 through Odin. After I do a MK2 flash, it boots to the welcome screen, but when it scans for wifi, there is no keyboard to type in my password. I have skipped through that, and made it to the homescreen, but still black. Any suggestions? All help is appreciated!
I somehow got the MF3 files to flash on my phone, but now when it boots, it comes up with the "Software not authorized by Saumsung has been found on your phone". I can get to Odin mode, but when booting to recovery, the blue line shows at the top that says "Recovery Booting" then it goes to the software not authorized screen.. At the top of the software screen it says secure fail:kernel.. Can anyone tell me we what to flash to get rid of this? I feel like pulling my hair out because I've worked on it so long lol
Ever since receiving an OTA update a few days ago, my phone was never able to successfully reboot again. Instead, it does exactly this when I turn it on: Samsung logo appears when booting, then the At&t logo with the word "installing..." or "updating..." along with a loading bar at the bottom appears. The loading bar reaches 100%, but then it will say "update failed", and it reboots and the same process happens again. I've let the phone run on it's own for several ours to see if it'll ever snap out of the loop, but it just stays in the same never-ending cycle of constant rebooting and updating. My phone wasn't rooted and worked perfectly fine before the update, so I suspect something went wrong while it was updating. I tried pressing the home, volume, and power buttons in attempt to initiate a recovery boot and do a factory-reset, but nothing happens. And I've tried replacing the battery, SIM card, and micro SD card, but there's still no change. I still am, however, able to set it in ODIN mode, but I'm not sure what to do since I'm not techie/literate. Please help, I don't know how to get my phone properly working again.
I have tried 4 different recovery packages and it seems that the flash-alls.bat works but whenever it boots back up its in the same state. First it used to freeze on the red green blue swirling colors and then restart even after the 1.3 update, 3.2.0, and 3.2.0 rooted. It's taking two hours each time and it is seeing the device. Everything is saying OKAY and success. I got into twrp and wiped everything and now it just stays on the green Nvidia logo. Here are my steps for restoring
Holding down the power and going into the fastboot menu. In CMD typing I'm flash-all.bat it is seeing my box as there and it goes through but when it boots back up nothing changes
I have a pro if that help
I am running out of ideas on why this is not working
It seems like after trying to go back to stock and everything is successful it's like nothing has changed.
Please help
If anyone is reading this with the same problem the bat file was the problem and I copied one from the the rooted recovery folder to the normal folder
I downloaded the 2016-11 update - hit restart and install and as it starts to boot I get the green android robot on his back, red triangle and an exclamation mark - it also says "no Command" further down the screen - it then starts as normal after about 1 minute - Please help what can I do? I had spent a day reinstalling and configuring this repaired phone. The hardware repair is otherwise fine.
