Most customizable I'd say is either Glazed ICS or EyeCandy.

Reviving my kindle fire.

I have had a kindle fire since last Christmas and since may, it's been gathering dust. It's rooted and hadn't b3n updated in forever but what should I do with it.
How do I get jelly bean on it?
How do I get cyanogenmod on it?
What all can I do with it and what are its capabilites?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
You can get JB on it by flashing a rom. Naturally, you should have fff and twrp installed to make that easy to do. A kindle can do anything a tablet does except use cell towers and blue tooth. I like EyeCandy; current version is 3.4

+1to above. I personally like twa_priv's cyanogenmod 10 rom. Eyecandy is good too. The only real difference is Eyecandy is themed differently. Good luck.

Same here. My KF hadn't been touched in a few months and I wanted to try Jelly Bean. I used the Kindle Fire Utility to get FFF and TWRP and chose twa_priv's ROM. It was straightforward and problem free. Now this thing is an absolute pleasure to use. It's pretty amazing how much life these android devices can have.
Next I'm planning to put the dual boot FFF on here and try out one of the more stable roms like gede.

Gederom was my favorite ICS ROM, I am using jandycane now for jb and I like it. Once gedemis gets jb going I will probably run that

Hashcode's ics nightlies were really good too. His aosp jb isn't bad either. If you like vanilla flavored roms then that's a good bet.

But first make sure to update your FFF bootloader to 1.4a and update TWRP to the latest version.
The for all the help. As for root is burrito root from way back in December of or is there a new and better method?

Best ROM for TF101 Version 4.0.3

Im currently using Android Revolution HD, It seems ok but i expected more customization, I see almost no difference, Does anyone have some suggestions?
I've been looking at TEAM EOS 4 but noticed it's for 4.2, Would this work with 4.0.3?
Thanks in advance.
It isn't "for" 4.2, it is 4.2. You're going to be completely replacing 4.0.3. I've been using EOS 4, and think it's excellent. I tried the other CM 10 based JB ROMS and always went back to ICS because of issues. EOS 4 is more than stable enough as an everyday driver, and it got me interested in my TF again. I had been mainly using my Nexus 7.

Sorry for being a noob I installed my first custom rom yesterday, So i guess it's safe to install it? Would i need to "superwipe" before installing the new custom ROM?
No Superwipe. Just wipe data, cache, and Dalvik before installing. Don't forget to flash the latest GAPPS too. Many people also flash the KAT kernel. Your best bet is too read the first few pages of the EOS thread and follow the tutorial in the OP.

I would also recomend APEX Launcher with EOS4 as well. seems to run smoother then default lancher and it really opens up the customations of the tablet.

【Q】anybody port CM10 for XPRT now ?

rongsang ,Blackfire27 or other people did you do it now ?
I've been looking into it.
...
i doubt ... there is no stable CM7, because of some bugs, not to mention about CM9
it'd be very awesome to have CM9 on the same stage / state, as CM7

yeah ,so much issue CM9 there's,maybe CM10 could give us best news.
I think our phone will not be able to handle jellybean. better to take out all the bugs in ics..
I hope in the near future a miracle will happen and we'll have more or less stable CM9
Well, I own a Kindle Fire, and Hashcode has made a cm10 for it! The KF only has 512 Mb ram too! It could be possible.
The main problem is in changing the kernel.

How to install it? Wipe Data then Wipe Cache then Wipe Dalvik then Format System and then Install ZIP? I don't want to brick it because i have no linux and no tools to reflash a rom
The rom comes with a recovery, so you can just wipe everything and sbf back if needed. And wipe everything but external.

Just got my hd+ recently and put cm10.2 on it the next day. Haven't tried another Rom yet. Is there another Rom which can give even better performance than cm10.2?

Is it different than the official cm11? If yes, can you please share the link for the rom thread.
Thanks

Yes it uses a different Kernel and has some other features.
Download: http://goo.im/devs/succulent/ovation/cyanogenmod/internal/cm_ovation_11.0_07MAR2014_HD.zip
ROM - Thread: http://iamafanof.wordpress.com/2013/12/20/cm11-0-kitkat-android-4-4-2-for-nook-hd-xx-20dec2013/
(ROM - Thread hasn't been updated yet, but the download shows the latest version of that build)
I have been using Succulent's February version since its release. I am currently at 3 weeks and 2 days since I last rebooted my tablet. No issues and no lag. Very happy haven't even been tempted to move to the new March release. Works so well I don't dare mess with it.
I would like to see Miui for our tablet that would be a nice change of pace.

I know, I don' t get why his builds are rock solid and the CM11 Nightlies are very buggy, make my tablet reboot all the time and so on.
The only thing that makes me want to go back to CM10.2 stable is that drmarble released a 8x8 fuzz kernel for that build.
I find the February release to be more responsive than the fuzz kernel. I have an unusual chip set in my tablet that I have only seen one other person mention once so that may be why.

Are you saying not all HD+'s aren't (essentially) the same? What's different on yours?
