new york!!! ^_^
I'm actually pretty excited about LTE. Has there been any coverage maps released/leaked for any market? I'm in North Carolina and with the Galaxy nexus and Evo Lte launching soon I do not want to be stuck without 4g for too long.
Good find. Looks like they're getting AT IT.

This website seems to have a lot of info on the rollout of LTE for Sprint. If you click on a city it will give you a coverage map for that part of the state it is in.
http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/212-network-visionlte-deployment-running-list/
Very informative. I think where I live in CT is going to be right between the Boston and NYC rollouts.
That link was GREAT. I am just outside the Chicago market in NW Indiana, and that link showed some great details that I couldn't find anywhere else. Looks like I may be able to use LTE come June/July around my area.
Thanks again!
Unfortunately, the graphic at the top of this thread doesn't show LTE markets or coverage, but rather dates that Sprint LTE data centers will come online.

The Austin market information seems to be focusing on Waco!...not exactly Austin since Waco is an hour north of Austin.
Why would anyone start in Waco?!?
PS...for you Waco residents, not offense or anything

Waco was selected for a LTE FIT (field implementation testing), so that's why it has LTE in advance of the Austin city proper. But Network Vision/LTE deployment over the rest of the Austin market will begin soon. Stay tuned.

Looks like right around June 1st is when sites in the rest of the Austin market start in a big way. The schedule will go out approx. 5 months or so to complete the market to 100%. I created a LTE coverage map of the Waco FIT sites tonight.

I would love to see this lawsuit go somewhere, but the only one that will benefit is lawyers. Phone makers just wont announce any updates until they are ready to be released fearful of lawsuits.

The i9000 does. And the canadians.
Its just the US.
And I think samsung purposely told tmo to not release the update because it would impeed sales of the vibrant 4g, which would definitely be against the law since all galaxy s phones were launched with the specific statement of "will be upgraded to android 2.2"

No,i will be in Pune on 17th,then to Mumbai with 1 of my friend.
Both of us are going for SGS 2,as per now the dealer has confirmed 1.2Ghz+Super Amoled Plus version. But the final price he is saying might go to Rs 32,000 also but then as two of us are going for it,we are quite confident of the deal for Rs 30,000
I would appreciate it if you would post some pics after the purchase. Ill take a trip down to Mumbai as well.
Well don't get your hopes up, because lots of people get fooled by phone resellers... I'm not saying you won't get your phone by Monday, but don't be too disappointed when you don't, because you probably won't

my thoughts exactly. a big authorized retailer would not risk the reputation and the relationship with Samsung by selling a phone [under the table?] prior to the official release date. But I have never been to India, may be it is standard practice there

Was it just me or was the Quadrant score in that video less then the one in the image posted a couple of days ago. It might be due to the processor speed or something else.
They might have the 1Ghz version.

So, I was digging through access logs for my domain, and found some interesting things. I'd like to share some of the statistics with you all. To start, a summary of all the periods I have available:
Traffic served by k0nane.info by month:
November 2010: 620gb
December 2010: 363gb
January 2011: 105gb
February 2011: 71gb
March 2011: 1.424TB
April 2011: 938gb
May 2011 (so far!): 984gb
TOTAL: 4.433tb
From midnight to when I began this post, you guys downloaded 269gb of data. That's less than 9.5 hours!
Now, on to some more interesting stats.
The Good
On average over the last three months, you all download 40.31gb per day.
This is the daily bandwidth use. Can you fit the release to the spike?

Fully Loaded is the most popular SRF edition. It has been downloaded by 6,546 unique visitors.
Standard comes in second (of two) with 5,699 visitors. Combine the two, and SRF1.1.0 has been downloaded by 12,245 unique visitors - from my domain alone.
The EC05 TAR has been downloaded by 2,484 unique visitors. That's a lot of sponged Epics.
Here's a graph of the most popular files:
The Bad
The useless SRF1.1.0 journal versions were hit 735 times. Was that 735 Odin flashes?
The EB13 modem is getting no love, with only 167 hits.
You all have tried to download the non-existant EE03 TAR more than 30 times by guessing the URL. I'm not that stupid.
194 people have tried to poke their nose in where it doesn't belong: the root of /rom. Bad users. Bad.
The Ugly
Sprint's ****ty bloatware has been downloaded more times than the one click root for the Samsung Galaxy Indulge. Ouch.
1,006 hits to my domain have been from IE5 users. 3.46% of traffic comes from IE6 users. UPGRADE YOUR BROWSERS!
That's still more traffic than Opera users generate. Irrelevant browser says what?
Now for more graphs! I found these interesting.
Most active states:
The most active cities are Dallas, LA, Houston, Lake Forest (CA), Chicago, and Brooklyn.
"Market share" of browsers visiting k0nane.info:
The top browsers are Firefox (32%), Chrome (27.40%), Safari (17.47%), IE8 (8.07%), and IE9 (3.54%).
That's it for now! Hope you guys find this interesting too.

Looks like everyone but the U.S. is getting the Samsung Galaxy S II one way or the other and it seems like future owners have been waiting an eternity to get one. Hopefully Sprint will launch its version of the phone in a matter of weeks as what is believed to be called the Galaxy Within has been allegedly pictured above.
As you can see in the comparison shot we've put together below, the basic lines and what appear to be specifications are quite the same. Give or take a couple of details, you still have your eight-megapixel at the back but this time above the flash --which also seems larger -- instead of its left.
The Sprint logo should clear any doubts of the destination for the Within and the side buttons/rockers seem to match. With its 1.2GHz Exynos CPU coupled with 1GB of RAM, 4.3-inch Super AMOLEDPlus screen and a two-megapixel front facing camera, the Galaxy Within would be the EVO 3D's strongest competitor on Sprint. For all of you out there waiting, it should be coming soon -- late July according to rumors -- and with Android 2.3.4 at that!
