Hey!
I saw that a lot of people had trouble with the battery. I wrote down a few steps that will help you with this problem.
1. First, take a look at what uses the most battery, so you know which step will be most effective. (settings > battery > battery usage data OR settings > about phone > battery use)(or something similar. It should be there somewhere)
2. Dim the screen
3. Turn off gps
4. Only use 2g networks if you don't plan on using data
5. Turn off Wifi when you don't use it
6. Turn off bluetooth if you don't use it
7. Disable push notifications (the built-in email app uses it)
8. Remove apps that you don't use anymore
9. Disable live wallpapers
10. Use JuiceDefender: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.latedroid.juicedefender&feature=search_result
The following steps need root access:
11. Underclock/undervolt when the screen is off. I believe this app can do that: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.amana.android.cputuner&feature=search_result
12. Disable autostarts (apps that start up automatically): https://play.google.com/store/apps/...rfer.android.autostarts&feature=search_result
Note: I haven't tried the last one myself
I hope this will help you!

Hey guys,
I've got an app called "Unlock with WiFi" installed on my rooted Nexus 4. I cannot for the life of me get the d*** thing off my phone. It had requested to be a device admin (which I had approved a while ago). However, I cannot deactivate it under Security>Device administrators...the checkbox just will NOT uncheck. I've tried uninstalling from within the app, which is what the app FAQs say to do, but it says I must first deactivate the app as a device admin.
I wasn't even rooted prior to tonight. I got so frustrated trying to uninstall it, I just did a quick root and installed TiBu...then proceeded to "Un-Install!" It looked like it had worked, I rebooted, then there it was again! I just want it gone! Any suggestions? I'd really rather not have to flash the stock images, but if that's my only option, I will -_-
I'm not familiar with the app but go into the app and find any and all settings to disable it to make sure the app is no longer running. Then go into Settings > Apps and stop the app. Then go back to Settings and remove the device from administrators. See if that works for you.
Have you tried settings >accessibility and turn it off there?

I've disabled the functionality from within the
app, but cannot disable/force close from Android settings (see attached pic). I've even tried booting into safe mode, but experience the same issues.

It's not in accessibility, only in device administrators...and Android will not let me uncheck it.
Hi. I just started using mobile internet but my telco only give me 250MB per month. What apps do you recommend that can control the data usage? For starters I've been using android firewall to block some apps from using my data. But I would like to know more apps. And how do I block the system update OTA from using my data to check for updates?
Why not just turn off the data radio until you actually need it?

Try This.
CALL TIMER CONTROL PRO

Just use Greenify. Best app and has really good response. If you try this you'll never go back. It hibernates lots of apps and stops them from draining batt/data in the background remember to disable notifications in the background for all internet-related apps.
Greenify also works for ALL apps. Just add it to the grenify list.
It's the only app you're gonna need and is gonna solve your problem.
Also in settings, set the Data usage limit so you don't exceed it. Good luck

What can i do to improve my battery on my note 3
Should i root my note 3 or i should not root I'm not sure what's good apps for the note 3
sorry for my bad English
If you don't care about warranty,I suggest you to root. By rooting, you can remove bloatwares that always run in background. Use Titanium backup app to remove bloatwares. Turn off some smart functions which you don't use and also auto sync. Use Better Battery Status app to detect wakelocks.

Disable anything you don't use as stated earlier in the thread, smart * / Air * / - disable location services unless you really need them, will cause a constant drain. If you live in a poor signal area, switch off your data/3G - as it'll search like crazy using the radio as well will drain life. General maintaining of battery also helps a lot.

Hey guys, i have a small issue here with my apps.
Some of the apps like Tasker and Gravity Screen do not auto start on boot since i rooted my op5, i have selected them to run at boot.
My profiles on Tasker don't switch until i turn the screen on, even some of the apps like TB which i run on schedules during the night are not working.
Its like when my screen is off, all background activities stop, however WhatsApp and similar apps are working fine.
Could anyone pls guide me to a possible solution.
I know this is a strange request since mostly people ask how to stop the background activity, I'm asking the exact opposite.
Appreciate your help.

Yep, this should do it. I did face this issue for one of the Xposed modules and I turned off battery optimization for that app and it worked flawless.

Worked like a charm.
Didn't notice oos had optimisation turned on by default for all apps.
Thanks a lot.

You don't need to turn off battery optimizations for those apps. Just simply turn off OnePlus's "Advanced optimisation" feature and it should work without turning off the battery optimizations for those apps.
You can do that by going to Settings -> Battery -> Battery optimisation -> Three dot menu (⋮) -> Advanced optimisation -> Turn off.
You can also pinned these apps in recent apps section.

It's supposed to be on by default. That's how OnePlus wanted it. You need to turn it off.

I don't remember it being on or maybe i turned it off, but anyways i checked it before posting the issue here.
Keeping it off didn't make any difference for me. Guess OnePlus's basic optimisation itself is good enough.

I am not sure about this specific app, but some apps don't work correctly with Oreo yet. Try to check if it is compatible.
I personally use Betterbatterystats and haven't had issues yet.

You can turn on usb debugging but the main problem lies within Usb configuration, while you can change it to anything apart from charging and it even even show you that it's MTP of you choose it but if you go back and forth you'll see that it's still on charging. So technically it might be possible install custom rom but this will still be an issue and I am not able find anything solution , ones I checked already had root or adb access

Hmm, so it’s basically a waste now. Should throw it in the garbage and buy another generic 3GB RAM android box. Is it?
Anyways, is it happening with Airtel Xtream as well?

Yes... There is an app named "overlay shortcut" easily available. It can disable tata play binge app notifications, so u can use tata play binge box without recharge.

ok so just a few minutes ago, I found the place where the adb mode is present,
1. Go to Settings (box settings not android settings)
2. Go to System Settings
3. There press 0->3->select
4. ADB mode is now found there
(But it can't be enabled, it says 'we can't enable adb mode on this set top box)
