Archos 35 Internet Tablet - Gen8 General

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying an archos 35 IT
I want an mp3 player with some casual gaming (angry birds, Jewelle's, cut the rope, Defender, temple run, board games, etc).
Could not find a decent review about it.
I have some questions about it:
1 .Is the screen capacitive?
2. Is it a good mp3 player?
3. Does it have a Google play?
4. How does games work on it - will it be able to play at least the above games?
Thanks In Advance.
Arik.

I have a 43, the fatter sister of the 35.
The screen is resistive on the smaller ones.
It works well for the occasional playback. I almost never play music though.
You can install it through ArcTools.
Angry Birds Space and NetHack work well. I almost never game though.

playing games on the Mini - don't bother?

I've been looking around the web for some comments on playing games on the XDA II Mini, but can't really find anything. Does that mean the Mini sucks as a gaming device (I know that's not what it's for, but it's at least possible)? The button layout sure doesn't look good for playing games.
Has anybody tried playing NES, SNES, SEGA, Playstation/etc games? Is there a good way for controlling these games?
I tried snes emulator, it went ok, although there a slight delay. i guess NES would work flawless.
There are plenty of good native to the windows mobile platform games for the pocket pc and I am sure the majority of them runs easily on mini since there is a 416MHz processor. So you ll better look a bit more and try to find them! I love Monopoly and Age of Empires but also Sky Force and Worms!
I don't actually own a XDA  I'm considering buying one, and the gaming aspect of PDA's appeals to me. I'm sure there are some very fun native Pocket PC games, but playing good console games on an emulator is much fun too If I could play games like Sonic and Mario on the Mini on the go, that would be awesome.
About that (or any) SNES emulator: SNES games usually have at least for buttons for controlling the game. Can these buttons easily be set on the Mini? Or is playing with onscreen buttons a drag?
Thanks for the replies so far, really appreciated!
i play everyday on my Jam instead of my PC!
i'm addicted to Worms and can't stop playing it...
Anyway i tried AOE and it's good too. The only games that i don't like on the Jam are those where u drive since it's quite hard to control your car with the standard keypad
free good basic games, classics
Can i find the WORMS game for free ?? and does it support 2 player mode ?
im searching for good free basic games, not lite the viking saga, or world of empire, just fun easy games that u dont get sick and tired of in 2 min..
anyone ?

games are no good while using the lapdock

i have yet to find a game that can be played properly on the lapdock. kind of sucks i was looking foward to playing games on a bigger screen ...
Not surprising considering many games don't run at tablet resolutions either. While the laptop dock is a nice idea it does not account (well) for the fact that most android software is written for phones and phone size screens. On top of that I think the laptop dock is clearly aimed at the productivity market, so game compatibility is likely just an afterthought if it was considered at all.
been playing games on the multimedia dock on an HDTV, and most play just fine for me. angry birds is flawless, and SNESoid plays smooth.
Actually SNESois on the TV with a Wii controller is awesome.

[Q] Fallout New Vegas/Splashtop THD help?

Today I got ''Splashtop THD'' for my ASUS Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi, 32 gigs, 4.2.2 if any of that helps, it has the latest version of the app''
I had Fallout New Vegas on my PC and I wanted to play it on my tablet, when I played it, I had to use the Nexus as the Keyboard and Mouse and I couldn't see the gameplay on my tablet, it was horrible. I would much rather prefer if my tablet could see the gameplay. I've put the resolution on 1280x720 [Letterbox] and medium graphics, I don't mind decreasing the graphics, I prefer performance and Minecraft is VERY SLOW on the tablet when the PC can play it perfectly on 140fps on all the things max'd out. Please help and give me a step-by-step instructions on how to get them to run at a good framerate. Also put the other game's methods to run on Splashtop THD.
EDIT:
I've got the games to start and work but it is VERY SLOW. I also tried Unreal Tournament 2004, even old games are slow as hell.

What games are you going to play?

for me i cant wait to play openTTD , Plague , psx games etc
what games are you going to play?
Whichever poker game is flavor of the month.
Emulators!
I really hope that this device will support MHL 3.0!
Clash of Clans for sure. It's one of those games that's begging for a hi-res tablet. Should be a HUGE upgrade from playing on my Nexus 5.
I also want to check out that new Sim City Build It game to see how it is. EA touts it as being "optimized for tablets". Lots of 3d buildings on-screen that should take advantage of the Tegra K1 chip.
I think building games in general benefit the most from a good tablet.
smash bros melee + 2 dualshok 3 controllers, connected with bluetooth endless fun!
and afcourse mario card double dash
Going to play with this:
Moga Pro Power
:highfive:
Not really going to play games on it
Maybe TWD S2 since i beat S1 on the 360
I like to play strategy games, business games like transport tycoon, also red alert type games.
got this device for games...
sat on the plane last trip only able to play emulators on my phone... cant wait for the larger screen size and power
as many games as i can fit on it, emulators (game boy, psx, n64, etc)

Multi player /split screen games?

I bought my Nexus Player primarily as an inexpensive game console for me and my 5 year old. I wish more Android games were compatible with Android TV, but my biggest issue is the lack games we can play together. I bought two controllers so we can play together, but except for Beach Buggy Racing, multi player seems to mean online only.
Can anyone recommend relatively simple games that work for multiple players, either split screen or "Sonic and Tails" type games?
Tennis motion cast, tricky titans
And angry birds family are the only ones i know. They are for using screen mirroing or conecting to chromecast. They dont have great graphics but they are multi player

How about one of the emulators out there (N64/Dreamcast), some of those games must be multi-player.

I've found most of the emulators don't support two controllers properly, which is annoying. There are two games that I play with my wife - Sky Force Anniversary (two players on screen at same time), and Beach Buggy Racing.
Another game (single player) I recommend whilst it's on sale is Castle of Illusion. It's a really nice simple platform game, but looks really good.

Mario Kart!
Bombsquad is my kids' favorite. Up to 8 player multiplayer.
Neon Shadow has split screen multiplayer. The OUYA version is oriented properly but doesn't work right on the Nexus Player ($#@$(@!!!), maybe you can figure it out.
Sideloaded games that they also love:
Farrah Rogue: Zero Hour (up to 4 player splitscreen)
Duck Game (up to 4 players)
Meltdown is another.
The OUYA was a failed Android console for gaming, and all games ported to it were intended for multiplayer.

Download this app from Google Play. You can get Farrah Rogue from it, as well as Neon Shadow (if you can get it working right -- it's a FPS) as well as Duck Game. Heroes of Loot, Killing Floor Calamity, Retro Racing, You Don't Know Jack, Ice Rage, Stalagflight, Hidden in Plain Sight... lots of others.
I'm not sure about many of them working for Nexus Player, but I do know some of them are available in Google Play.
Is lego Batman working with 2 gamepads?
