try flashing jvu from samfirmware with odin3 v1.82 and pit512 with repartition
after you get PASS, restart the phone and wait until some processes will complete, the phone will automatically reboot, then take out & insert back the battery.
after that continue as usual with the flashing of custom kernel like semaphore 2.5.0.
now you'll be able to install custom roms

ive done alot of flashing
can u provide link to jvu etc
only other option i have found is using adb command and remake the partitions, but i can't get premission on the phone to do that via recovery. take a look at my other thread.

Phone Stuck in Endless Stock Recovery Loop!

I used the DI01 restore files from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=782204
and the .pit file from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878620
1. I first flashed the System partition with the Re-Partition option checked and the .pit file.
2. The I flashed the kernel (no pit or re-partition)
3. Finally I flashed the modem (again, no pit or re-partition)
Odin reports all three completed sucessfully, but when I power the phone on, I get and endless loop into Stock Recovery.
HALP?
first off, why did you check the re-partition? Odin is to be used without touchiong anything except pda and start (at least for fascinate)
Try using Odin for DL09 full package and you wont have to flash anything but one thing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=911677
I used the re-partition option because I was having issues with DBDATA partition corruption and flashing back to DI01 didn't fix it.
Flashing DL09 now....
DL09 flashed successfully, still goes straight to Stock Recovery.

Try flashing this package: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=867648
yeah never touch anything in odin except the pda button and start. If i could get source code for it i would take out those buttons and recompile.
I was able to get into CWM Recovery and when I do a data wipe, I get the following errors:

That's the one I'm using.
you try a different sd card yet?
I have not tried a different SD card. from what I'm seeing it doesn't seem to be the culprit. Looks like the fact it can't mount the DBDATA partition is holding things up.
I'm restoring using Andrenalyn's DI01 package.
EDIT: Full DI01 package failed at movinand.bin
It's Alive!!
I was able to flash the full DI01 package using Heimdall, excluding the movinand.bin portion.
try eb01 heres a link.

awesome! hope your done sweating bullets...
Fingers crossed. We'll see if the original DBDATA partition corruption is still there. That's what cause this whole mess.
Just out of curiosity, why is the movinand.bin the only part that fails when I flash the DI01 package?
thanks everyone for your help!

got error in recovery after flashing with odin

I have flashed my galaxy S with ROM 2.3.3 XXJVK, odin finished, and rebot my phone into recovery mode where i got this error
E: failed to mount /dbdata
E: copy_dbdata_media: can't mount /dbdata
so i select just restart, and phone start.. So i don't know what this mean. Anything wrong? Cause my phone is working on this rom alright, didn't find problems
Only strange thing i find, when i tried to install doc rom it doesn't install.
I selected:
*Wipe version
*Chainfire's Kernel
*All Apps with default Samsung TW Launcher
*XXJVK Stock Theme + AOSP lockscreen + Shut Off Animation
But none of that install after in say in recovery COMPLETE..
if the phone is working fine, dont worry about it.
if it starts to cause issues, you need to flash 'dbdata' thru odin, or a firmware that contains it, such as JM8 or Darkys 9.2 resurrection.
ive had this issue a few times, leading me to boot loops. so if you experience them, you will know why.
or, a more simple solution,
CLEAN YOUR DEVICE BEFORE FLASHING.
i think it is written in every guide,
erase cache, erase internal storage, erase user data!
then flash, and there will be no problem, no error.
also, disable all lagfixes!

[SOLVED] Galaxy S I9000B not booting, no recovery mode

I rooted and installed CM7 on my SGS i9000B about 1 month ago. Everything was going fine and I was in love with my phone.
This afternoon, suddenly and with no apparent reason, it started giving me infinite "Force Close" messages to all apps I tried to open, making the phone pretty useless. Whe this happened I tried repairing permission from within Rom Maanger but the problem persisted. So I booted in recovery mode (Clockwork Mod Recovery) and tried fixing permissions there, but force closing problem was still there.
I had an Nand backup from the day I installed CM7. So I went to recovery mode again and tried restoring the backup, but it gave me an error (I believe it was somwthing related to disk space, but I'm not sure about that). So I did another backup (just in case) and tried to reboot the phone to try restoring backup again.
The problem is, now I can't get to recovery mode again. When I rebooted I was not able to go back to recovery mode anymore. I am still able to get to Download mode though. So I was thinking about flashing some rom/bootloader or something back in from Odin, but as I have no experience doing this, I believe it's safer to ask for help here before doing anything to the phone.
I believe it's not bricked yet, since I can still get to download mode.
Can anyone give me some detailed info about what I should do?
Do flash Kernel one more and,
Do root again and try that working.
If it happend again, wipe dalvik-cache and after your device is rebooted, try again in CWM.

Sorry but I have very little experience with this and I want to be sure about what I'm supposed to do. What do you mean by flash kernel again? Is it flashing CyanogenMod 7 again via Odin?
I flashed the kernel again using Odin. Used the same file that I used before (when I fisrt rooted the phone a month ago - speedmod k13C). Now I can get into Recovery Mode.
But now I have a different problem. I tried to do a nandroid restore (backup and restore - restore ALL) but I have some errors related to mounting errors:
Code:
Checking MD5 sums...
Restoring system...
E:Can't mount /dev/block/st19 to /system with parameters auto llw.check=no
(File exists)
Error mounting /system/!
Skipping format...
E:Can't mount /dev/block/st19 to /system with parameters auto llw.check=no
(File exists)
Can't mount /system/!
I have no idea what that means.
Any help?
While searching for help on this error I found some people saying that flashing stock rom back intro phone could solve the problem. So this was what I did. Flashed stock samsung rom back i using Odin but when phone rebooted the following error appeared:
Android system recovery <3e>
Samsung Recovery Utils
- for BML -
[some recovery options]
update media, please wait
E:Can't mount /dev/block/st110
(Invalid argument)
E:copy_dbdata_media:Can't mount DBDATA:
So I have a very similar error - "can't mount /dev/block/SOMEFILE". It looks to me like a problem with the internal sd card. What do you guys think?
Solved
I could solve the problem using the method described in this thread.

Bootloop after Nand Erase All in Odin

Please help.
I'm stuck on bootloop after flashing stock XXUAME2 rom with Odin.
The reason is - I checked/enabled the "Nand Erase All" before flashing. I know, stupid. But what should I do now to unbrick it?
Well, firstly I successfully flashed stock ME2 over my MDM with Odin. But all my stuff was still there (apps, huge files and so on - which I already backed up on my pc) and my memory was almost full. So I wanted to clean everything before flashing TWRP and a custom rom. And then I checked the freaking Nand Erase.
Now, I tried to flash TWRP and do a factory reset/full wipe, but couldn't even enter into recovery mode (vol up+home+power) - it shows "GT-I9505 logo" with small blue text "recovery mode" on top of the screen and then it quickly returns to power off state (with battery charging animation).
The Download/Odin mode is working, thank God. But flashing a stock rom from Odin doesn't solve the problem of bootloop.
I've read that after a nand erase it is needed to flash a PIT file to fix it. Any suggestions where to download it? What version of a PIT file should i look for?
Thank you, guys in advance.
I dont think it will do the job.
I think that nand erase has wiped partitions data.
Any way try with pit. It is in my signature. (Choose right pit file)

Thank you, but flashing PIT didn't work - I made everything according your instructions. Still bootloop.
Maybe I need to reflash Bootloader/Phone/CSC?

go into recovery, if it is possible, wipe data and cache, then flash with odin the stock firmware in pda with the pit file in pit window. just check auto reboot, f.reset and re-partition. when it say "pass" remove battery, re-insert it, go to recovery, wipe data and cache reboot.
im afraid that ticking "nand erase all" in odin, usually lead to a hard brick!

Duuude! It worked!!!!
Even without flashing param partition. Just the first step:
go into recovery (I flashed CWM with Odin), if it is possible, wipe data and cache, then flash with odin the stock firmware in pda with the pit file in pit window. just check auto reboot, f.reset and re-partition. (then it went into bootloop as usual and after a moment Odin said "pass") when it say "pass" remove battery, re-insert it, go to recovery (the recovery at that moment returned to stock), wipe data and cache reboot.

Sure! And for the next time what exactly should I pick from recovery to erase everything? apart from wipe data/cashe/factory reset? There are also some format options in advanced menu (format system, data, cashe, dalvik cashe and so on). Or I should not touch anything there anymore? )))

no need for format system..
if you format system, then it must be a ready custom rom in your sd card to flash via cwm. or you must flash stock via odin.
wiping data and cache and dalvik is enough

you dont need param file just redo this:
go into recovery, if it is possible, wipe data and cache, then flash with odin the stock firmware in pda with the pit file in pit window. just check auto reboot, f.reset and re-partition. when it says "pass" remove battery, re-insert it, go to recovery, wipe data and cache reboot.

if stock recovery didnt work at first, flash any custom recovery and make the wipe.
it is important to use pit file with the firmware.

Can't install any GApps at all *fixed, see my post page 2*

I've made a couple of mistakes, so I decided to reinstall the original firmware to reset everything and have a fresh start:
I want Android 11 with Google apps. I'm following this:

When installing open_gapps-arm-11.0 pico or nano I'm getting:

You can find the PIT file in my Collection, read the note how to flash it.
Then proceed with clean install steps.

Yes I tried twrp-3.6.1_9-0-jflte.img but then I get the no touch problem.
I did the PIT flash, but still have the "Error 10: failed to set-up open gapps pre-bundled busybox" after installing open_gapps-arm-11.0-pico-20220215
When I'm in Mount, I select System, but can't start the flash, no button.
Right now, I'm just gonna test all the other TWRP's from https://eu.dl.twrp.me/jflte/
No touch problem:
twrp-3.6.1_9-0-jflte.img
twrp-3.6.0_9-0-jflte.img
twrp-3.5.2_9-1-jflte.img
TWRP-JDCTeam-3.3.0-0-build1
The only TWRP working for me is:
twrp-3.6.2-jflte-20220620
I am 100% stuck again. I even tried installing a Note 7 custom rom but then I got the no touch problem while installing.
I don't know what to do anymore...
I prefer to have Android 11 with open_gapps-arm-11.0-pico-20220215
Should I throw away my phone and buy a new one?
I just tried to install Miui 8 on the phone but I got the following error:
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p21
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p20
ERROR 7
Maybe this is caused cause I accidentally wiped Micro SD card earlier?
What can I do to fix my phone?

You tried to install ROMs from different device to your S4?
I don't know what you are doing but seems a mess.
I recommend you to flash PIT, Clean Install the latest Stock ROM/Firmware and latest Bootloader & Modem and then do Clean Install a Custom ROM.
You can find all the guides and latest links in my thread.

Use this recovery.
You can find the PIT file in my Collection, read the note how to flash it.
Then proceed with clean install steps.
If you still getting the issue with mount, go in twrp menu press Mount and select System and then flash.

Reason I've tried that, because those are complete packages with GApps already in them. I used these:
OK, fresh start, I just did:
- Flashed PIT
- Clean installed stock ROM
- Installed Bootloader & Modem
- Installed TWRP
- Clean installed lineage-18.1-20220707-nightly-jfltexx-signed
- Installed open_gapps-arm-11.0-pico-20220215 then I got the error again:

If you wiped MicroSD then you can't fix it. You lost ur data there.
It may be also problem with SDcard or corrupted .zip.
Redownload MindTheGApps.zip
After wipes and format data move ur zips (rom and gapps) to Internal Storage instead of SDcard and try flashing from there.
