Dear friends,
I've a difference kind of problem (as I've searched the forum). My wildfire runs on stock rom (2.2). Not updated.
The problem is, even after fully charged, the phone works for merely 30 minutes.
After fully charged the battery shows 100% within 30 munites it comes to 10% and red colour then goes off. If switched on again the battery shows 100% and then the same process. I tried battery calibration too. Nothing helping.
Any of you can help me in solving this?
Thanking you in advance.
Battery weared as far as I know.
Faced this issue with other phones. Definitely it is a battery problem. If u speak on a call with this battery, the phone gets switched off instantly. And when using phone plugged into wall charger, it works fine.
Try to confirm it by checking with friends batteries if u find any.

You mean I need a new battery?

Exactly.
But pls confirm it before purchasing a new battery. I maybe wrong too.
EDIT : if there are any applications that show the percentage of battery wear, they might help u . Try for those too.

Thanks a lot for your info. I will.
If you have clockwork recovery, try wiping the battery data. ( it could be called battery stats. I cant remember the exact name). See if that helps.
But as others suggested, it maybe a battery problem. Just worth a shot.

OK. I will try and thanks
Also, when wiping bat stats, chrge the phone for about 4 hours so that it's 100%
OK, thanks.
my battery drains from 55% to 50% in a sec.. any idea why is that problem?
i've already done the battery calibration and the problem is still here..

During call this fix may not work properly....
but it was in a rasting state.. none of the apps have ran...
I have the same problem, mine is 30% to 19% it happens to me twice within a minute
sorry for my english
Did you try calibrate the battery once??
yes..
Battery drop/ not chargeable to 100% seems to be the only problem to Defy plus
I'm wondering if I should just buy a normal defy battery for my Defy+. No more need for battery fix

Download Battery calibration from the play store, charge your phone till 100% and then calibrate the batterty. The app erases the battery history (which is false and is the reason for such drops). And from there the history file is brand new and the drops will be over

This is an old problem with Defy battery and I was experiencing it some 10 months ago..
I tried all the tricks in the book and nothing solves it; I always (90% of the time) see a drop from 56% yo 49% (and sometimes another one around 25% to 21%).
At least three people (one being Walter79) said that it is a hardware issue and that they've fixed that with a new battery.
i have a defy plus MB 526 with gingerbread kernel and espys CM9-NIGHTLY-120723-Defy+ , when i recharge my device it only charge upto 80 %. I even cleared battery stats using cwm recovery and calibrated at 80 %. Could anyone help me i need to recharge to 100%

I am not an expert but i think you can do this....
1. Clear your batter stat
2. Drain your phones battery completely
3. Recharge your phone to 100% while it is switched off. (this might take 2 hours i think)
4. Once it is completely recharged....then use any battery calibration application and calibrate it while it is 100% charged.
I hope this works, else you will need to find some battery fix for this problem
Thanks.
Maybe u hav a defective battery mate. Try another battery, see if u still got 80%.

Hi guys, my Defy doesn`t recognize the battery after a unsuccessful flash.
I took it to the assistence and now if I take the battery of, plug into the USB, I can go to the Bootloader (I'll see the Low Battery advice) and waiting some seconds the phone turns on and the battery marker is with a question mark, if I put it on nothing heapends.
I've tried a lot of things including the MacMyver method and no sucess. So please help me.
