Farewell and thanks!

Just wanted to give a special thanks to all the developers and the community as I say good bye for awhile. On Sunday I will be leaving for Marine Corps recruit training in San Diego so I will not be able to use my phone. Just wanted to tell all the developers thanks for the awesome work, and I hope to see you when I get back

Thanks! Kind of a shock. I wasn't supposed to ship out for another 2 weeks and my recruiter called me yesterday saying to be ready to ship out On Sunday. I've been scrambling to get everything in order

As for where I am going to be stationed, I'm not sure. I still have recruit training, then MCT, and finally MOS training at 29 palms

Those are pretty broad terms. Search and read xda for ideas. You can do anything you want with this phone.

read and search, if you have more precise questions, use dedicated threads.

ha, yes, one thing: good purchase

Getting it rooted/unlocking the bootloader is a good start. Look up some of the stickies around the forum to do so. There is also a YouTube video by zedomax if you want something clearer.

yep sir im really stoked !!!! been using the desire s for 3 months and though the UI is really great but the battery life is really crappy, i feel it wasnt worth the hassle .
anyway a good purchase indeed!
just got home from a very long trip so im sorry if my reply is delayed...im gonna start rummaging the stickies read all there is to read as per advice rooting is where im gonna start

Jst sayin goodbye and ima truely miss yall! I decided to jump ship seeing some familiar faces in the E4GT forums made it a little easier. Honestly I'm kinda wishing I wouldn't have already bought the phone cause they're community is nothing like ours and I can tell that by jst looking....smh. Well Thank You to ALL the Devs, Testers, Themers etc y'all made this community LIVE when others predicted our death. Prob won't miss me cause I didn't contribute anything but my opinions and money *tear tear* ima miss y'all man real talk.

So far I've only come across Maddoggin, J.C (John Corleone), musclehead84, think I saw k0nane name round there somewhere and of course QBking but he's everywhere puttin in work nowadays lol. Wish some of our Devs would come help out cause their ROMs are nowhere near as developed as ours true story. Thanks tho orlzzt this forum taught me more than a little bit.

Well its about that time now to say goodbye and have fun! I've moved on to a sgs3 i747 I still got my play but I barely ever use the thing its just too slow and after playing with this new beauty I can't even be bothered to pick it up! But anyway its been a good ride and thanks to all the devs for making it what it is today it was greatly appreciated. And I can already tell there are gonna be haters about this but I could care less I'm just saying thanks for everything! All the haters are just immature a$$hole$ and can go back into their moms basement till they grow up. Peace out!

I don`t get it, I too have a SGS3, yes I like it a lot, but I still wouldn`t part with my Play, it always stands firmly at my side.
