I wish i was a developer myself then i wouldve worked on porting the aokp rom on this device. The honeycomb lag is driving me nuts and its also limiting the hardware capabilities of this device. Is there anyone out there who agrees with me and wants a aokp rom cooked for this device?

Is ICS Jesus?
Lol

Me too, strongly wish that akop will be ported here.

Yes, I agree, AOKP is "needed" on this device!
theres aokp for 10.1 and 8.9
the 7.7 is unlocked / rooted right? why can't aokp be easily ported over?

Hardware is totally different, kind of in its own league.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
we can request AOKP developers to make for us.
And we need offical CM9 also! Tab 8.9 and 10.1 has offical CM9
We have ICS! Now let us pray for AOKP ;-)

Yup, that's some good news.
Perhaps we can even start an ICS AOKP ourselves and KANG the KANG ?
Can someone help m eunderstand benefits of this wonderful thing?

CM9 devotee here. I can care less about AOKP really, but the more rooms the better for the tab I guess.

I've been using a Galaxy Note (GT-N7000), which has a booming development community, for weeks. However, the Tab 7.7 was so impressive, I just had to get one. However, I don't think I was quite prepared for the lack of development on this device. I've searched for an OC kernel, but can't find one. Am I overlooking something?
Sent from my GT-P6810 using XDA Premium HD app
Ain't no kernels yet. Enjoy the device now and someday Samsung will drop an ICS update and everything will be just perfect.
Goddamned Honeycomb! Honeycomb is the bastard child of an affair between Android and closed-source development. I can't wait for a fully AOSP build for the 7.7.

CyanogenMod9 or AOKP. Which one is more yummy for you?

I will probably use stock rom with Apex until I start development.
AOKP

Paranoid Android has changed the game for me. Huge AOKP fan, but with the screen size and tablet UI functionality built in I'm now back to AOSP.
CM9 - the original is the best. No nonsense, no bull**** - just plain awesomeness.
My vote is CM9

very nice answer.
Stock all the way, if you want a phone for using, rather than screwing around.
And the purpose of this thread?
Sighz.....
correct nor cm9 nor aokp can handle feature rich phone like s3
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I mean IF I was going to flash one of these it would be aokp, it's just awesome, and suits me well, but none of them are going to take advantage of samsungs features

AOSP=SGS>SGSII>SGSIII feature wise, you lost very few features if flashing sgs to aosp, little more with sgsII, but my opinion is that if you want to flash CM9/AOKP on sgsIII its better getting cheaper phone with less features (note that im big fan of plain android), since you threw some money away-you paid for smart stay, smart alert......, because sgsIII is more software focused than hardware
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA
Obviously, I bought GS3 because of 4.8inc HD screen and overall GS3 features. CM9 & AOKP cannot support all the GS3 features. So I would just stick to stock rom until I get bored with GS3 features before decide to flash CM9 or AOKP
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA
I have used both AOSP and AOKP on my earlier HTC Sensation phone and my vote goes to AOKP there... but for S3, i tried both and atleast at this time, would stick with stock.

I would like to see TouchWiz tablet ROM for Note II. I think it's possible to port it from Galaxy Note 10.1, because Note II and Note 10.1 are very similar devices.
Personally, I think Samsung should have made their own hybrid TouchWiz right out of the box. Let the user decide how their apps run and look!
I think this is what you were looking for:

Read first message carefully. Paranoid is CM10 ROM, not touchwiz, which is very unstable, full of bugs and without all samsung features and apps.
UP!!!
Really intrested on it....i would love to see TW Tablet Rom like Galaxy Tab 10.1 on my Note2 !!!!!

Yes, please port. The kindle needs more roms. If you are in need of help or a tester let me know I'd be glad to help could you post a link to the rasbean I wanna see what this is. And if it's ok, to make a PERSONAL port for me and if I succeed and you have problems I could give you a hand. Cheers

Thai is what it will be. Hash code gave me permission to use his aosp ROM as a base, so it will be a hybrid between his and rascarlos basically
