Here I was looking for one for myself, and found this one pretty cheap - sadly will not work in my region, so thought will share -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-Sensati...0670613262?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item2eb8e68f0e
Bid start pretty low for ones looking for unlocked contract free sensation.
Again, I don't know the seller - so no responsibilities from me or anyone at XDA staff. But seller has feedback, should be legit.
someone is going to cry about ebay links, not that bad of a price though
I assume this had a buy it now price before? At the moment its an auction at 330 with 2 days left...
auction listing as offer are bogus, you never know when the price will go up the sky.
Yes, did have a buy it now of 300.
only stupid ****s bid over 300$ ****ing hate ebay noobs
I'm having a lot of trouble locating one of these. It's currently out for AT&T correct?
Not on newegg or amazon.
For those of you using this as a phone as well.. could you give me feedback on how you like it? Do you use a bluetooth headset? If so, what brand/model?
Please take some time to read previous threads on this.
after doing a bit more research heres what i've found (cant post links bc im a new user):
ebay - 629.00 - 7 day return policy - 1 year seller warranty.
amazon - 659.99 - no warranty
not on any major sites (other than amazon) such as newegg and crutchfield, or bestbuy.
the ebay deal > amazon (obviously).
surprised its not sold by these major retailers... what gives?
also, its factory "unlocked" meaning it isnt carrier specific?

Negri - ~$580 with shipping
https://negrielectronics.com/samsun...gb-wifi-only-black-open-box.html#.T2n_38US1Ng
Craigslist
That's where I got mine at a ridiculously low price. $400 with a 2 yr square trade warranty. It was purchased from Negri.
I've seen other listings on Craiglist as well for lower than that Negri price.
OK.... IF you have AT&T already (smart phone with data), then you can get the International version of the tab. (6800)
AT&T and T-Mobile currently DOES NOT offer therse in there product line..
BUT They do work on those carriers..
.And the phone parts works too as well as internet, txt and mms messaging.
Verizon DOES carry them, but there is no phone capabilities built in . So no phone, txt or mms with Verizon
Here's a thread on where to buy in the USA.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468325
The Negri link that maverick 777 posted is for the WI-FI version only..
That device WILL NOT give you phone, txt or mms capabilities.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525108
If you want the phone etc with using your existing sim card from your smart phone with data plan with AT&T or T-mobile...
Then you need to get the international version with quad band etc
So I just remove my AT&T sim card out of my smart phone and jam it in my 6800 tab and BAM!!! Now I have a 7.7 inch screem smart phone!!
As far as using it for a phone.. it's cool IMHO, but you'll read where others distain the look and feel of a 7.7 inch phone..
I get along with it just fine...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459696
.good luck with your decision

i just read that negri isnt reliable. can someone who bought from there give insight?
edit: After reading the links, Negri is obviously reliable. There still wasn't a definite answer about the 'white' back and the 'silver/black' back. Any insight?
I'd say call Negri directly... may as well start at the source..
They're 800 number is in the web page..
I got mine there.. still waiting on the USA adapter for the charger though they promised it was in the mail twice now.
They should be able to tell you if they have any white ones..
Good luck
.
I believe that Negri lists white and silver models separately on their site (and they have different price). So you can order the one you want. When I was ordering, the white ones were back-ordered.
I bought my GT 7.7 (and a Nokia N9) from Negri and was very satisfied with both orders.
Negri Most Reliable
I bought both my Note and 7.7 from Negri. They seemed to have inventory before most, and always comfortable to buy a product from a Company in the U.S. (Las Vegas) They shipped same day and delivery exactly when they said. I will buy my Note 10.1 from Negri when available. Both units previously purchased were international, which is best if you want to spend the extra money.
My experiences allow me to highly recommend Negri as your source vendor.
Negri has the 6810 for only $498.50. Sucks I just paid $572.50 less than a month ago!
I did a search and only found some posts where this is mentioned in passing, but didn't find any threads specifically devoted to this. I just thought I'd give a heads up to U.S. buyers looking to buy the International version of the note -- Since it has an international warranty, it's not valid in the U.S., but Expansys USA will handle warranty claims for you should you need it. And they've got pretty decent prices as well. It's a little cheaper on Amazon or eBay, but you've got the comfort of a warranty. I personally have never had any issues with any tech that I've had, but when you're spending ~$600 on a product, it's nice to have that reassurance.
Thanks. Didn't know that.

Sorry, not officially sold in US, so you'll have to rely rely on 3rd party importers and will be more expensive unless you know someobe in Europe or Asia that can ship you one.

^This.
Negri Electronics' price is the least expensive that I've found for the 3G version from a U.S. importer...currently at $597.50. But they do have excellent customer service and are a reputable seller. I've ordered "International" items from them several times. GSM Nation and Expansys USA are good as well, but usually more expensive.
Just a heads up to those of you in the U.S. that are waiting for the Int'l 3G/Phone version...It looks as if my preordered Int'l Note 8.0 3G+WiFi (N5100) should be shipped very soon from Negri Electronics (Las Vegas) here in the U.S. FYI, Negri Electronics is showing these as "IN STOCK" at the moment. Your browser user agent must be in "Desktop View/Mode" to see the full details of stock availability. EDIT: they are now listed as "BACKORDER".
http://negrielectronics.com/samsung-n5100-galaxy-note-8-0-16gb-3g-unlocked-white.html
My credit card company sends me email alerts every time there is a transaction over $300, and they just sent me a Transaction Alert for a charge from N.E. I've had a preorder in for the Int'l Note 8.0 since April 16th, and IME Negri Electronics will only charge your credit card when they have stock in hand ready to ship, so my fingers are crossed. I'll keep you updated.
P.S. If you register an account at Negri and put the item in your shopping cart but do not follow through with the purchase (just leave it in your "shopping Cart"), in a few days Negri will email you with a $10 OFF coupon code for the item in your cart. And if you wait another few days they will send you a $20 off coupon code. It's not much, but every little bit helps as this item is so expensive already. Good luck.
I did wanted one of these for everyday devices but it's way too expensive for me. There's nothing wrong with my skyrocket I have now but I want upgrade. And my wife wants my phone so I guess I'll have to look else elsewhere.
Perhaps in a month or two the price could drop to within my reach?
One can only hope.....

Yeah, it is expensive. No doubt. But if you compare it with the price of a contract-free Unlocked Int'l Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 (which it is almost identical to hardware-wise except for the display, rear camera+LED Flash, and FM Tuner) it is a very similar price, at least here in the U.S.
I paid 608.00 on Ebay from a US seller with 1000+ feedback.
Picked up GeekSquad Spill and Drop insurance for another 50-something bucks.

I don't know how well it's going to receive around the world. This device isn't most powerful or innovative phablet that has yet to come out from Samsung but it is rumored to be more expensive then Apple mini. I don't care if it doesn't have Octa core or 3gb of ram but I am still over the fence about Samsung thinks because it has a S pen it can crush Apple and it's iSheeps without being most powerful and priced lower then mini. Don't get me wrong I love Samsung and I stand by I will only buy Samsung phones since I went thought several HTC(UGH) and Motorola(UGH) and Apple(double UGH) but I think Samsung is being just too ambitious this time. We will see how everything goes with in few months. If this succeed and still priced high, I will go to cheaper option and buy P3100 and wait for something reasonable from Samsung.

Performance-wise, there is not a single problem with the Galaxy Note 8.0, unless you want it solely for playing the most demanding games, which the iPad Mini isn't ideal for either, so? And in some markets such as India, the 3G+WiFi Note 8.0 is only $20 USD more than the iPad Mini 3G+WiFi. For that $20 you get the S-Pen/Wacom Digitizer, PHONE & TEXT capability, and the TV/DVR/STEREO Remote Control IR Blaster! I'd say that is pretty compelling.
My other thoughts regarding the competition?...If Samsung would have made the BUILD QUALITY of the Note 8.0 similar to the HTC ONE or iPad Mini, then I think they would have a chance at being a true competitor in the general public's eyes.
And why not put the "old" 8MP Camera from the S3 in it to sweeten the deal? And please don't tell me that a good camera is useless in a tablet. When you need it, you need it! I can't tell you how many soccer moms and dads I've seen using their iPads to capture photos and videos of their kids between browsing the web or "Facebook'ing" during the game. Or taking photos of products, clothes, or comparison shopping by scanning barcodes and QR codes...or "scanning" business or personal receipts into financial apps.
I also think that they should really advertise and push the IR Blaster/Remote Control feature of this device! Just about everyone that can afford a tablet has an HDTV and cable/satellite service. Having the IR Blaster/WatchOn/Peel functionality, combined with the S-Pen features, true Multi-Window multitasking, and cellular Phone/Texting capability make this tablet/phablet truly unique in the marketplace.
BUT, they need interactive or video displays in the stores like Best Buy that demonstrate these unique features with a "Try that with an iPad...they can't do it" type of message. Everybody already knows what an iPad can do. But when comparing tablets in hand, customers just see a screen with a bunch of icons, they don't know the awesome things that ONLY the Note 8.0 can do!
They also need to advertise as above (like in the new S4 "swimming pool" commercial) how older folks and children can use this device, in addition to the unique advantages it gives a business person. And they need to give developers much more incentive to create unique and top notch tablet-specific apps, with and without S-pen functionality. And they also need to stop trying to copy or duplicate the Google apps that are already available and better! They need to realize that their tablets are nothing without the Google ecosystem.
/END OF ANOTHER RANT, LOL! Sorry.

You have the option of third party suppliers. The other option is to wait a little longer. The LTE version is close to being released. There is a video on You Tube showing it but it's in Chinese and I can't understand it. I will say it looks good though. I'm waiting to see what frequencies the 4G version will come with as well.
I'm pretty sure the only LTE version announced is one that does not use US LTE bands and still would only give HSPA speeds to most people.
^You are most likely correct. I would be surprised if this model had LTE bands that are usable in the U.S. Perhaps if the proper antennas and radio amps are already in the hardware, a crafty developer could port the radio software from the AT&T Galaxy Note II?
UPDATE on my purchase from Negri Electronics:
I received an email from Negri Electronics today with a FedEx Tracking Number for the Galaxy Note 8.0 3G+WiFi (GT-N5100).
However, it is being shipped directly from Hong Kong and not from the N.E. location in Las Vegas, so it will take a few more days to get here than I originally expected (Los Angeles area).
Other devices that I have purchased from them have shipped from the L.V. location so I didn't expect this when I placed my preorder. If I had known ahead of time, I might have ordered one from eBay seller 'never-msrp' in Houston, TX.
Either way I'm looking forward to getting it. I just wanted to let anyone else who has preordered from Negri, or is thinking about it, know what's up.

I've been searching like crazy trying to see if anyone's been able to do this with the Note 8 or 10.1, but I can't seem to find anyone that's been able to do it. I know there's a way to enable T-Mobile's AWS bands for a rooted AT&T N2, but as far as enabling any LTE or AWS bands on a N8 or N10.1 (non-Verizon), I haven't had any luck. I'm not sure they're even the same radios

Gee, I wonder why sales are below expected in the US? Could it be Best Buy's epic failure at promoting the product? The people at BB should be running the NSA; they're better at keeping secrets.
Maybe LG should just rename it the Area 51 Pad...lots of people have heard of it but BB continues to deny it's existence.
No kidding! The Best Buy help weren't aware of it and took forever to find it in "the cage".
LG has officially jumped the shark.
I don't know who is to blame LG or Best Buy or both but it does make you scratch you head in wonder how they plan to sell this tablet based on current marketing an store display. Why give Best Buy an exclusive if they don't plan to display it and sell it? They need to get this in more stores out on display. They also need to drop 30-50 off the price here in the states if they want it to sell it needs to be cheaper than the first iPad mini and the Samsung Tab 3 8 regardless of the specs and it being a better product most Americans don't know specs they know brand name and price.
Ya, BB has this thing in their phone department next to the G2. Like what?
They need this over with the other tablets, let alone the other 8" tablets. Luckily I knew where to look so i can get a hands on before deciding on a purchase online
The two BB near me do not even have it out in the phone area they have a picture of it in the G2 display but not the actual device.
It does feel like that what is otherwise a fantastic tablet will again fail to sell properly. Just like the Samsung 7.7 did in its time. You have to wonder...
BB has no interest in promoting specific products. If the G Pad fails, it makes no difference to them. They are just as happy selling an iPad or a Samsung Note. LG is the one who loses when this product is a flop. It's up to LG to make sure that retailers sell the product. If they made the product attractive to BB, then BB would sell it. The real problem is that LG has not advertised the product, they've priced it too high, and they haven't provided the right incentives to retailers.
A retailer isn't going to give shelf space or attention to a product that is as poorly marketed as the G Pad. If a lot of people were coming into the store asking for it, BB would pay more attention. It's LG who's keeping the product a secret. BB is just following their lead.
And why are BB and Newegg the only authorized dealers?? Why isn't Amazon, Target, Costco, Sam's Club and Walmart selling this? Where are the magazine and TV ads? The billboards? The point of sale kiosks, etc? LG seems to have no serious interest in this product. Any product that was as poorly marketed as this one would fail in the market.
At least my local Best Buy has a white one up for display *in the phone section* away from all the other tablets and readers.

I got mine on release date. They didn't have any on display and only one left in stock (other than the one that the guy tried to sell me the display unit and then noticed the computer said it was $1000 for it).
I visited my local Best Buy last night and they still don't have it on display (in tablet or phone area) or in stock. I really don't understand why LG has dropped the ball on this but it seems to be in line with about every other mobile company minus Apple and Samsung. Every display other than the Apple and Samsung displays looked cheap and run down. The Nexus 7 display looked fine, but they have a demo running on all of their models so you can't even get a real feel for how it works. If LG would put a nice display in the tablet area, these things would sell fast. I just hope enough sell to have a decent development community.
LG must not. want to be successful. they had it on display only at. best buy with the mobile phones. No advertising, ovepriced and lackluster support.
Whose poor ideas were this? only. 1 retailer in the US?

Apparently, US sucks *JOKE*
Here in Europe you can get your G Pad in 95% of all the electronics shops. Its really strange what's going on in the US...
I don't know how well the tablet is selling worldwide but at the biggest electronics store here in Zurich, I think it's doing quite well with the Black version sold out and only a few white versions left. Of course, this could be due to low stock to begin with, I'm not sure. I really hope it does well because I just got mine and it's probably one of the best electronic gadgets I have ever bought.
I'm no stranger to Android (although I haven't spent a great deal of time on the latest hardware such as the HTC One, G2 or Galaxy S4) but I was always a little disappointed by the promise of "buttery smooth performance" from the Jellybean. I have a One X and also another tablet from Pipo running the RK3188 so it's no slouch but both are not what I would call a smooth experience (although my One X became a heck of a lot better after flashing Cyanogenmod). I originally came from iPhones and iPads so I was very disappointed in this regard.
Now with the G Pad, I finally know what "buttery smooth" feels like on an Android. The machine is just incredible with next to no interface lag at all and all the apps zip around without any effort. The Wi-Fi strength is also incredible, picking up my router from distances that my One X, iPad mini or iPhone 4S could never have.
For the sake of LG, I hope it really does well. They deserve it and will hopefully release more products like this in the future.

As you pointed out low stock could mean heavy selling or it could mean low stock. Considering the way it started off in the US, i.e., few retailers and high prices, I'm inclined to think that LG does not have a lot of capacity to manufacture the units. Currently, we're seeing more discounting in the US and few more options for retailers, but it is still not widely sold. Could be that the situation will get better as they produce more units.
Awesome tablet but I just returned mine to BestBuy. I've been burnt before buy buying a killer device that no one else bought. Software updates don't come and accessories don't fit. Very sad that LG made this ridiculous exclusive distribution deal.

I played with one at best buy in southern il today it was next to the lg g2. I think I'll love this thing it's the perfect size and seems fast. I figure I'll keep for at least a year maybe longer if no one comes out with a better 8 inch tab. Samsung's note screen sucks I also looked at it today.

Well Said Woody.
Fast forward to the present and it's still the same.. BestBuy could care less about this Tablet.. a lot of sales reps still don't know about it and it's still to this day not on display..
And that's sad.
I have posted similar thoughts about lack of promotion and availability for this tablet in other forums. It's very strange to have such a product available only at one B&M retailer (BB), and one online store (Newegg), and as a GPE version. With that approach you would think LG would have dumped a bunch of money into promoting the G Pad at BB. I've seen enough complaints in the reviews at Newegg (and elsewhere for units purchased from Newegg) to think they were chosen to handle the returns, refurbished units, and otherwise 'unclean' units.
Having said that, our BB started displaying a black version and a white version G Pad a couple of weeks ago. Last week they price matched Newegg's $280 for the black version for me when they were selling theirs for $350. The sales rep I got knew all about the G Pad and started trying to sell me on it but I already knew everything I needed to know.
Now VerizonWireless has started to sell it as well, with LTE. That could be a breakthrough for this tablet, especially with the pricing model they have ($100 with a 2 year contract through tomorrow, $149 after that, and $300 with no contract). Those prices are pretty enticing, I think, especially compared to BB's $350 everyday price for the WiFi only model. It will be interesting to see what happens with this tablet now that VW is in the picture.
Another thought. I've wondered, especially since the GPE came out, if maybe the G Pad is a trial run for a Nexus 8 replacement for the Nexus 7 and maybe a new Nexus 10 as well that a lot of folks are waiting for. Google got a lot of heat for the issues many folks had with the Gen2 Nexus 7 built by ASUS. Maybe they are testing the waters with LG for their next generation Nexus tablets and they and LG aren't necessarily concerned about how much money they make from this one. Just a thought.
