Hi everyone!!! Everytime when booting my phone, it's stuck on Google Logo, I have to to fastboot it with franco r14 kernel in order to get it booting done. Is there any way so I dont have to fastboot everytime I restart my phone, flash to stock kernel or franco r15 ???
I tried to flash faux123 kernel but it just did not work, stuck on Google logo...
If I recall correctly, franco kernel uses a different ramdisk so before you switch to another kernel you have to return to stock (kernel)
I suggest return to stock kernel, then flash franco r15.

This is what faux suggest to use to reset to stock kernel, for stock ROM only.

If you're in franco, before you switch to another kernel you have to return to stock kernel.
I don't know why you're stuck with Google logo in the first place with franco, but if you're just switching between kernels, especially when there is franco kernel involved, return to stock kernel will likely solve the problem.
I flash franco kernel without backup the original one. I found a stock kernel in alternative post however it is no rooted. Can somebody share the rooted stock kernel of 4.2.2? Thanks.

Uhm, root is not in the kernel mate. Just flash the stock kernel and you will not loose root.

Hello XDA,
I am currently running the beta firmware for the oppo find 5, X909EN_13_130531_Beta
I am wanting to install faux123 kernal, meaning i need to install a new recovery as im currently running the stock one,
if i do install CWM and install the faux123 oppo find 5 kernal,
what will happen when oppo releases a new beta firmware? will i be able to get the update? how would i go about getting the update?
thanks guys.
much appreciated.
I think that while updating to a newer beta, the kernel by faux will be simply replaced by the new stock kernel inside the update

Thats true stock will overwrite. Then you should be able to flash faux123 kernel over stock again, most likely anyways unless its a major upgrade to like 4.2 then I'm sure faux will release an up to date kernel himself..

Yep, and actually ... I keep saying this but, the best part about this phone is being able to get stock firmware updates via system recovery, stock or custom. When a new update comes out just download the patch or full zip file and put it on your phone, boot into recovery and flash. As mentioned your custom KernEl will be overwritten by the stock kernEl when you update. But.. both CWM and TWRP allow you to keep your custom recovery when updating, thus allowing you to easily reflash Faux123 kernel if you wanted!

I'm not getting any Kernel Links for the Sprint 9505. Trying to obtain full root using "
[RECOVERY]SPH-L720 OUDHS Recovery" I'm stuck at "With the SGS4 samsung has introduced a setuid kernel, which will block root access. you will need to flash a source compiled kernel in order to fully root." Then there is a reply... "Is there a source compiled kernel available?" The threads reply....yes, i have a stock one, agat has his and faux's....SO....HELP....where can I download these? Google search is hopeless thus far
whats the quickest and easiest way to get rid of this error? Thanks in advanced
Flash a kernel that actually has the kexec-hardboot parch.

when i installed multiman i install it with a 'stock 4.1' is the stock referring to my android version?? If so i had android 4.2 at the time and just updated to android 4.3 so do i need to re install multiman? also will i need to use kexec hardboot patch 4.2 or does 4.2 only work on android version 4.2?? Sorry for all the question guys but thanks in advanced for the help.
If you use multirom to install the kernel, yes, choose the version of Android you're on.
You can also just flash a custom kernel yourself in recovery that has the patch and is compatible with your version of android. M-kernel, franco's kernel, oxydo, and faux's kernel i believe will all work.
