I did a search and only found some posts where this is mentioned in passing, but didn't find any threads specifically devoted to this. I just thought I'd give a heads up to U.S. buyers looking to buy the International version of the note -- Since it has an international warranty, it's not valid in the U.S., but Expansys USA will handle warranty claims for you should you need it. And they've got pretty decent prices as well. It's a little cheaper on Amazon or eBay, but you've got the comfort of a warranty. I personally have never had any issues with any tech that I've had, but when you're spending ~$600 on a product, it's nice to have that reassurance.
Thanks. Didn't know that.

Hello guys Im new to this Touch HD forum and I want one BAD...I found one Cheap from a company in China & I would like to know has anybody else bought one from China? Its unlocked and they said it will work with T-Mobile.
The best price I have heard on Touch HD is around $720 + Shipping to the US from resellers in UK. Nothing from China... if I were you, I will not throw away my money from a seller in a country where it is not released yet, and has a cheaper price.
Again, just my thought... Its your money and your deal.
I live in China. Tell me the name of the company and give a link and I'll check it out. My first impression though is no way. THe touch hd is not officially released here yet so the only way to legally get them is to have them shipped from Hong Kong and they are expensive ($800 US), so I doubt that some company in China would be getting them from abroad and then shipping them to you cheaper than someone like handtec who is getting them directly from HTC in Europe....
1. Like everything in life, if it's too good to be true, it usually is. If this chinese company is indeed reputable, then go ahead. But be warned with the risks involved in importing goods, you have to be prepared to assume all risks and liabilities (warranty, shipping problems, fraud, etc). From my view as of Dec 8, 2008, HTC Touch HD is still pre-order only in many shops and sells for about $800 to $900 due to high demand.
2. Unlocked GSM phones will work with any GSM carriers, that's the nature of being 'unlocked'. However, the downside is that they're usually not subsidized by the GSM carrier and thus more expensive. A trade off between flexibility and cost. For me, the flexibility of being able to use any GSM card when I travel abroad outweighs the cost.

define cheap? before shipping, mine was approximately $670.00 US from Clove Technology. even at today's exchange rate (around 1.50 dollars for each GBP), $700 from a reputable reseller is the best price you'll get. i've seen US retailers selling for as much as $840 and that doesn't include shipping!
Ok update ...Ive now Got a contact in the USA that I can get the phones from Cheap, and when I say cheap I mean under 400.00 shipped to your door.Im registered to get them wholesale...this is where Ebayers probably get them from to re-sell for a big profit .Im gonna be joining you guys soon I hope
Anyone recommend a reputable online dealer that has the SGS 2 and at a competitive price?
Amazon and Newegg both have it around $575...
Anywhere else that is as reputable?
I got mine from expansys usa the first week they were out in UK and available in the US, you can save a few bucks and they are reputable in my book (this is my only transaction with them but you can read on your own)
a lot of us that bought the international SGS2, got it from Expansys-USA.com. worth a look.
If you buy the phone in the U.S. (from anyone, regardless of what they claim) it'll have no warranty as Samsung considers any product purchased outside its country of intended sale "grey market." Expansys-USA gets around that by sending the phone back to the UK for their U.S. customers should it need repair under warranty. You can also buy from Clove and Hantec in the UK as both ship to the U.S. It's $612 delivered from Clove right now and since it's purchased in the UK it retains the 2-year global warranty.
If not worried about warranty, then Amazon is pretty good. Also you can look at mobilecityonline.com from where I bought the white sgs2. You will get the new white sgs2 for $539 after $20 off coupon.

Expansys, my first order with them, but very happy with the transaction. Will use them for Galaxy Note.
Does mobilecityonline.com honor the warranty for an SGS II?
Or, is it only Clove and Expansys only?
I got mine from Expansys USA on June. Pretty quick delivery and no complaint about them.
I got my Sony X1 from Clove UK long time ago. Very good service and fast delivery too.
My friend brought one from Amazon recently but found it's being used (stated as new). So beware on for Amazon seller.
Great options mentioned so far. OP, if you are ok buying the locked AT&T version, it is $550 before taxes without contracts. This phone would probably be better "tuned" for the network, and would come with warranty.
P.S. sorry if my suggestion is too obvious

No. Technically, the phone bought at Expansys-USA doesn't qualify either. They get around that by shipping it to their branch in the UK should it ever need repair. If they go out of business (unlikely) your warranty would go with them as they're acting as an itermediary. The only way to get an "official" warranty is to buy the product from an authorized reseller in its intended country of sale.
Do not know if it is legit, but speak out if you know.
Unlocked Note with a car kit for $455.

Unlocked Note $520

That's going to greatly diminish the value of the international notes if that's true.
The first one looks fake... they even mention you're actually buying it from Expansys.
I don't trust no-name sites like these, as they OFTEN mis-represent the items as new when they're refurbs or open boxes..
I just found this today: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-NEW-S...20975390290?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item1c2ab1f652
Brand new 32gb 3g Note 10.1 for $629.95, which is a lot cheaper than any 16gb 3g I have seen. What do you guys think? Suspicious? This guy does have over 1.5k feedback

Ive looked everywhere for one with no luck, so it seems odd a person on ebay would be the first to have and sell one. Definitely ask for more details and aome evidwnce before proceeding.
I would be careful he might just have cut and pasted the spec, this might be wifi only, i would send him a message.
John.
Remember too it won't have any warranty. Samsung doesn't provide any type of warranty support for products sold outside their intended country/region of sale. If you buy it on eBay you can get a SquareTrade warranty for it. You'll still have to pay roundtrip shipping to whatever country the Note you purchase is actually from should it need repair. They won't repair it in the U.S. even at your expense. If you buy a U.S. Note in the U.S from a non-authorized reseller they won't cover that either.
If you buy from Negri or Expansys-USA they'll provide warranty support during the two-year manufacturer's warranty by sending it to one of their overseas affiliates on your behalf. Buying from Clove or Handtec also protects the warranty because you'd be purchasing from a dealer authorized to sell in the country your Note was purchased in.
Samsung's very strict at enforcing their warranty terms and this has been tested time-and-time again.

The model number is 8013 which is WiFi only. The auction title does not mention 3G. The 3G is only in the specifications provided by eBay, which is often wrong. I think this is WiFi only, and a high price for that.
figured it was too good to be true :crying:

I ordered the I9500 from Negri Electronics. Waiting for shipping. What do you want to know?
Just wanted to know that what is the best place to get them and are they really shipping I9500's rather than unlocked I9505's. I looked up Amazon and Ebay. But the comments on the amazon one's are putting me off. And eBay.. somehow i just don't want to trust for something that worth $800.
Also needed to know a little about the warranty on this. The I9500 would come with a 1 year warranty by default, right?

Yes. Europe doesn't offer I9500, so the only way is to import from USA or other county. And yes, the warranty will be US 1 year warranty
I am willing to pay a little more up front because in the long run, it would be cheaper for me. I checked contract phones, and they are coming up to $120 a month for AT&T (unlimited talk/text + 3GB LTE). I can easily wrap it up in the in $60 by sticking with my AT&T prepaid. Plus i am not speed freak when it comes to internet. Most of the time am at home with Wi-Fi.
My only concern is warranty. Where do i get my issues fixed when i have an international version. I hope Samsung USA would be willing to take it in!
I got mine from Expansys which I can confirm is the 9500. Used them before a few times without any issues and returned a DOA to them a couple years ago without drama which was exchanged for another (same) unit. I'm not too worried about the warranty as a year is all I need and my credit card doubles it anyways. I have never had to use that warranty however so I cant claim to know how it plays out in that regard. I'm pretty sure its not going to be as easy as walking into a local carrier store and dropping the old broken phone on the counter and leaving with a new one.
I brought mine from ebay for 699 USD and posted out to Spain. LIke other buyers here from Europe the local version is the i9505. But the I9500 in my eyes was worth it. (Slightly faster and better battery) HSDPA 42.2 Mbps is fine for me and I dont have LTE where I live.
No issues, well apart from a spec of dust under the screen! I'm just going to put up with it I think, but have contacted Samsung Spain to see if anything can be done. No doubt they will tell me to deal with Samsung USA.
Well the price of Negri electronics are a little more reasonable, than cellhut.com and expansys.com.
