start bar

im looking for an application to change the color of the start bar to black. if possible to change it to a vista start icon as well. ive seen a program that will allow me to change the color but its always a flat black and dosnt have any 3d effect like the normal start bar does...any advice?

I'd try Wisbar advance... (A quick search will find it)...
It's not free, but it is a good program, and works well!

transparent task par and start menu bar

Could any body get me an application or theme to make my taskbar and start menu bar transparent

I know of a app that will hide the taskbar and bottom bar but when you say transparent you mean invisible??

not possible in WM6 & 6.1
you could try WAD 3, but you'll have to pay for it, and it'll drain your battery faster...

Wisbar Advance can do it (in a way). Use a part of your wallpaper as your taskbar. Not transparant, but perfectly blending with your wallpaper.

Transparent curtains in all tabs (TF3D)?

I've tried searching the entire forum and just this section without and success specific to TF3D. I'm looking for a fix to make the bottom slider curtain transparent in all tabs. Right now it's only transparent on the main screen (clock/weather). If there's a fix that includes the top curtain too that would be great. TIA all.

If you want the top curtain transparent use the Manila 2.1 option. The other one made the top bar white for me. Backup your current settings in the app before using it in case you mess something up you didn't want to!

Thanks. Does this fix require installation of the whole tweaking program or do you know if there's a separate cab for just the transparent slider curtain?

Basically you install the program, run it, go to the Utility tab and perform a backup. (Takes a little while) Then on the Customize tab you can apply changes to the top and/or bottom curtains. For full transparent on both, just select Bottom Curtain then highlight Full Transparent and then hit Deploy. Do the same for Top Curtain except I had to use TF3D v2.1 Full Transparent instead of the regular one. Soft reset after and it works perfectly.

No Transparant top and bottom bar :(

At the moment I have this rom on my htc touch pro2:
Fusion v6.0 with HTC Sense 2.1. (wm 6.5)
Now I used a wallpapercab to make the background look like the hero.
And now I would like to know if it is possible to change the top and bottom bar from black to transparant.
Hope someone could help me out

Would be nice, an dit must be possible
Just need to find the images for the brs & the buttons and replaced them by some transparent ones (It may need to be cooked with the ROM, but maybe replacing using Total Commander is enough)
Or if we're lucky the transparency can be set in the registry (I dont know...)

Oke I installed the cab and restarted the device but I can't select it in the today settings. Because it's not there.

I have got HTC HD with WM 6.5 CE 5.2.23052, how to change bars (those bars where are battery, clock [on up] and windows icon, lock icon [on bottom]). Any application for it?

Hi there,
first of all, make sure that you install sdkcert.cab, it can be found here in the downloads section at the bottom of post #2. Then simply install the relevant cab file to your device and it should change your taskbar icons.

This app changed only icons.
And whats more I cannot access my menu after installing this app. [Icon with windows logo disappeared]

Ahh i think I now understand what you meant.
If you are wanting to change the appearance of both the Top Taskbar and Bottom Soft Keybar, this is how I did it:
I currently use Max TF3D Theme Maker v4.1 to customise the appearance of my Home Screen and other screens (even where both the Taskbar and Soft Keybar reside to make them Transparent).
You can download and install the cab (install it to your sd card) for it here.
You first need to set a Background wallpaper first as it will not work properly with just the default background, normally you actually need to set a new background first.
Now, to set the Task bar and Soft KeyBar to transparent using Max TTM, open up Max TTM, go to the WM6.5 tab and under the Component Heading, make sure it is set as Both. Then only select the two bottom checkboxes (Enable Standard Deployment and Soft Reset after Convert), then click the Convert button to enforce the changes.
