Was the last update for the Elocity A7 - Build number PBJ8000.2.0134 back in April 2911?
I guess there is no chance of this tablet being updated to Android 4?
Also, could someone tell me if it is "normal" after charging the A7 for a an hour or so to turn it on and then see power indicator shows 94%? Shouldn't it show 100%, or does the turning on reduce it to 94%?
Thank you.
No, i doubt it will see android 4, not anytime soon,
right now people are trying to get 3 running properly.

What Android do I have on this Elocity? It shows firmware 2.2. Is that the Android version? If so, will they be updating that soon.
Also, can you or someone else answer the other questions I asked in my original message?
About latest Elocity version Android version?
And, the power indicator?

It's running Froyo.
I wouldn't count on too many / any updates from elocity , they are kinda lax on support for this device.
Look to Dexter's mods for an update/ improvement.
My battery goes to 100% Try to wait for it
Do you have an A7 (model 004) or an A7+ (model 040)?

According to the user guide, it takes three hours to fully charge the A7+. If you are not getting to 100%, leave it on charge longer. Important to fully charge the battery most times, or it will "learn" the usual charge cycle, and not be able to take a full charge after a while. Lithium Polymer batteries are supposed to be exempt from this, but are starting to display the same behavior of earlier Lithium Ion batteries.

Dexter is a developer who is a member of this forum. Enter Dexter Mod in the search box at the top of the page. You will find him and be able to go to his website to download mods (updated android operating systems).

Google Play is the new name for Google Market, done a couple of months ago. Apparently, you haven't been in Market because it would have automatically updated itself if you had given it permission to do so. Same with Amazon Apps if you use them.
Regular app updates are always being made in both Amazon Apps and Google Market/Google Play
I'm surprised that, since you've had the tablet and been on the forum longer than I have, some basic things are still not clear to you. I'm sure you already have downloaded the "Dexter Mod".
A lot of things I learned by just trying them out; don't be afraid that you're going to mess the tablet up! Some things are just intuitive, but a lot just involves getting used to the controls from using them regularly. Reading the manual also helps.
From your question, apparently you don't know how you find your updates:
open Market from your menu, wherever you have it; you probably have an icon on your home page
on the right side of the tablet, press the settings button (under the home button--the one that looks like a house)
a white menu will appear at the bottom of the screen. Press the one on the far left that says "My Apps"
You'll see a screen that will list the apps you have downloaded, and at the top it will show you the ones that can be updated.
one at a time, select one you want to update
on the next screen, press "update"
on the next screen, press "accept and download"
the next screen will display the updating process, and you'll get a notification at the top that it has been updated.
the new Google Play icon looks totally different from the Market one: its a colorful solid arrow on a white bag with the label "Play Store"
you can then either "open" or hit the back arrow above your home icon on the right side of the tablet and follow the same process for the next program update
or you could just hit your home button and go to the next task you want to undertake
My cable is getting more particular about the position it's in, so I have the same problem in that it won't fully charge. Make sure the orange light is on. If it's not, the cord is probably not fully plugged into the tablet and needs to be wiggled a bit. It's a pain and happens only intermittently.

Hi, once I got my HTC Hero yest, I did a software update automatically on the way home. Do I have the lastest update to my phone? I notice that I have a hard time pressing the "+ new message" for SMS, it does not do anything. Or even then I want to add a widget to the screen, I have a hard time pressing the widget icon, but no issues pressing Program, shortcuts, and folder, just the top most selection.
Same thing happens where It doesnt do anything when pressing the + icon to add a company for the HTC stocks widget
Is there a way to calabrate the screen?

The software version that was on my sons hero I just rooted was
2.32.651.7 .Android version 2.1 update 1 . He got that update done at a Sprint store but the system update option under settings should give it to ya. His ran pretty smooth.
There's 10,000 slots available instead of the Sammobile reported 7500 slots available. Once you click a few agreements, you get in automatically but then nothing happens. You have to force the update by going into Settings\Software update. The update happens normally then. The settings menu has changed quite a bit, Oreo is MUCH snappier (especially reboots), and some icons have changed. The warning in the last screenshot comes up automatically about 20 seconds after each reboot. Good luck getting in!!! :highfive:

The OTA downloads to the /cache folder which non-rooted users don't have access to. I wasn't rooted and I don't think you can be in order to join the Beta. Trust me, Sammobile would have posted it already if this was possible.

You have to be either a T-Mobile or Sprint customer or have the unlocked model. It won't appear for anyone else. It will ONLY show up in the Samsung+ app. If you don't see it on the main screen, use the 3 dot menu on the left to see if it shows up there like the screenshot I posted.

Sure, you could flash the modem if anyone could get the OTA but I'm pretty sure it'd be quite difficult. Since we're not rooted, you'd literally have to catch the OTA transmitting over your WiFi network onto your PC and then extract it. Which reminds me....
@bogdi1988 - Perhaps it's not showing up for you because you're not connected to a WiFi network. Make sure you're logged in to your Samsung account in Galaxy Apps and that all your Samsung Apps are up to date (the only way they update is when on WiFi.) Then check the Samsung+ app to see if it shows up for you. Hope this helps.

I updated hours ago and have rebooted several times since updating. I don't think I'd have a chance of finding the file name at this point. It would've been best to start a logcat right before initializing the OTA.

My "upgrade" did not go well. Turns out that package disabler pro is not playing nice with this update. I kept getting Android system has stopped and couldn't even load the main home screen. I gave up finally and hard reset and resintalled all my apps. I also had a pretty bad problem with the battery draining faster than it was charging on a wall plug. Factory reset was a pain to reinstall everything (still ongoing as I need apps, I reinstall them) but the battery issue has disappeared. Can't tell if WiFi is any better. Opinions on this release would be most welcome.

You're complaining about a third party app that disables stock apps that is NOT updated to support Oreo yet not playing nice with a Beta build??? Absurd. I'm quite sure the upgrade went as smoothly for everyone else as it did me.
As for my feedback, I haven't noticed a single hiccup with the build. It doesn't feel like a Beta. It seems like it could've been a final/official build.

So you see, I don't think my Samsung account is registered to their Beta program. I have never seen links to do so.
I guess as a small consolation, Samsung/TMo pushed a Nougat update out: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s8/SM-G955U/TMB/download/G955USQU1AQJ8/193749/

LOL, that wasn't a "complaint" that was an observation. As noted by the no complaint and an observation comment. As far as not noticing it's a beta, would that be between the 15 or so times per minute that the software pops up a warning that this is beta software and may not work as well as expected and may cause problems? That not obvious it's a beta message? Also, the bad battery drain was an issue. That shouldn't happen no matter what.

You first have to be sure the problem is the same.
Install the CPU-Z app from the Google Play Store (this is a free apps). Run the app and go un the SoC tab.
Wait some seconds for the phone to be in Idle (10-15 seconds).
If your phone has not this problem, you should have only the Core 0 running at 598Mhz.
If your phone has this problem, you shoult have Core 4 et Core 5 running at full speed (1950Mhz) => Consequences: Phone is getting warmer and you have a huge battery drain.

Yes the problem is different. It's strange that your phone become ward with a low CPU Activity. When you check in settings the battery report, you see nothing interesting about an app draining you battery?
Did this ever get resolved? I have to fix it on my mum's phone.
Hello Photographerpete,
You have the same problem that i have describe? 2 Cores of CPU allways on?
I do... well my mum does.
You can try:
Go to settings>Applications>Google Play Service.
Uninstall updates
Wait 2 minutes and check CPU activity.
Only Core 0 must be running at 597Mhz.
After that, you can re-update Google Play services, but don't reboot the phone or the problem is going to be back.
Open a ticket at HTC support. If we all open a ticket at HTC support, the patch is going to come faster.
Keep me informed.

Use BK Disabler and clear the data for Software Update. You should be able to check again. I believe you can only check once every 24 hours or so. Good Luck.

Easiest way to keep checking is to advance your phone's clock ahead one day then try again. Just remember to turn the auto clock detection setting back on.

Mine did that as well for months. My last update was when I bought the phone back in Nov. I did the update.zip method and used Smart Switch to backup all to MicroSD card.
Received this update today without needing to change the date. Running nicely so far, just wish the gif keyboard wasn't removed for us.

I have it on mine as you can see in this screenshot. When I heard the update was coming today, I factory reset before I took it. When it booted up, it updated during the setup process.
Edit: wait, are we talking about the same thing? Do you mean the feature where you can draw a gif message?

Not the live message, I have that. There is a gif option on the keyboard from other carriers. For some reason AT&T left it out.
In developers options there is the ability to change Bluetooth Audio Codec to SBC (default) to Aptx, Ldac, etc. If you change that it doesnt stick and it resets itself to SBC. Bummer.
Also the only option that does seem to seem concerning Bluetooth and Developers Options is Bluetooth AVRCP Version. AVRCP 1.4 is default but changing to AVRCP 1.6 seems to stick.
Meant to post this last night. Here's screenshots of my for full use of the OTA Oreo. I'm a teacher on spring break so I messed around with it a lot yesterday getting all my settings and apps set up.
So I decided to try the Samsung Experience 9. The badge number for Gmail isn't showing the proper numbers. Anything beyond one unread email shows some stupid huge numbers, such as 4 unread email, but the badge showed 169 ... LOL So, this is still buggy.

Yeah this is the only thing about the new update that is bugging me. The badge numbers can be way off. Other than that I am really enjoying the new update and my phone is so fast now.

Don't know what's worse... badges with wrong numbers or badges that don't come on at all. I get none at all. And I even factory reset before I took the update. I got no clue, even after spending tons of time digging through settings
Here, as usual for the "vendor" package.
For the full ROM upgrade you have to go to the proper support website.
Not for EU variant?
Thank you very much for the info an download - any news on the changelog?
here is some info:

Did you guys try it? I saw a few screenshots somewhere that there are some new AOD styles, is that true? As the ones that are available now are very bland (made them like they don't care) that would be a huge deal for me.

Hey ! I downloaded update from Indian site and my phone is global (europe). As far as I see there's much more clock styles for AOD. Screenshots in attachment.

As I see those are the same as they are present now. Is the new update Realme UI 2.0, or is that reserved for Android 11?

The linked stuff os just the firmware, the so called "vendor blob".
For the full ROM update you have to reach out Realme's support site, something like this and select "realme X2 pro".

Yeah I'm just waiting for the release on EU website as I've always done, just feel more confident that way. I'm just curious, I can't find the website again which showed the new AOD style, so you guys don't see new stuff?
is global version de eu version?
how do i know which i have.
I also receive the OTA but I can't find it on the realme support page, it still show the .32
Little question, I'm currently rooted. Can I installe the OTA via the Realme updater without issue ? (except the loss of root, but I don't care)
I've noticed an issue with the dialer. When calling someone there is no dialer tone so I don't know if it's actually ringing until the other person answers. Did anyone else notice this issue after updating to c.33?

Hello.
I've made the C33 update too but I don't have the behavior you're describing.
I tried calling multiple phone numbers I have at the office (mobile and fix) and each time I was hearing the usual tone before people pick up the line.
By my side, I have noticed another strange issue, but I don't know if it's due to the C33 update or if it's is due to something coming from my unit only.
After finishing the update process, the phone restarts normally but at the beginning I have a pop-up message asking me if I want to activate location services.
Each time I reboot my device, this pop-up message does show and I have to accept it even if the location services hasn't been switched OFF before reboot.
This pop-up message doesn't show if I make a restart instead of a reboot.
However, the more annoying thing is that the GNSS services aren't working as before whatever a restart or reboot is done.
If I use a GPS test application, I usually can see the number of sats and all the relevant details they give (NMEA messaged, etc...).
But since C33 update, I can see these information only for a minute or a few more, then they stop being refreshed and no other information are available than the position and speed.
It doesn't affect navigation, but I have some personal tracking project and these information were essential for my needs.
Can someone make a test with its X2 Pro and tell me if this issue does only concern my phone and not the C33 update?

I have exactly the same symptoms. GPS tool works after reboot for three minutes. Then all satellites are gone. See second screenshot. Navigation keeps working and is accurate. I do not have a "enable location pop-up" after each reboot.
I have X2pro 12/256 global with C33.

I do not get this message when rebooting, but I do have the same with the GPS test app (tried 2). It does give my right location also when moving around so the GPS does work correctly.
Thank you people for the quick feedback.
I don't know if it is possible to apply C32 *.ozip package after a C33 update to recheck if the behavior was also present in previous firmware release.
I tried looking for some answers about firmware version reverts, but I can only find downgrade process to go back to Android 9, and it isn't what I want to do.
I know this type of NMEA informations isn't relevant for everybody, but in my case this issue has a huge impact on a bench metrology system I'm using and using my phone as a GNSS Location tracker is a very handy solution.
It was properly working in July then I had to debug other matters before using back this function again in November.
If I was aware this update will affect my phone, I will probably not apply it...
I didn't notice any issues while using Google Maps, nor did I see any warning messages, but I've noticed the same thing using the gps test app.
