You can pull down the normal status bar at the lockscreen instead and directly access apps as normal. The old notifications are gone from this release until someone releases a mod.

I have no idea what you're asking. Are you talking about this? Because the Play Store description explains how to enable/disable the dock for both Apex and Nova.
I did what it says in the play store in the discription, but it still does mot work!

I'm trying to make my S4 as close as possible to stock without rooting.
What I've Done:
I installed Nova Launcher and told it to use Jelly Bean Stock Icons.
I replaced the lock screen with holo locker.
Finally, I installed the Google Keyboard.
What Needs To Be Addressed (in order of importance):
Notification Panel
Phone App
Contacts
Settings Screen
Camera App
Gallery App
Out of the list that needs to be addressed, do any of them have a "Close To Stock" option out there?
There are some apps on the playstore if you search for ex. "camera jb", but most of them are not free .

I've been trying to find them, but haven't been too successful...especially when it comes to trying to find something that looks like Stock. I can't find any notification apps for example. Is the notification window not something an app can replace? I don't mind paying, but I just can't find them.
The only way to get is as close to stock as possible is to install vanilla.

I'm wondering how that's going to work out. So many unanswered questions. Will Google release the image right away or wait months? Will it just work for all S4's and be stable and fully functional? Or will it require devs to tinker with it to make it work for a Non-Google-Edition-S4's, and in the mean time users have smalls bugs to deal with as the devs make it more stable...like AOSP?
Time will tell. But...again, that will require rooting and this is a work phone.

Then I should rephrase: "Closer" to Stock than how I've got it
Ex dialer, with holo jb theme will get you the dialer and contacts app

Let's see what we're dealing with here.
Notification Panel - Maybe something here?
Phone App - Swipe dialer (free) Swipe dialer (paid)
Contacts - See the dialer
Settings Screen - Not possible. Themed maybe, but that's all you're gonna get.
Camera App - JB Camera+
Gallery App - Quickpic

Search for Moblynx and you will find some good jb apps .

One word: Vertumus
Install the stock camera and gallery app from the Google Edition SGS4 (it's just a single apk that needs to be installed and you get both apps).

Hello everyone, it seems like some goodies from the Sony Xperia Z2 dump works nicely out of the box!

What's in the zip:
Weather Widget
Clock Widget

Top Contacts Widget
World Clock Widget
Photo Widget
Music Widget (Only if you have walkman ported on your phone or Xperia phones with Walkman)
Xperia Home Launcher
Xperia Keyboard (With working smilies, no FCs or any bugs) (Smilies will look different depending on the ROM you are on, e.g AOSP ROM will have the default google hangouts emoji whereas HTC Sense ROMs will have a different style of emojis like the ones in my screenshots)
Xperia Wallpapers
Experience Flow 2 Live Wallpaper

Bugs:
There is a "Ghost" nav bar in home screen, like a blank empty space at the bottom where the nav bar should be. This will only appear if you have a phone with no on-screen nav bars (e.g HTC phones) (Look at screenshots below)

I'm afraid I don't know how
If anyone knows how to get rid of the ghost bar, don't hesitate to post here
I'll have a go at it later if no one knows how to fix it!
First of all many thanks for porting those Z2 goodies for us!! :good:
Maybe you can ask ashishdubey about how to remove the navbar space from the launcher?
He did an port for the Z1 launcher, he made 2 versions of it; 1 with the navbar and 1 without it.
See his thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2598768

Can't you select the default launcher when you press the home button? On non-AOSP ROMs, your usually given a choice to choose between launchers if you have more than one. Check if Home.apk is in /system/app, you may try moving it to /system/priv-app and see if that helps

That's pretty much impossible. That's like trying to port the HTC Sense camera to AOSP ROMs. It can't be done due to framework limitations.
