I've tried searching the entire forum and just this section without and success specific to TF3D. I'm looking for a fix to make the bottom slider curtain transparent in all tabs. Right now it's only transparent on the main screen (clock/weather). If there's a fix that includes the top curtain too that would be great. TIA all.
This app worked great for me.

If you want the top curtain transparent use the Manila 2.1 option. The other one made the top bar white for me. Backup your current settings in the app before using it in case you mess something up you didn't want to!
Thanks. Does this fix require installation of the whole tweaking program or do you know if there's a separate cab for just the transparent slider curtain?
Basically you install the program, run it, go to the Utility tab and perform a backup. (Takes a little while) Then on the Customize tab you can apply changes to the top and/or bottom curtains. For full transparent on both, just select Bottom Curtain then highlight Full Transparent and then hit Deploy. Do the same for Top Curtain except I had to use TF3D v2.1 Full Transparent instead of the regular one. Soft reset after and it works perfectly.

Hi:
I have a Cingular 8125 and I am trying to get more screen real estate. I recently saw a reg edit where you could remove the taskbar icons for the battery and wireless manager, however those registries don't seem to be available on my phone. Anyone know any secrets to get this done??
Also, I am trying for an all black background and in my theme generator, the bottom and top bars are black, but when I install them to my phone, they are grey. I am using theme generator 2.0 and TKCreator, but both don't work for me.
Thanks. Dan

Remove the init_tray from your start up folder - \windows\startup\
You may have to soft reset afterwards.
there's
idcnobar
that removes the bottom bar (which indicate what the left and right softkeys are used for)
it complete removes it, but the icons dont shift down till you slide your keyboard out and back.
The Comm Manager icon is still there.
I did remove the listed shortcuts from Startup and the conn manager icon still insists on being in the tray.
Hi,
Top Bar is the essential on today screen cuz it show many notifications, time etc. So what i was thinking is that somebody make a program to transparent the whole top Bar or atleast it can change with the full screen wallpaper. It means the whole today can go with the wallpaper.
Hoping to see programmer put a hand in making it.
Thanks
And also a program for resizing the top bar would be cool.
nobody wants to even try...
i gaurantee this will be the most useful plugin for ppc user...
somebody should try to make it, cuz im not a prgrammer
Come on you programming gurus..
you had a full 5 hours to do this and no one has done it...
Were you guys sleeping or something?
I currently use VJTOGGLETODAY. Not sure where I got it from but if you do some diggin' I am sure you can find it. you can also look into wisbar adv. as it lets you configure your start button.
SoBBie
this is already possible - transparent bars are part of the theme.
search for home screen designer and have a play
VJ toggle today cannot do that thing and home screen designer is for smart phone only.
I know it is not exactly what your looking for, but here is what I did:
I use WA3, and in the theme I use, I took the top bar image and exchanged it with am image I made by taking my current wallpaper image, and copying the top part (same height as the top bar image in the theme), and named it the same name the top bar image had in the theme I use.
(Sorry if it got too wordy)
Although it isn't truly 'invisible' it does have the effect I wanted. I will try to post a screenshot later when I get home.
anybody willing to make a program on this...
hi to all,
this is another annoying thing i have been trying to get rid of for a few months now.
it is regarding the grey horizontal line which sits right under the top bar.
to be more precise: i am not referring to today-plugin seperator lines in common, i mean just the top one, which seperates the top bar (containing the radio icons, etc and the start menu) from the first today plugin.
here are my findings so far:
- as it is somehow related directly to the os, you cannot make it transparent
- the reg-key hklm\software\microsoft\today\items\htchome\lock position = no does not solve the problem
- setting hklm\software\microsoft\color\6 (today screen horizontal bars) to the same color as the background does also not work as it only affects the other plugin seperator lines
is there any news to this topic? maybe there are more possibilities to tweak when you have 6.1 device?
many thanks
I have the same question.
i used to use vjtoggletoday to make the top bar smaller. the default size is 26 i believe. Set it to 24 and that should hide the seperator but keep the rest of the top bar visible.
it's not the exact fix you're looking for but it pretty much get's you the same look.
i have been using vjtoggletoday as well for hiding the buttom-bar and the top-bar separator line. but from time to time the buttom-bar and the top-bar were re-appearing - so i was hoping to find a more stable solution. i am using now dcinobar which only hides the buttom bar
did you ever find a resolution? I found this site...have not tried, but you may want to take a look. (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/mobile/PPCColorConfig.aspx)

Hi all,
my question regards the bottom curtain: when I first start my mobile, I get a semi-transparent bottom curtain on the home screen (shot 1), changing tab on TF3D also changes my bottom curtain to a solid (non-transparent) image (shot2). When I move back to the homescreen I also get the solid (non-transparent) bottom curtain (shot3). -> Question: how can I change the bottom curtain so that it stays transparent even after changing tab in TF3D? I use the text only theme found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3525017&postcount=1738
appreciate ur helpd

Most of you already know how to remove carrier logo and curtains. But I managed to remove the top bar which was black and appeared under the page headings, text, calendar, camera etc. I could change the internet page but decided to leave it. see what you think.
If you prefer I made a cab-it will require a soft reset after install-or disable sense prior to install and then enable sense after
