Im currently using Android Revolution HD, It seems ok but i expected more customization, I see almost no difference, Does anyone have some suggestions?
I've been looking at TEAM EOS 4 but noticed it's for 4.2, Would this work with 4.0.3?
Thanks in advance.
It isn't "for" 4.2, it is 4.2. You're going to be completely replacing 4.0.3. I've been using EOS 4, and think it's excellent. I tried the other CM 10 based JB ROMS and always went back to ICS because of issues. EOS 4 is more than stable enough as an everyday driver, and it got me interested in my TF again. I had been mainly using my Nexus 7.

Sorry for being a noob I installed my first custom rom yesterday, So i guess it's safe to install it? Would i need to "superwipe" before installing the new custom ROM?
No Superwipe. Just wipe data, cache, and Dalvik before installing. Don't forget to flash the latest GAPPS too. Many people also flash the KAT kernel. Your best bet is too read the first few pages of the EOS thread and follow the tutorial in the OP.

I would also recomend APEX Launcher with EOS4 as well. seems to run smoother then default lancher and it really opens up the customations of the tablet.

hello guys. I have a galaxy tab 10.1 WIFI 16GB. Currently im using milestone 4.
My problems started I think when I went to AOKP build 26. Many crashes (reboots)
WIFI doesnt work sometimes. sometimes when i didnt use the tab for a while and then i click the power button, I see the unlock screen but my touches do nothing.
This is realy frustrating cuz I cant use my tablet, Im having troubles ALL THE TIME.
I have CWM 4.0.0.4, yesterday when i tried to move to milestone 4 I also tried some other roms (not AOKP) and they all showed the same bug when i tried to install them: assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device")=="p4wifi" || getprop("ro.build.product")=="p4wifi"
WTF? i cant install roms that arent AOKP's. so guys, what can I do to save my dying tablet? please help
thanks, Amit.

What are the most popular or stable cm7.2 ROMs? Or is there actually only one cm ROM available?
I'm on 7.1 and I forgot how i flashed and all that stuff, so, I'm trying to get up to date and cm9 appears not to be daily driver ready yet?
Thanks everyone.

As mentioned in many other similar topics, CM7 offers the maximum satisfaction in all aspects, but CM9 can be used as daily system too as it offers almost everything apart the hardware acceleration.
Better try and judge yourself. You could even make a Dual boot sdcard to get the most of the 2 systems.
Produced by NookColor at ICS AOKP 4.0.4
Sounds good. Thank you.

There's a stable cm7.2. Rom you can download at the cyanogen mod download site. I run that off an SD card, and its great

Hi, what I would do is Odin Shabby's or AGAT's custom recovery found in the Android and Original Development sub-forums. Both are confirmed to work with creating and restoring backups. I've personally used Shabby's customer recovery twice to restore backups after testing CM10.1.
Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.
Alright cool thanks!, I had the gs2 before this phone so I knew it was somewhat the same but I wanted to double check before killing my phone lol

Go to the Android Development forum and go to Shabbypenguins OUHDS recovery thread, and it provides excellent instructions on installing the recovery.
SLIMBEAN is working great BTW. I have been rocking it since it came out. I was so pumped because I got my S4 the day it came out and before that I was using Slimbean on my S3 so I'm glad the first AOSP rom up and running well enough for a daily driver was Slimbean!
Look out for Garywn's CM, AOKP, and PA roms, those she be up and running soon enough! Actually CM is in beta as well now!

Do it! Takes like two seconds
Yeah AOSP has none of the exclusive TW features, including but not limited to things like smart stay, air gestures, etc.
The camera has the standard AOSP features, still looks just as good, just missing some of the TW stuff!
SLIMBEAN looks so much better visually though then touch wiz haha, worth it.

I'm a noob to tables but have done many flashes to my phones. My main question is, I'm rooted and ready to flash a ROM to my Nexus 7 but I'm confused about a few things. I'm running firmware 4.3 so do I need to flash a ROM that's made for 4.3? I'm interested in the Carbon ROM but it doesn't state that it for 4.3.
I'm interested in a stable ROM that has a lot of customizing options. Any suggestions?
Thanx in advance for helping out a Noob!

ROM = Firmware
Flashing ROM = Flashing different Firmware
If you flash a 4.2.2 ROM over a 4.3 STOCK ROM, then you will have 4.2.2, and nothing about your device will be 4.3
just to verify, you have the old Nexus 7 right?
Yes, old Nexus 7. Thanx! Now I feel comfortable trying some Roms.

There could be partition issues when you have the wrong one.Like there was with the 4.2 update. If you flash a 4.2 rom onto a 4.1 bootloader your whole data will get moved into another /0 folder

The nested 0 folders was a recovery issue, not a bootloader one. Neither CWM nor TWRP could initially deal with the new multi-user directory structure. Koush and Team Win promptly updated their recoveries to resolve it.

I've been very happy with RasBeanJelly. It has a good cross between features, speed, and light-weight. It tends to be quite stable. I ran it for about 7 months, until I decided that l decided I needed more excitement in my life and jumped to a bleeding edge ROM. Depending on how the new ROM does/does-not develop, I may go back.
Before you go changing ROMs, make sure you are ready. Then make sure you are really ready. After a couple of times you may actually be ready. Look around, and you will find some guides. Here's a good place to start: Flashing Guide. The biggest issue I have had is making sure I have a good BACKUP and RESTORE strategy that works.
Good Luck,
-John
Slimbean 4.3 beta 3 is pretty feature-rich and is a beta in name only...it's been rock solid for me. Get it at www.slimroms.net
Thanx for the ROM suggestions! I been running CyanogenMod Ver 10.2 Unofficial and I like it but now I'm ready to try some more Roms. I've got the hang of flashing stuff again so now I feel comfortable trying some new stuff.

Yes it uses a different Kernel and has some other features.
Download: http://goo.im/devs/succulent/ovation/cyanogenmod/internal/cm_ovation_11.0_07MAR2014_HD.zip
ROM - Thread: http://iamafanof.wordpress.com/2013/12/20/cm11-0-kitkat-android-4-4-2-for-nook-hd-xx-20dec2013/
(ROM - Thread hasn't been updated yet, but the download shows the latest version of that build)
I have been using Succulent's February version since its release. I am currently at 3 weeks and 2 days since I last rebooted my tablet. No issues and no lag. Very happy haven't even been tempted to move to the new March release. Works so well I don't dare mess with it.
I would like to see Miui for our tablet that would be a nice change of pace.

I know, I don' t get why his builds are rock solid and the CM11 Nightlies are very buggy, make my tablet reboot all the time and so on.
The only thing that makes me want to go back to CM10.2 stable is that drmarble released a 8x8 fuzz kernel for that build.
I find the February release to be more responsive than the fuzz kernel. I have an unusual chip set in my tablet that I have only seen one other person mention once so that may be why.
