Hi everyone,
I wonder if I can replace my TFT touchscreen with a new TFT CAPACITIVE touchscreen, by changing digitizer or something else.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance.
Yes it possible. I easily changed my LCD screen two months ago.
check pm. I can't post any links.

You can find them at cnn.cn
I'm thinking he's asking for the actual AMOLED panel as a replacement part or something. Maybe he has a dead pixel and wants to replace the panel?
oh, i thought he didn't like the amoled display, and wanted to replace it with an LCD

Bahaha, I actually laughed out loud.
Using Touch Test, I have found that after a certain point the edges of the screen are no longer detect touch. The screenshot explains it. It also happens at the top but the ad was in the way. Should I return and get a replacement? I also have the GPS issue.
Hey.
I have the same problem.
When using some different multi touch testers, i have noticed that there is no touch in the range 10-15 pixels from either of the edges.

I think that mayby all galaxy s is having this issue but it seems to be a software 'error' as the first 10 pixels at either side is untouchable. But i would not call it normal as the pixels is needed at some points. I have contacted samsung in my country about it and is currently waiting for there reply
i have just recieved an email from them where they say i should contact my dealer. I dont know why i should do that as it is samsungs fault.

Same here on captivate.
From a phone on an app
The Touch screen is non responsive and it has a lot of resolutions colors different in boxes and their are symmetrical and asymmetrical lines on it in different colors.....
Is it the digitizer that cracked or? Something else? How do I replace it?
Thank You
theOutcast it seem that if it crack or not you still need to replace the digitizer. Having alot of different color theres no fix. but i could be wrong. Can you post a pic.

Yup. See the pink line running along the right side of the display? Thst with the washed out colors mean the lcd is junk, and needs to be replaced.
Thats probably why you got such a good deal on it.

Hi everybody.
I just broke my phone yesterday and I am looking for some nice quality brand new LCD Display for Essential.
Is anyone here with a screen that has already been changed? I want to know does the new screen provide the same resolution size like is normal for our Display ( I mean 1312x2560ppi) or it is less?
CPU-Z is a good program to see that.
Thanks.

Take a look here:

Based on my experience. The post has a link to my review of the display I bought on Amazon. Yes, it has the proper resolution, and works just as well as the original.
As always, YMMV...
i got this one and it works well:

Frankly, no idea, but I think yes... I don't see a lot of prints/smudges on the screen, it stays very clean. Feels very smooth to the touch - better feeling than the screen on my SGS7.
Also don't know if it's real Gorilla Glass (ppl on Amazon were asking). So far, not a single scratch.

Check, please. put a drop of water on the screen and look
I replaced screen on wife's phone with this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07CLNDBZS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_pd_title it appears to work and look the same when comparing it side by side with my phone with original screen

Looks like it is oleophobic... The water drop doesn't spread on the glass, and when I tilt the phone and shake it a bit, the drop rolls on the screen intact, without leaving a trail.
