CM7 Wi-Fi Fix for WPA & WPA2 Connections!

I'm back guys, with another thread
This will probably be my last one in the X8 forums due to my departure in exactly one week
So, this thread is a quick and easy fix for the problem that some people are experiencing with their
WiFi on CM7!, mostly WPA2 networks....like mine.

Guide
------
1. First, download this file. This is the fix. (ITS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP!!)

2. Now, you must get Titanium Backup. Either via the Market using 3G or downloading it on
your PC and transferring it to your phone. I don't support piracy so please, just get the Lite version.
3. Install the file on your phone.
4. Now, either on your phone or PC, extract the fix that I've listed for download above.
5. Once you've got both things done, proceed to this next step.
a. If you've installed Titanium Backup then you'll have the 'TitaniumBackup' folder on your SD cards root.
b. When you extracted the ZIP, there was two files there. Copy them both to the 'TitaniumBackup' folder on your SD card.
6. Open Titanium Backup and press on the second tab 'middle tab' .
Scroll to the very bottom and choose 'WiFi Access Points' and hit restore. If it asks to restore data, hit yes.
7. REQUIRED! Reboot your phone.
8. Once you've rebooted Connect to your WiFi and bam, welcome back to your WiFi.
This has worked for me each and EVERY time I've used this fix. Its also worked for a good few people that I've shared this with.
A lot of people started encountering this so I decided I might as well share my fix. Kinda embarrassed as I found the fix in November :embarrassed:

I made this fix on GingerDX.
But you my have had a different problem to what this fixes.

Hey guys I got a tweak from wolfs Rom working on my x10 that increases the signal greatly. Watch the how to video here. Works in all roms. (if you have Wolfs Rom this isnt necessary. He already has it)

I now have over a 10000 kbps connection just like his in the video. Pretty cool.
First step unzip the file in your sd card then open the file via root explorer
Next go into system/etc/init.d and copy the modules script using root explorer.
Next go to your system on the actual phone (not the sd card) then go.to etc then find the folder called init.d. (if you dont have it flash this via recovery) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236446
Then place modules in the init folder.
Next go back to your sd card where the 4.0.4 thing is and go into system*etc and copy the entire. Install sh recovery folder then go back to the actual phone and go to.system/etc and just paste it there and select yes if it asks u to overwrite something.
Finally find the install recovery thing
you just copied and click it once and press execute.
Then your done.
How to test if it worked. Before u do the tweak download speed test from the market and test your current wifi speed. After tweak test it again. Note it may require a reboot.

No u dont. This is for other roms. Like stock or other custom roms like zidhus or jerepleas. Basically any Rom besides wolfs

you do realize that overwriting install-recovery.sh will overwrite any other init.d scripts the person might have and also any tweaks put in there by the dev (if you are using it on any other rom than wolfbreaks)?
You shouldn't be advising people to do stuff like this without at least warning them about what they're doing.

No problem. To delete tweak. If for some reason you want too just go to the init folder and delete modules.

To fix this error go to "data/apps" and delete "odex" file specific to the app giving errors. This will fix it.

Even I cannot locate odex file in Data/App im on stock rom
I cleared dalvik cache for the problem app and it worked

OMG! Im so frustated with my recent issues. Now, with this simple but very usefull tip, I've solved my problem..

Finally the solution is the lucky patcher program
Open it and go to troubleshooting and then remove fixes and backup and it ll tell u that ll fix insufficient space problem

Hello peoples of the xda community.
I was one of the lucky ones to download this rom before Tempius decided to have the thread deleted due to much criticism.
Let me tell you in short - for me, everything WORKS! Yes, even WIFI. Maybe I'm just luck, don't know. But no reboots after approximately 2 weeks. And I use my wifi a lot.
Everything else is a pleasure to use. And to crown it all, it's wayyyyy faster than Aurora (which is a fantastic rom)
Only downside, it seems, is the battery drain. This I can live with. I have chargers at the office, home and in the car.
In my opinion, this rom with the ADW launcher, is the best and most stable rom to use for the u8800.

Just checked the link on the first page again - is still working on my side.
PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT the developer of this rom! So I can unfortunately not assist in any way as far as bugs and development is concerned. This was simply my take on this rom that I wanted to share, because so far, I've had NO issues with it - NONE. Even the wifi works perfectly without any reboots. In fact, I haven't had a single reboot since installing this rom.
The only downside (if I have to point out one) is battery life - but this could be because of my heavy usage of the phone and the phone's poor battery management.
I installed this over an existing Aurora ICS with update 21. If i remember correctly, the steps for installing this was (stand to be corrected on this):
1. Reboot to recovery
2. Wipe data/Factory reset
3. Wipe cache partition
4. Format system
5. Wipe Dalvik
6. Install rom zip file
7. Reboot system

if u are already use gen 1/ gen 2 .
do delete system/etc/s99_sindaraboost first !
and then flash SDR_Boost gen3 and enjoy

Make sure your android is Rooted
make sure you have nandroid backup (optional)
Step is very easy !
1.put Sindara boost.zip to your sdcard
2.go to CWM/Recovery.
3Wipe Chace
4.Wipe Dalvik Chace
5.Install SDR Boost.zip From your SDcard
6.Just wait A little Second
7.Wipe dalvik again.
8. Reboot Your Phone !!
DONE !!!

I have another question, since you included supercharger, which minfree options did you choose? Because minfrees depends on devices' ram. And what about the uninstaller script?

in your build prop you will see the different if this script installed
in attachments on this thread, you will see new_wifi_module.zip
then u download that, and flash it via recovery

flash any kernel , or you can flash your kernel using now again
if dont work, i wanna make new one a fix .

You need 2 days to try to reupload? No offense, but do not make threads without complete ROMs. That is just confusing. Sadly it seems to have become a trend throughout the forums...
Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for every ROM, modded or built from scratch, but this is like telling somebody "Here's your cake! Oh, wait, I need two more days to give it to you!"...

I am really sorry, my internet cant upload the rom for these few days, i had copied this rom for a friend of mine to upload, probably link will be available today. Dont get me wrong too, the rom was completed seens last week Really sorry

Hi there,
After 1 day usage had notice that :
Rom is smothest and beauty ever tried - 20/20 points
The most stable JB ever made (in my opinion), no bootlopping, some FC (can be solved) - 15/20 points
Very fast and perfect for gaming and daily use (no scripts installed ) - 20/20 points
FC found : OTA - Performance - Keyboard Settings
Suggestions :
1 - Mod settings and other apps background, use transparency to allow user to see his own wallpaper.
2 - make pulldown notiication bar more transparent 15/20% more
3 - Create a tab in settings, where all customization settings are together.
4 - Create your own bootanimation (PM me if needed)
5 - Add more translations (PM me too)

I am not sure why but after i mod the keyboard ui it fc after changing the keyboard settings, but no worry cause u still can change your keyboard settings.
For OTA is not working in the original release of A_U roms.
For performance may i know what fc??? I will try to experiment everyway to fix the keyboard

Good rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095193 try modding this.Its even faster
Ok found one more issue :b When turn off screen it turn of and on couple time .. Weird xD
Another suggestion:
Try to add to recent panel, task manager.
EDIT: Performance FC when try to change Start-UP tweaks
