don't have any SD card adapter at home but sbasil provided me with an image zip cwm so i might get it to work.
To format system, means that you have cwm recovery, so you can still boot to recovery mode. If yes, then you can mount sdcard on pc without an adapter and copy the rom you had previously. Then you can flash the rom normally.

it doesn't matter, but you need an ext partition if you want to have app2sd.
So what should I do now ?
3.Go to "partitions menu", choose "mount USB storage" when i go there i have only unmount and go back
4.Upload rom and patches to sd-card, for example in a dir named "-install-"
5.When files are uploaded, unmount phone on your computer, click power to go back on phone
a make next step from instruction??
If you have backed up, you are ready to got for ROM Installation.
I prefer to copy the backup files on my pc to have them at 2 places.
The warning about ext partition is ok. There is no such partition on stock phones/sdcards. But ext partition is necessary if you planning to use App2sd.
But at your current point, you can ignore that warning.
Next step for you is to install the rom files+patches you copied to your sdcard.

all you have to do is, dl the rom and patches to your pc, mount your phone via usb normally and put them on your sd card. then reboot your phone into clockworkmod recovery, and do a full wipe, then go to install zip from sd card, and then flash the rom.

the most easy way ive come across to load a rom! thanks, and appreciate ur contribution to noobs like us. could u shed some light on what is clockwork mod recovery (is it the manual mode to put it in recovery with "volumne down & power button"?) and how to change the clockwork mod recovery on a htc wildfire?
WBR
ReyTech.
Maybe more Devs post easy instructions like this??
I've been flashing ever since the HD2 existed and flashed hundreds or Builds, but was a bit, well...intimidated by the process of installing a build by anything other than using the DFT method, but today I came across a Coredroid build, so i flashed it using his instructions and have to say...EVEN I did it with 100% no problem at all.
Trust me, if I can do it, then a 2yr old can do it.
Here is the thread which contains the, what I find to be the best, easiest and well laid out set of instructions for, not-so-confident flashers like me:
(bare in mind, these particular instructions, as far as i'm aware are ONLY for Coredroid build)

I was trying to install oxygen rom and it was giving me error 7, i tried many things and after formatting everything (system, data, sd card) without backup, the phone wont turn on. it boots into clockwork recovery fine. connected it with the purple screen to a linux machine and there are folders in the memory but no files. Can't even find recovery.img. Tried installing stock Rom but after the progress bar goes about 10 percent it gives an error. Custom roms still give error 7. Please help.
I'd suggest to boot in recovery (or install it if you accidentally deleted it) and wipe everything in advance (Dalvik etc) and then try to install a rom (anyone that worked for you) or some stock one.
I did that! i formated system, data, dalvik cache etc. and didn't back up the the phone before. when installing from purple screen stock rom gives an error and in recovery custom rom gives error 7 (assert failed)
Relax, your phone is not bricked, it's actually nowhere near that.
In case you lost all the data in Bootloader (pink screen), format the partition with FAT32, create a folder called "image" and copy the following files on there.
EMMCBOOT - http://www.mediafire.com/?lb6ifvgk72iru4a
AMSS.MBN - http://www.mediafire.com/?d6r45q6p5gew59v
Recovery.img - http://www.mediafire.com/?57njygc8oianjac
Boot.img - http://www.mediafire.com/?6d5i0714a7o9z97
Once you've copied those files in there, boot into CWM and flash another custom ROM. Try Miui or CM7 this time.
If you don't have any Rom zips on the SD card, no problem. Just boot into CWM (Vol+ and Power), go into Mounts section and select mount USB/SD card. This should make the SD card available on the computer and then you can copy any other Rom zip on the root of the SD card.

Does he really need boot.img to boot recovery?
Nope, not really. But just in case, I still think it's a good idea to put that in there...
Hi, it my first postage. Sorry for my english, but, I am a brazilian and my english it's not so good!
Look I have flashed this Rom on my HD2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326217
and everything going fine.
But now I have a new SD card, and I have a problem:
When I try to start phone with a new card they don't start. I try to copy all archives to new card but isn't work. They stop on the HTC screen and freezing.
I think the NAND room don't need SD Card to work, I try to star without card and the problem is the same.

My friend, i advise you to start all over again from Zero
1- Format your SD card with Gparted . or using right click on SD partition .
2- Task29
3- Install MAGLDR
4- USB flusher and run DAF.exe to repartition your rom
5- go to AD Recovery > Advanced > Partition SD card > Select 1024 > Select Swap 256 > Flash your rom > Enjoy ( ihope so )
Remember the installation progress may tak up to 20 MIN so be patient >
Good luck
My recommendation would be to do a clean install.
- Format the new SD-card (fat32)
- Go into CWM
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe cache partition
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Install rom with new SD-card in slot.
Hope I could be of help.
did you partition the first sdcard? If you did I think the other card wont work because it has to be repartitioned to the same size as the other sdcard??? Like when you use swap
Thank you guys!!!
Look if I make a clean install I lost everything I have in this phone Ok?! Or I have choices for don't lost the applications and customization's???

thats right.
a solution could be:
get old sd card into phone and fire it up
when boot is finish check if everything is working
reboot into MAGDLR whith holding down the power button while phone starts
get use of entry name USB mass storage
start any partition tool you like and have a look if and how your old sd card is partitionated
press power button to get back to the MAGDLR menu
start AD Recovery to get into CWM
make a backup of your rom
copy the backup via mount usb storage to your pc
get the new sd card to your phone
get into MAGDLR menu and the start CWM
choose partition sd card and get the same ext partition size than on old sd card (new sd card will be formated and empty after this step)
copy the backup to your phone via mount usb storage(perhaps you have to build up some folders on your sd card to get CWM find the backup)
restore backup
do a fix permissions
reboot phone
its just a suggestion and not proved by me and never made this way.

Look, if I make this, my new card is going to have 1GB, because of the my old card has partitioned with 1GB!!
hmm but i suggest that the Backup of the ext Partition can only be restored when the new Partition got the same size.
Perhaps you can try to get a software to copy data from old card, check size of data and than get the New one partitioned to smallest size and copy back the data.
Send from my HD2 via xda app

LEO is still the king!
Thanks a lot, securecrt and Xylograph!
I What is "NativeSD"
As the name shows, the SD card now do what native storage do. In other words, we can leave the nand and done almost everthing with one SD card!
II Benifits of NativeSD
1. Common benifits
Don't need to worry about bad blocks in nand, no need to adjust system size。
2. On premise of large storage of SD card
The partition used as native storage can be very large duo to your SD card(<32GB).
Muilt ROMs(wm,wp,androids)
3. On premise of fast SD card
Faster Read/Write speed than NAND ROMs,better。
III Install ROM
1. Prepare
*1)Android rom that support NativeSD, cellphone(LEO,with SD card, battery>50%), computer,cable,4EXT recovery
*2)Backup all your data on SD card(if you want to keep it).
2.magldr users
1)This is the case that you download the SD version of 4EXT recovery.
copy the unziped files to you fold "a" in your SD card.("a" is just a sign, can be any name, just make sure the folder is in the root directory of SD card)Notice: please make sure these files are in the root directory of "a",not any sub folder:clcad.exe,haret.exe,initrd.gz,startup.txt,zImage
2)This is the case that you download and already install the nand version of 4EXT recovery.

Thank you very much!!
Can't boot
I made EXT4 partition, and instaled Magldr, and than instaled WM ROM, and copied EXT4SD recovery (first one on list), extract, and use folder '4EXTRecovery' and paste to SD card root, and now, what to do(?) how to get in recovery mod, or, how to get to Magldr menu? Please help
NativeSD without flashing MAGLDR or cLK?
my background:
I use Android ICS and MIUI on Leo HTC HD2, booting from SD-Card using haret.exe in WM6.5.
I can't flash my device with MAGLDR or cLK, because it's leased and I have to return it back in some time with the original WM6.5.
Now my question:
Can I use native SD instead of "standart SD", because I hope it's faster, wihthout flashing any custom boot loader and destroing the original OS?
If I got it right, flashing a MAGLDR or cLK erases the complete device (except of HSPL and radio), right?
The only thing I dared to do before, was to flash the HSPL and a Radio Update, because this didn't touched the WM6.5.
I came so far to create a EXT4 and a FAT32 partitions on my SD-Card (32MB, Class 10) with "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition 7.6". Then I downloaded the 4EXT Recovery and booted it from WM6.5 with haret.exe, but now I'm stucked.
All I got is, the 4EXT Recovery do the same job as this MiniTool. It makes partitions on my SD-Card.
I planed to install NexusHD2-JellyBean-4.1.2-CM10 V1.1 ROM as NativeSD, but I'm afraid I can't do this without flashing the MAGLDR or cLK and erasing the WM6.5
Any help?
thanks for the guide

OK, I helped myself. Thanks!
Partitioned the SD-Card with 4EXT-Recovery again. Created 2 EXT4 partitions 2 GB each, the rest (25 GB) goes for the FAT32 partition.
Then installed the "NexusHD2-JellyBean-4.1.2-CM10 V1.1 ROM".ZIP (was an AROMA installer) from FAT32 partition and it worked!
Altough it's all very slow and the second EXT4 partition is unused. don't know why the recovery aked my to create one.

I'm REALLY new here so this might be a naive question but does that mean we'll be able to run WM 6.5 and WP 7 in a dual boot configuration now? From what I've heard they can only be installed on the HD2's NAND leaving room for either or, but since you say that NativeSD can do whatever the native storage does I thought it might be possible to run them direct off the SD?
Thank you for this guide.
