Alot of people here well miss him. Alot will be happy he's gone. I just see this thread going down hill cause he's probally the most understood individual on these forums with his un orthodox ways

I for one, will miss him. He helped me tremendously with my theming. I hope he makes his return when everything settles down

Dreamsforgotten, last I talked to k0nane personally on the night of the ACS/INC start he told me Dreams was knee deep in smali code (theming) for the Nexus 4g..
So we definitely have a lot of important pieces missing to the big Epic 4g puzzle... I sure hope one day they all come back so we can finish this picture.
We still have some great themers and developers, plus many new in the last month or so up and comers that have made a great impact on the scene so we are going to all have to pull together and do the best with who/what we have. Everything will be fine.
Now more than ever everyone needs to work together, hand in hand and share to make future GB and the last of EC05 development the best it can be for the Epic 4g.

I'm working with jez2cool on aosp 2.3.4 on the epic, were coming along got a booted version but some software permissions and kernel code to work out. Anyone else who would like to contribute is more than welcome

I will be getting my 3vo tomorrow and so, as it is my last day as a proud EVO owner, I would like to say thank you, to this community and all the developers that made my phone amazing. This has been an awesome year and I couldn't be more grateful for all of you guys and your efforts.

I think its a combonation of money and familial problems. Probably realized that the phone was taking too much time. He'll probably sell it no matter what.

The economy is pissing me off. I have a lot of friends who have had to give up hobbies or other things they enjoy in order to make ends meet. Everyone needs an outlet from everyday life to be creative or to enjoy. And now another creative mind joins that list. God speed to Mystery and his family. Hopefully he will be back at some point. Epics won't be the same without new Frozen roms.

Props 2 The Devs

I just wanted to thank the devs for their time and hard work,i hope i'm not outta place for saying this,but oh well,i think it needs to be said.
I want to personally thank all the devs that put their time,dedication and hard work to use for the XDA community,just like the rest of us,devs have jobs and families besides doing this for us for free,you know most of their ole ladies ***** and raise hell with them,when all they are trying to do is give to the community,so this is just one of the headaches they go through,so come on guys and try to give more appreciation towards the devs,don't be afraid to say thanks and give these guys some props that they well deserve.Trust me,i'm sure theres a few of us that have tried to develope a rom and failed miserably because its probably the most time staking,tedious job you can do and takes alot of concentration and devotion.I think it takes a great person to do all that for us.Again thanks guys for your hard work to keep us going.

Definitely agree with this thread! I'm just starting out trying to learn to dev, and mine eyes have been opened. My level of appreciation has grown exponentially the more I learn. Hat's off to all our great devs here in the EVO forum, and all xda. Thanks to the OP as well for recognizing what these guys do. It's tiring seeing the posts and threads of whiners and trolls that have no appreciation.

It is most definitely hard work I have been working on my rom since about 2 weeks before Christmas and still haven't gotten it ready for a release yet, I think I have put an average of 20+ hours a week into it and it still continues to grow, I'm no noob to coding either and it is still a challenge even with my extensive background with Linux and yes my wife *****es that if my phone had a vagina I'd divorce her and marry it almost every day as a matter of fact she's nagging as I type this

A little known fact is that there are a lot of DEVs out there on this site that will take the time with someone new to all this and explain what to do and how to do it, if you approach them in a respectful way.....and that's rare!!!!!! considering some of the sites I've been on... Time to break my addiction

Well, I haven't actually had the Epic for 6 months now, though I still have 2 of them on my account. With my GS3 getting delivered tomorrow, I think its time to break my Epic4G thread addiction and say goodbye.
I want to say thanks to everyone here for a good couple of years. I made many good friends from this forum, learned a ton, and tried to pass on much of it to the group of themers that came after me.
I know that I will see many of you in the GS3 forums in the next few months, so until then, unless my daughter or ex f up their epics and I need help.

I know I am thankful for what you have given. You will and have been missed.

My gs3 comes in....and I can't stand no keyboard....
So 2 weeks after having it....our badass cm maintainers integrate linarosomeness and make our epic....even more epic....with speeds that surpass anything by using....um....quarks and gluons...yah....so I just have to come back and use shanes blue theme....because well ya its the best....

How about...all former OG Epic users who go to SG3 can simply post roms, themes, mods, and LeBron King photos over here in the Epic forums. There can be some kind of "code" used so we can differentiate between Epic threads and non-Epic (non Epic can have a suffix like "NE"- so we can have Peoples Rom NE, RandomRom NE, etc). Kenny, as FNM, can watch over to make sure no non-Epicureans get in (like the burly guy that stands at the velvet rope and let's the hotties into the nightclub). It will be like a "secret society" of old Epic users, complete with crest that can be used as splashscreen animation...
Shane, your contributions to the Epic were, truly, Epic. Thank you for your creativity and time! See you on the other side...
