how do you know for sure its not recognizing it in bootloader?
When I plug in my nexus I can't do anything. The hardware buttons don't work. I don't see anything in the drivers when I plug it in either.

Well, just to let you know, you haven't bricked it. Bricking something means you can't access the device what so ever i.e. it won't boot, won't go into recovery/bootloader mode etc. As to fixing it, I'm not sure. Can the device turn off and on? Have you got drivers installed properly (was fastboot and adb working before this happened)?
deleted
I am sure you tried every option , have you tried adb reboot recovery command, when u turn on phone, or adb reboot bootloader. If the manual way does not work, for example when device is powered off (volume down then holding power for 10 seconds). Let me know. Need more details.

So rebooting isnt the problem but getting into recovery or even getting my computer to recognize my device is what i need help with. The entire thing freezes when im in bootloader and try to plug into my computer. So i have to reset by holding down the power button. Ive installed and uninstalled drivers through wugfresh toolkit and nexus 7 toolkit.

That doesnt work either. The thing is, I can use the volume buttons BEFORE I plug it in, but as soon as I plug it into a computer the tablet freezes and i have to reset it.
So ive uninstalled all drivers including the SDK and reinstalled everything and im still stuck at the bootloader. Im starting to believe that its pretty much a lost cause. Can anyone help with trying to figure out what i may have to do now.
If you can get into the bootloader, you're not bricked, nor is it a lost cause.
Since you uninstalled them reinstall the drivers. Download the factory image (nakasi) from here, and then follow these instructions to use cmd and fastboot to reflash the stock ROM.
Ok I will try this.
Freakin love this site!!!
OK, so i now have everything up and running after about 2 hours of uninstalling and installing everything. Turns out that my cpu (or me) was duplicating the drivers. I feel dumb for that
Hey , i havent touched my N7 forquit a while .. today i tryed to turn it on and found out it is out off power soi plugged it into my charger but when i tried to turn it up i passed the google logo and was stuck at the blackbean logo (when its connected to the charger it show the charging ani but turns off after 5 sec then i need to click the power bottom to see the charging ani again) and when i try to get into fastboot i cant . it just shows me the place where i can select between "start" , "recovery" and "fastboot" but it get stuc on that screen . i cant move anything or just hit "start" cuz it doesnt work either .
So am i bricked ? what can i do ?
i dont understand how that happened since i didnt touch it all week long .. (oh yea and the battery never charges it stays forever on the lowest point of the ani)
Leave it charge for a while without messing with it.
secondly it is not bricked, if it turns on any bit and if it shows anything on the screen it is not bricked.
I don't know why people keep using that word incorrectly, brick means that your device is basically a brick, a paperweight.
And that screen that says recovery etc IS where you fastboot from, that's the bootloader screen.

If you get to the menu that says "recovery" "start" "reboot bootloader" then you are in fastboot mode/bootloader.
Leave it charge a while and see if it works and if not you can flash a factory image or better yet, reflash your recovery and flash a ROM zip

What error do you get when you try flash something by fastboot?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
When you are 'stuck' in fastboot, you have a couple ways to go about it... one option and that is to run the N7 toolkit to get the N7 into recovery. From there you can restore your stuff, drop stuff onto your N7 to flash a new rom, etc...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809195
Basically you run the toolkit like you are going to root it. Then when you get past installing the USB drivers and such, IIRC there was an option to get into recovery.
Ughh, toolkits.

Sounds like you need to fastboot the factory image to the device. Try multiple versions of fastboot. People have been reporting problems and switching to a new version of fastboot has helped.

Try a new version of fastboot... possibly from one of the rootkits then follow these instructions....

Sounds like you're in fastboot mode and the above should work. Possibly make a YouTube video to show us the problems.

Hi All,
I had TWRP recovery on this LG D802. Because download mode wasn't working i flashed a stock recovery. Since that moment i don't have:
- Recovery mode
- Download mode
- Fastboot mode
The phone is in a boot loop though. It flashes the LG logo on and off. The phone isn't being detected by the computer.
I hope someone can help me.
Kind regards.

This is not to dampen your spirit but if it is not detected by computer then it is very hard to get it back to life. But I guess it is not detecting by computer because it is not fully loading(at least some of the necessary files loading). If you aren't able to get into download mode or fastboot mode, I guess you may try the method explained in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
Hope your device get back to normal following that thread, you need Ubuntu for that method to try, but that's(installing ubuntu) not a difficult.
Thank you for your answer. Onfurtantely that is not helping because for that manual the mobile needs to be detected by the computer.

Then I suggest you to completely switch off the phone(I hope you already done that) & leave it for some time and then try it after some time. Did you use the proper stock recovery when going from TWRP to stock recovery(I mean the recovery that is intended for your phone model)?. What I think is that as long as it is seeing some sort of life(it is going as far as LG Logo), there is a hope that it can be recovered. I think some thing is messed up in recovery or boot or one of those partitions that are checked during the boot.
You need to first download the kdz and lg flash utility with drivers.
Install drivers
The factory reset deleting system, cache, internal sd.
Then shutdown your g2.
Start to downloaded mode connecting your g2
Flash kdz & voila... Done
I too bricked my phone before. My flashing stuck at 49%. Recovered using above method, all is well now
This works 1000%. I bet on it. Just remember to wipe the phone completely before flashing. You will return to stock with unrooted status in download mode. U will have your warranty back too

ok stop copy pasting same thing on different places if you would have read you would have noticed in the beginning he can't eneter download mode
On which system did you try it?
Maybe try Windows,Mac and something like Ubuntu.
Also take a look at this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
It worked for me, maybe it does for you too.
I rooted my lg g2 D802, put cwm recovery and flashed cyanogenmod 11. It worked perfectly for 80 hours, when my battery died. I tried to recharge it but my phone won't boot anymore, I only see lg logo. I can't get into recovery, but i can get into download mode. I tried flashing stock ROM through PC but it doesn't work. PC recognizes phone in ports but when I start Flashtool it just says "Waiting for Connection". After reading tons of threads about bricked phones, it seems that phone has to have USB debugging enabled. When i flashed cyanogenmod USB debugging was disabled. And now my phone is bricked with USB debugging disabled.
Please help me to restore my phone, I'm desperate now. I've been trying various methods for 3 days and nothing seems to work. What should I do?

If you have lg logo use lg support tool. I had the same problem and it restores my phone to factory firmware. Dont get scared if you see a lot of ?????????? On lg suppor tool. Just look for the options.....check where the options are before connecting phone because when plugged letters change to ??????. Works 100% for me.

To be completely honest, I'm not sure how exactly did I manage to unbrick it. I tried to dig something with adb and fastboot. I don't know what exactly did I do but I didn't get any visible result. In my desperation I tried to enter recovery (power + down) once again (after at least 10 attempts during these 3 days) and it somehow worked. Then I flashed ROM that was already in my memory. It seems that my problem was consequence of OTA update.
I'm new with android so I'm still noob. I'm sorry that I can't help more.
i have a same problem if u solve it
Did you try doing an upgrade recovery using LG Mobile Support Tool on Windows 7 machine?
Ok, I've put my flame suit on, but I swear I have tried everything. I am not a developer level guy by any means, but I've been installing custom roms since the OG droid. But this time I got distracted and clearly made a foolish mistake. I was installing XDABBEB's new rom and I totally flaked out and installed the bootstrap and the rom in the same flash. it obviously didn't work and even though I read the instructions, I tried to restore my rom from a backup. Now the only thing I can do is boot into fastboot.
I've tried a number of ways to get TWRP or CWM back onto my phone so I can sideload a rom onto it, but every time I try to fastboot a recovery file it says that "remote: image is not a boot image" or something. What I have gathered from my research is that I cant install a custom recovery unless I am rooted.
/
So, without a custom recovery and only fastboot at my disposal, where do I go from here?

I have a VS980S. I have tried the LG flash tool, but I can't get any of the numerous LG drivers to recognize my phone. I even tried dd commands in Ubuntu, but all it would do is try and mount volume after volume making it impossible to use the interface,

Sorry, what do you mean by "opening window in map"?
I was also in the same boat for 36 h, stuck on trwp recovery, no rom, no gaps in memory... I'm freely sailing now! I did this:
- press together power and lower button to get usb connecting screen, unplugged usb cable.
- LG tools installed and D-802 pilots {for me] installed, plug cable and check pilots again.
- launch in LG tools option for wrong install repair
- wait until the complete rom repair is installed, quite long, and then you win automatic reboot! You just loose root. Ioroot 25 again, that's all.
Hope it works for you chaps.

But try the llink provided ...it will wake up your phone ..! :good:
Believe me before doing any thing using your pc just try to change the usb port first, then let it install the driver automatically(if you're using w7/8)
if windows xp just dont plug your phone remove the old LG driver and then plug your phone to another usb port that the one you have used it before with your phone and install the driver, and then proceed....
Why i am telling you this?
because i had almost the same problem with my galaxy note 2..... it wasn't recognizing my phone until i changed my usb port in download
mode and let it istall the driver......
hope it'll help.......... :good:
