(Q) Install Rom On Nand Is Simple Or What !? - HD2 General

Hi .. I;ll buy An HD2 next Month But Is Installing Roms On It Simple Like My VodaFone 858 From CWm ?! Or I Need a Pc and Flash The Rom And kernel ?! i've rread All Guides But I Cant understand How To Install An Android Rom With CWm Only ! Any help Or Simplified Guide ?!

at first it's really kinda confusing but after when you do the procedure it's really not that hard.
of-course you'll need a PC to connect the phone & Flash the ROM & some other stuff.
his also trying to flash WP7 ROM via Magldr (bootloader) but you can decide either Android or WP7 or Both. It's a good phone to get specially if the price is right

Yes you install ROMs via CWM if you are running Android from NAND. The HD2 even has a TWPRecovery too. Everything flashes via recovery that is everything that is part of the Android OS. Just to answer your questions.

Oki nw its easy to install cwm and.the boot loader and flash tha radio or what ? Sry for my selly q.

Question about ROM Flashing

I was just wondering, if I want to flash another ROM while I already have a ROM being flashed (non stock) do I just flash the new ROM that I want or do I have to run HSPL3 again or what do I do?
Sorry if this has been answered already, I tried searching but I never got an answer for this specific question, but if its on here, just point me in my way and close the thread.
Thanks
Also, where can I download HaRet and ClrCad, i want to give the android thing a try.
thanks, once again.
once you flash hspl you will remain unlocked till you flash a factory rom.
IT's in the flashing guide
Android question I'm not even going to answer that. read guide to android and HD2
Alright, cool man.
And since you asked about android and HSPL in the same post, I'll just make sure you're aware that running haret (and therefore android), doesn't require HSPL'ing your HD2.
Like TM said, just get yourself lost in the new HD2 Android forum section, and the guides there will tell you everything you need to know

[Q] Using Android from MicroSD on HTC HD2

Hello. I now have an HD2 (completely stock from T Mobile) and this is my first WinMo phone. I checked out some of the Android roms, and appear to be one of the many with distorted audio problems.
After reading through threads, I am not sure how to install a HSPL, or how to flash it.
Can someone please guide me through this (I know I'm such a noob) and if anyone knows where I can find a HSPL and then where I can find the 3 kit, I'd appreciate it.
Also, if I am missing any other essential pieces to successfully install Android on my HD2, please let me know.
If it's too long to thread, please send me a private message.
Thanks!
Gabe
have you tried reading the stickies???
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6004271&postcount=1
first off fully charge your hd2
then read this thread and download HSPL3
Install HSPL3..
Go into BootLoader Mode Verify the screen shows the HSPL you installed
ok...now its time to flash Radio (be carefull..flashing wrong radio may brick your device) Make sure to only download and flash xxxx.50.xxx radios!!!
Now flash custom ROM which you like..my preffered ELEGANCIA
now dowload android rls for hd2 then follow instructions on posts.
WWW.theunlockr.com has step by step instructions how to do it. Either that or go to YouTube and people have posted instructions

[Q] Haven't been on XDA for a while :( few questions

Hey guys I got a few questions,
1. Well its been a long time since I installed an android ROM on my HD2 so I have no idea what i installed at all. Is there any way finding out ?
2. Are there any new programs/new things that should be installed on an HD2
3. Any thing else you reccomend ?
4. How can i remove everything safely from the android rom i have and the bootloader i have.
5. Are there any good Gingerbread ROMS thats well maintained and has sense or thats actually pretty popular ?
6. Any things you might think i might need to know ? Because last time i logged in XDA was like January and alot probably has changed....
From what I know:
Android ROM version: 2011/02/02 gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v1.5
Bootloader?: by cotulla AMGLDR V1.3
I forgot how to use everything etc etc . Please kindly help me
EDIT: Umm, If possible are there any good stock roms or closest to being a stock ?
Well, for number 1 for me under settings>about phone>mod version it tells me that I am using 'Cope and WarrenB's AmeriCanAndroid', but dunno about the rest. Maybe you should search the forums for gpc_hd2_gingerbread and see what results you find.
I think you can find the answers for you questions in my thread, check it out
thanks if i want to clear everything, even the bootloader how? do i just use the task 29 method where you put a stock rom on the sd card and hold the down volume while on boot ?
IMHO you don't need to do a task29. Just make sure you have the correct Clockwork partition layout for the ROM you are installing (it will be mentioned in the ROM's thread).
If you are looking out for a new ROM, I really suggest you take a look at Typhoon's ROM here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
It needs a 150M System partition and 5M cache partition.

[QUESTION] Installing ICS after WP7

Hi guys!
I searched the forum but i dont found the answer, then I would like your help!
My HD2 is running WP7Tango, and I would like to switch to the ROM NEXUS ICS, I tested the SD version and like it!!
Can anyone instruct me on what is the correct process to install Android on my phone already has WP7?
Thank you!
Wrong Forum. This should be in Q&A.
- Do task29
- install Magldr/Clk
- @Magldr -> install Cwm
- install Rom
There are enough tutorials here on xda which describe this process as precisely as possible.
If you spent at least 20 seconds on searching yourself, you would have found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905841
wrong thread..
but here you are
Flashing Your First HD2 NAND Android Rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
HD2 NAND Toolkit - Toolkit for HD2 Users
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
Actually a wiser approach would be:
Task29
Install WinMo6.5 ROM + Radio
Install CLK/MagLDR + Recovery
Flash ROM
To the OP, here you go. Plenty of answers above. Thread moved and locked.

[Q] Step by Step Process of Falashing ROM of htc hd2 "Tmous"

hi members
i m new here..
i want to upgrade my HTC HD2 Tmobile rom from win 6.5 to NexusHD2-JellyBean-4.1.2-CM10 V1.3a.
pls help me.. i want step by step process for flashing the rom. and also tell me which softwares are needed for this process..
thanks in advance....
Hello new here,
There are many guides about how to flash ROMs and stuff. Use the search tool to find those guides. You can also check the stickies, they will help you. I don't think anyone will lay out the process step by step as there are various methods and numerous ways to install ROMs. I suggest you also read the "What is HSPL, cLK MAGLDR" thread (google it) as it will help you understand the HD2 and Android on it.
Good luck.
...also be careful when flashing Radio with the "Tmous" as some can brick the phone

Click to collapse
Or alternatively since you have a TMOUS just completely skip the radio stage and never worry about it.
