Well im having a hard time on my sony erricson x10. Last night i decided to flash it with the cm9 rc0 that is here somewhere.
I Started by doing the bootloader unlock making a kernel downgrade (X10_aZuZu_Kernel_Downgrade_Generic) then the unlock it self (qsd8250) and finaly the kernel upgrade (X10_aZuZu_Kernel_upgrade_Generic). All went fine. Then i flashed with x10_2.3.3_stock-with-xrecovery-v3.ftf and tried to install the rom (FXP115_update-cm-9.0.0-RC0-anzu-UNOFFICIAL-signed.zip) that did not went well for some how.
I had to use the pc companion and make a re-install. All went ok and now i end with a phone that starts ok i enter the pin for the sim card, and when i should see the "desktop" and icons i see nothing just the walpaper and the bar on top wich i can scroll down and view a message "no service".
I cant flash nothing more just the downgrade and upgrade kernel thing the x10_2.3.3_stock-with-xrecovery-v3.ftf (wich i have downloaded a few times from diferent places) gives the following line " ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed""
Im out of ideias :/ any one can help me?
PS: I have spent 7 hours googling here and everywhere and nothing relevant comes up.
Find the stock ftf for 2.3 and flash, then use the newest flashtool to root and add recovery then unlock the bootloader with the flashtool. All can be done with newest flashtool! Then install cm9! Simple as that

Will try this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192152
And report soon (hope good news)
If your gonna try cm9 don't forget to flash kernel that comes with it and remove the pin from your sim card.
Cheers,
Lunar.

Simple Solution to your Problem
Hi,
See my post on how to simply root, unlock bootloader and Install Custom ROMs.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1607452
Solution to your problem:
1. Go to Sony Ericsson PC Companion and go to Support Zone and update Software. (it will give you a option to reinstall the OS).
2. Reinstall the OS through, It will install and your phone will become to factory conditions.
3. Now follow my thread (Link above) to simply root, unlock the boot loader and install a Custom ROM. (Maximum time required is less than 10min).
No need to downgrade/upgrade kernel, do this, do that, check this, check that and all... it is very simple procedure.
Just one click for one job.
Enjoy.
You the men i cannot express my hapinnes in words. it would be F*%$#@ amazing
So many thanks to all i have found a user in same situation and helped it

Maybe if I'll try to flash with .145 it will work ? (i need this file)

Ok. managed to reinstall using SE Software Update. It's working now. So to flash with .181 i must enable Unknown Sources and Debugging ?
It is an error during flashing, as you can with PCCompanion recouperarlo or SEUS.
Try installing a firmware 2.3.2 and then upgrade via OTA.

And tell me how you avoided bricking your phone by doing an OTA update with your bootloader unlocked?
As far as i know phone must be bootloader locked to root.
I'm using ftf file .181, v2.3.2
I want to downgrade to 2.3.2, use gingerbreak, and then update to 2.3.3 via air or cable. It should work. i'll try tonight again.

hi i hope this thread help any people who had problem when flash x10 with incorrect baseband or incorrect rom. In my case i flash my x10 with baseband upper than 52 because I want to install the last miui version. The problem is that my phone only show sony ericsson in the boot then x10 dont do anything. I try to install the flashtoolrelease that has xflashtool.bat and the x10 dont work. Finally i found one rom that i use in flashtool and i share with you in this link
File name: flash tools ESTE SI ANDA.rar File size: 187.04 MB
If anyone has a question please let me know !!! See you
When I get to a computer tomorrow morning, I will give you a link to flashtool and a guide to properly work it.
You can also use your SEUS to fix your phone. Then do the ROM flashing process over again. But let me first tomorrow get the flashtool links.

If ever you think you may have bricked your phone. Download and install SEUS from Sony and flash back to stock.
The flashtool from here works fine -
http://www.multiupload.com/7H4JT35B6G
If you are running Windows 7, try right clicking on the flashtool and chose to Run as Admin.
Turn off any antivirus software that might prevent the flashtool from launching (although it shouldn't)
Go through the steps of rooting to test it out. If there are any problems, it will let you know what the problems are in the window.
If it doesn't work, I highly suggest trying to plug the phone into another USB port. If there is a problem, please don't hesitate in posting what error it fives in the window when you try and flash or root.
hey, so ive been seaching around this whole fourm and havent found any way to fix it.
My friend wiped my system from xrec and now with no /system my x10 is stuck at 'Sony Ericsson'. It wont go into xrec(assuming its because no /system) but what confuses me is that it wont go into flash mode at all. No Green light at all.
I don't consider myself a noob to this, ive been on xda since my htc 8525, but i'm just stuck right now

is the battery charged? and also if the right drivers arent installed, i think it installs them auto on win
7 but xp it doesnt, and dont confuse se companion with seus sorry if u already know this, but other than tht its a fault handset
This should be in the Q&A section, but....try removing the battery, download and install SEUS from Sony. Plug the USB cable into the phone and computer....go through the install and at the point where it tells you to unplug the phone and then turn it off and turn it on while holding the back button and plugging it in.
Hold the back button and put the battery back in the phone.
Hopefully that does it.
I have had problems trying to flash a buddies phone using the flashtool after I updated software but not firmware....it wouldn't detect the phone at all and prevented me from getting into flash mode....until I tried SEUS and the battery trick....then it worked fine....flashed back to 2.1...started again...re rooted, flashed...installed xRecovery and everything was smooth sailing after that.
Hello! my x10 was working perfect when suddenly it freeze, (i didn´t change proccesor speed), and after that it never switch on again it only vivrate when you turn it on, but i can´t even see Sony Ericsson logo... now seus says "the device can not be recogniced, unplug it and plug it again" The strange thing is that when i connect it to usb the led is green link when wanna flash, and never changes... i tryed with Flash tools and says this:

You can use Flashtool 0.6.7.0.
Download a StockROM version (you can search in this forum), copy ftf file to C:\Flashtool\firmware.
Run Flashtool, choose Flash button, choose Flashmode, click OK button.
In popup window, choose rom you need and click OK button.
Turn off your phone, Press the Back button and hold it. Plug the USB cable and wait.... Program is autorun to the finish.
my flashtool 0.6.7.0 download address!!
This is my FLASHTOOL for windows.

When I get to a computer tomorrow morning, I will give you a link to flashtool and a guide to properly work it.
You can also use your SEUS to fix your phone. Then do the ROM flashing process over again. But let me first tomorrow get the flashtool links.

Hi, i've got a X8, with nAa v08 (not 08b), with GingerCruzt8.5 , and i was trying to install X-ROM, so i need to go back to stock Kernel and ROM, so i tried with PC Companion, and i use "Repair Phone" but, it says me that there isn't new soft for my phone, then i tried with flashtool and when i try to install STOCK ROM over a tft file, it gives me an error and i can't install anything on my phone, it's like "Locked" and can't install any ROM or KErnel, but it works great, and i can keep on using my phone. But it's strange (???) can someone help me?
Oh, that's the LOG when trying to flash a KERNEL with FlasTool

Hi all...
My friend sent his X8 to a phone shop to get it updated to android 2.3.7 and ended up with a bricked phone cause by that phone shop.
Now, which according to him stuck at the white "Sony Ericsson" logo...Which i know is a soft brick and most probably can be saved by flashing it with PCC or SEUS or FlashTool.
I have ask him to flash it with SEUS or FlashTool, but not successful, still stuck on the SE logo, i doesn't know weather he do it wrongly or does not has any patient...
I gonna buy this phone from my friend, and repair the phone myself.
I want to ask u guys is there any other reason for the phone to stuck at the SE logo other than bricked phone? Could it be a hardware prob?
Thanks...
Cheers...
Maybe the shop took something from the phone:what:
White Sony Xperia X8
Cypress Screen with 3M protector
11w34 unlocked bootloader
Now with Cm9 nAa kernel

I have been stuck on Sony Ericsson logo a thousand times.
I always repair it successfully by using the "Repair" option in PCC.
It's simple and easy and works every time for me.
