Running Miui 1.1.28 and the camera is poor along with the video camera (no 8mp or 720p recording as it keeps crashing) so I deleted both camera apps. Is there anyway to get the default HTC camera app back on my phone without losing this great ROM?
No people tried and failed HTC apps only work with Rosie (sense) so the standalone app cannot work on other roms it will keep fc.
You would have to get dev to work on modifying Rosie to aosp roms.

Is the quality better on sense roms or cm roms ?

Hello to all,
it's long time I'm using Android on my HD2 and I'm very satisfied using it. I've tried all versions but I never find the optimum rom, all have some defects that don't permit to have the FINAL version. Now I'm using the Haldric sense 3.5 , it's almost perfect except few things :
- camcorder lag
- native wired tethering
- wi-fi tethering
- internet pass-through
Is there any chance to see these issues solved on sense 3.5 or should I revert back to sense 2.1?

So far, no sense 3.5 have fix this issues.. maybe in future..
camcorder records the video stretched
I installed the update on January 4, the camcorder records the video stretched. Use the options to record and nothing. It looks stretched.
We expect a solution soon.

AOSP, CM7, MIUI or Sense 2.0 actually all seem fine to me

I installed runnymede sense and rcmix 3d,but both of them cant support HD games, like Brothers in Arms. The only game that works is Asphalt 5. Is that a problem of all hd2 on sense or just mine ?
Hi,
I tried a lot of roms since i have my HD2 (just love it)
I really like the way ics looks and feels but i dont like the camera cause the camcorder has lower resolution.
Is their a ICS Rom with a Camera which can do 800x480 in recording and 4MP Widescreen Photos??
Thx for the help in advance

so it can only take 640x450?
Well at the moment i am using a GB rom where i can do great 800x480 videos but in the IC S roms i've tested so far i only got 640x480.....

I'm not 100 % sure, but i think there is a fix for ICS which enables the camcorder to record 720p video.
I'll dig up the link and post here.
As for 4 MP shots, just crop the image
i think this is it
