G2 Stuck On HTC Boot After Restored Boot - G2 and Desire Z General

Hello, sorry if this isn't in the right section but I can't post this thread in the Q&A since I made an acoount. I recently got my G2 today and I attempted to install cyanogenmod 7. It worked but I didn't get Google Apps or Marketplace and I couldn't get it from ROM Manager because my ROM Manager was outdated. I then attempted to go back to the stock ROM by going into the Clockwork Mod Recovery and loading a back-up there...that's where I screwed up. I went into the Advanced Restore and selected Restore Boot. I picked the only option available since I thought it would set my G2 to it's original setting before the cyanogenmod install. I turn it off and when I turn it back on, viola, it's now stuck on the HTC Boot screen. I've tried to go into the recovery mode to set it back to factory settings but doing the "volume up and power button" combination isn't working. It just vibrates three times and the led stays lit with nothing on the screen. Is there any hope fore me or did I mess myself out of a really cool phone. Thank you for any help. Please note I'm really new to Android and ADBs and this stuff but I'll do my best to learn.

Use vol down + power to get to hboot, then select recovery.
vol up + power is for Qualcomm download mode, which is unusable for us.
You havn't messed up your phone, just flashing a new rom (or even compatible kernel) will get it back up and running.

Root gone wrong

rooted phone. went well Installed rom
not so well.
Holding home and power brings me to a "Android System recovery Utility"
I think what i did wrong was i installed two different types of roms on to my G1 unwittingly. So now all that happens is it stays on the G1 screen and doesn't change. Left it charging overnight and stayed on that screen
Is there a way to access and rectify via console option.
Please help
If you have recovery, you should be fine. Just flash your favorite image and wipe your userdata.

Holding Home + Power is supposed to take you into the recovery image.
At the bottom of your recovery image does it say Amon Ra 1.5.2 or 1.6.2 or something like that?
If your phones rooted then just wipe and reinstall you rom.
Like lets say your doing the new cyanmod
you apply zip
DR83
With out rebooting apply zip
Cyanmod-rom 1.4xxxx
If it boots back into Android System recovery Utility just hold home and back again.
Give it time to write its radio and its first time rebooting it says on the boot screen for a awhile some longer then others.
This site has always helped me its better to see the instructions rather then read them.

Bricked and won't boot following attempted Samsung update (16GB Wifi Retail)

A message popped up from Samsung to install an update (I had been pressing cancel for the past week on this update). It says click OK to reboot and apply update (something along those lines) so I do. Now I am stuck with a tablet that won't boot. If I hold the power button it says "Samsung Galaxy 10.1" after about 12 seconds, but then it goes away and back to darkness. Nothing else. Holding power and volume up does nothing.
Someone know what is going on and have any idea how to resolve?
The best way is to restore any backup you have from cwm recovery. Else grab a stock firmware and flash it with ODIN or if zip than CWM recovery. For luck, try clearing cache and data in recovery, first!Perhaps it may work saving you all fuss of flashing a firmware.
I cannot even boot that far too get into recovery. And I just noticed that although I can't boot, the backlight is on (on a solid black screen).... wtf
You can't hold volume down and power button to enter recovery?
Nope. I plugged into my computer and for some reason with the USB connectd it let me enter recovery. Flashed a backup and rebooted, but now I have no wifi... im confused.
it occured once to me when i tried to overclock, it never worked except when installing a new rom... Try to root the device and then install a new rom
OK, was a helluva night messing with ROM and kernel installs... I have yet to go back to completely stock (that's next up tonight, unfortunately), but I installed Starburst ROM and the Wifi still didn't work so I then installed pershoot's kernel and now when I boot the screen is extremely distorted kind of like this: http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTsKa5IoQxnesGdUjykWDDggoQZ38yZ2VXSgPAQ09NOCnETzl9-
As a side note, when I say the wifi is not working, it still shows all networks and allows me to connect just like normal. However when connected no apps can access the network...
Can someone point me to a thread on how to revert EVERYTHING back to stock so I can start fresh? TIA!!

Should have all the files you need. From where you are now I would flash the stock OTA 3.1 or TW then flash the stock recovery and do a factory reset from that recovery. That should get rid of the garbled screen.
Thanks buddy. On my way to grab the files now
I heard the update was pulled as it sometimes rewrites the bootloader improperly. You might need to send it in, unfortunately.

phone is stuck on "samsung" screen

hi all
i recently got my phone rooted (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238070) using this method for the gingerbread stock i dont remember which step but its for rooting gingerbread...after successfully rooting phone i wanted to make a backup of my nandroid...that seem like a process...the recovery mode didnt have backup/restore option...so i was in the rom manager app and changed the flash recovery model (its the very last one on the rom manager) after doing that, it went into reboot but never leaves the "samsung" screen....so i took the battery out and was able to get into the recovery holding down both up/down and power button...and did a backup of current rom (stock)...and then select to reboot which still stays onto the "samsung" screen...so i am stuck and i dont know what to do anymore...or is a simple flashing a stock rom would fix it?

odin back to stock, reroot, ditch rom manager, and make sure your getting into cwm 2.5 red recovery for performing a nandroid backup.

Emergency help; Stuck at LG logo

Solved!
Please buy hyelton a beer or a damn new phone. He's a hero.
This worked: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476&highlight=decrypt
Hey guys, but of an emergency here...
I'm stuck at the LG logo after flashing the Pacman ROM with the latest unofficial CWM, and it seems to have failed at Formatting system. All four touch buttons on the bottom were blue, as if they had been pressed and highlighted. No response from anything.
Reboot. Then it got stuck on the LG logo. I can't access CWM anymore, holding power + vol down does nothing, I just go back to the logo. I'm running a D802.
This was a pretty standard flash for me, I have done this many times, so I was confident in it, but now have no way back into a phone I desperately need within hours.
Process went as follows;
Full wipe, format, initialize install, it failed/crashed/whatever, rebooted, now stuck on logo, unable to access CWM, and obviously unable to access ROM.
USB Debugging was on, but as the ROM doesn't exist anymore, not sure how much help that'll be.
I'll gladly go back to either CWM or TWRP, as well as stock ROM or whatever. I can sort all that out later, right now just need things back in running order.
Edit1: I can't even turn it off. It simply boots up again, so now also worried of damaging display or battery.
Edit2: It's not showing after entering "adb devices". List is empty.
ANY help appreciated.
I'm running Windows 8, and no, I will not be able to reinstall to W7 or Ubuntu.
Thank you

Help! Can't flash ROMs from Flyme OS 5.1.1 system!

So there I was, using Cloudy 3.3 on my G2 international model (d802) when I thought to myself: Why wouldn't I change the ROM. I guess I got bored of it and while in the past year I tried almost EVERY ROM (at least every 5.1 lollipop ROM and these new marshmallow ROMs) I wanted something different this time. I remembered that Flyme OS system and wanted to give it a go. I found one here on xda site, I think it was Flyme 4.1 or 4.0 or something like that but I decided to go for a ,,newer" version of the system.
I found Flyme OS on this site: http://www.flyme.cn/firmwarelist-14.html
And as you can see the entire site is in Chinese but I managed somehow and downloaded it. I had TWRP 3.0 installed and I think I know the thing or two about flashing ROMs on this device. The whole installer is AROMA based and even though it was in Chinese I managed to flash the system. And that's when I knew I f****d up. After I installed it and it booted up, I figured that I'm not really into the whole Flyme interface and wanted to revert to stock. But I couldn't!
1. I no longer have download mode, when I stick USB cable and hold volume up it shows me an animation of ,,download mode'' but then in upper left corner appears a message saying ,,boot secure error'' or something like that and then it shows me a black screen.
2. I no longer have my TWRP recovery installed.
- I can't use 3rd party apps to restart my phone into recovery because this OS is NOT rooted! And I can't even root it because there's no method for it. I tried the default rooting method for MEIZU phones which include you logging in to your Flyme account and all of a sudden ,,root permissions'' option appears in your settings - DIDN'T HAPPEN. I also tried other different methods but to no avail. It just can't be rooted. - Even when I turn the phone off and try to do the hard reset thing with simultaneously holding power + volume down button - it won't show me the LG's default ,,factory reset'' screen which could potentially lead me into TWRP. It just boots normally!
So, the conclusion:
I flashed an unknown Flyme OS system for LG G2 from a Chinese site and it works decently good but when it installed - it turned my G2 completely to a MEIZU phone. I have no clue on how to revert it and PLEASE I would appreciate any help given. Before giving your opinions in the comments, do read every sentence I wrote above.
Thanks in advanced.

Did you tried going to recovery mode by completely shutting off your phone and then pressing volume down + power button simultaneously. If goes into recovery mode as you said you have no twrp installed. What does it shows and also what happens when you connect your phone to pc in recovery mode?.
P.S i recovered from a similar issue like you on my sprint g2

I tried going to recovery with my phone being completely shut down, however, it simply turns the phone on. No button combination gets me into recovery anymore. As if it simply vanished from my phone (the recovery, of course). It doesn't show the default ,,Factory data reset" option when I hold volume down + power button whilst turning the phone on. No options whatsoever. So I didn't even get the chance to connect it to the PC while in recovery, since there's no recovery installed on my phone.
