As I had stated in another thread, I could not go with another brand of phone. I could certainly go with another carrier without an issue, especially with the T-mob acquisition from ATT. I will never go with ATT, nothing but bad experiences with them.
The reason I will stay with Samsung are as follows.
More local storage, more app storage, more memory, better screen, gorilla glass and finally, faster phone in general. This is my experience and from watching specs it does not seem like this will change either.
This is the experience I have had, granted I started my android foray with the Vibrant and have only used friends phones for other models to test for short whiles, rarely more than a day.

I thought I should share this review video I came across. I have gone through so many galaxy note reviews, but this has been straight up the best. Really feel connected, and I think a lot of the galaxy note current users who love the phone would connect with the review a lot.. and those who are still thinking of buying a Note, definitely check it out.

Interesting. I've come to the stage with the SGS2 where I need to gift it to my partner & get a new phone, it being a bit small now it seems to me. I've wondered about the SGS3 but that may not be a lot bigger, 4.65 rumor? So bottom line, the Note is really OK for everyday use?

the Note is supreme, the one to rule them all...The only thing I can see missing is IR port, so it could be used as a TV remote, then it would have been the complete phone..the ultimate..
Ericsson P800 had everything, it was supreme...crappy screen and touch function, but not far from the best.

A great review, and he's very entertaining! I agree with him about the size and power of the note making it more than a phone. Any future upgrade will have to be to something very similar to my note.

Great video. I think alot of people thought the same way when they first take a look at it.
Its funny how normal the note is once you get use to it. You only really notice how big it is when you use another device.

It is an awesome phone. I've had mine for about a month mine. Switched from an iPhone 4S. Took me a while to get accustomed but after trying multiple roms and kernels, I now don't think I'd go back to the 4S.
mine arrived yesterday, and its a great device, other than I am still wiping drool from it..

Upgraded from SGS2 last week (loved the S2) for the screen... VERY happy!

yes the pics are bogus ...but Samsung claims that the S4 will be nothing like what anyone can imagine ....the S4 will be a whole new generation of a smartphone ...many new technologies will be introduced
so if everyone thinks that the Galaxy S2 & S3 are impressive ...iam sure the S4 will rock the world ...it has to for Samsung to survive
if Apple doesn't sue the life out of them by then

all i know is when Samsung got the final judgement.... Apple Stock hit the moon + the cool 1 billion dollars they got ....Apple isnt going to just go away ! ....Samsung has to make some serious things happen & fast ....thats my 2 cents

Samsung is much, much, MUCH larger than their mobile division. Saying Samsung won't survive because one of their clients is suing a foreign office of their mobile division is like saying the USA will go bankrupt because IBM Argentina lost money.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Saying Samsung will go broke because of 1 device is a statement of stupidity: they don't know jack about Samsung. They don't know that whatever happens, Samsung is in a win-win position: if Apple takes the hill, Samsung wins, because they provide several key components (like DDR memory) for the iCrap devices. Samsung's solid state and IC business is waaay larger than their mobile division. What we see with Samsung phones is like the tip of the iceberg. They manufacture ICs and components that are used in every single industry: manufacturing, military, health, telecom, etc, etc, etc.
BTW, why are people feeding these trolls?
I don't care what it looks like, just get rid of the f½#$£# physical home button and I'll be happy.

Now their stock is gone back down again because of ip5 disappointment and not-as-impressive-as-hoped sales figures.
They haven't got one cent of that 1 billion dollars yet and its looking more and more likely that they won't be getting it at all.
Their rubberband patent has been deemed invalid as of today, bring on the appeals.
The USPTO is finally copping on to what apple are doing, I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen to more of their patents.

Although possible, I doubt that by Christmas it will be 10 million. A good portion of the 5 million sales figure probably incorporates Samsung's distributors, carriers, and retailers. Nonetheless, this does project likely high sales, but again, I doubt 10 million. Regardless, I love this phone and I should be getting mine Monday! I'm extremely excited.
The Note 2 is without a doubt the best phone i ever had (and had a lot ). It`s fast, rockstable and can do about anything, allready out of the box.
Got my new Note yesterday, haven't been able to put it down since turning it on. A very impressive piece of technology. Have finally found a phone with a decent loudspeaker on it, which makes it worthy of watching movies on...just got to try and sell my SIII now

+10000000 on this. More OEM's should focus on features like this on their flagships. Cough HTC cough cough lg cough Microsoft cough cough apple. Just kidding about apple. But between apple and Samsung maybe other OEMS will figure it out before they lose more face. SMDH high end phones would still have sub par sound when at the very least loudspeaker could benefit from it, not to mention the audio codecs supported natively and then output in general. Did you all also know that noise cancelation benefits battery savings also? Thank Samsung for the high end noise canceling, audience chip, which makes for higher quality calls and doesn't have to transmit extraneous noise from the background so the person you're talking to enjoys a nice clear audio quality.

Got mine a month back amazing phone! the display size is perfect for me (my hands are a little big) and its consistently fast! im not going to root it at all cause it's awesome just the way it is! can't wait for the official android 4.2 update! and as for battery life..7h48m at 20% aint such a bad thing right?
its a beast no doubt abt that coming from a iphone 5 was waste of resources !!!!

I just got mine last week after years of iphone. I was waiting for iphone 5 i then igot disappointed. So i start looking for another choice. I never liked android. But i give a try to the note 2 and meeeennnn this is from another league.

After having a galaxy s (still going) and seeing Samsung's lack of software support, on that alone I'd choose the HTC ONE. I'd be happy with the hardware upgrade of the S4, but the ONE seems like its of better build quality.
Not only that, but the whole PR debacle where Samsung was revealed to have been spreading bad user reviews of the HTC One also casts a shadow of doubt on anybody ridiculously badmouthing the One. Good job Samsung!
Hopefully the fact that almost all of the reviews mention the HTC One in comparison will give it the media exposure it is lacking due to minimal advertising.
Wow is that confirmed to be true? But yeah its some media exposure for HTC is always good.

In my past experiences, Samsung was not much better. I hated dealing with their customer service as well, was a pain in the rear.

i never had a phone from them, but i had one of their high end $ 3000 led tv got it replaced twice by amazon (thanks amazon) while samsung customer service a-hole told me (after 50+ calls over a month and 2 tv sets) they will not honor the warranty due me abusing the tv by keeping it on for more than 6 hours because the tv was reseting every 15-30 min (really i bought an lg led never had problem with and will keep on for a day sometime w/o problem), so no thanks if samsung will make the last anything on the planet i will not buy it.

Sony , Nokia , ASUS, LG's problems disappeared in a second. hTC sacrifices itself to save the world.
I was one of the people who was torn between the S4 and HTC One i kept changing me mind right up to the last minute. I was coming from an S2 which i never had any problems with infact its still a great phone over 2 years old (the misses uses it now and loves it) I'm glad i went with the One though it has that WOW factor that i dont think the S4 has. i'm more than happy with my decision the One is an amazing piece of kit
I take it all but the most demented Sammy trolls are now far too busy over on the S4 forums to hang around our street corner anymore.
