[Q] When Defy briked, what i do?!

Hello everybody ,
I have a Defy and .. is dead ! The RSDLite dont show the device .. and .. i try the instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1618718 .. but no result ..
i cant restore sbf with RSDLite and .. the phone does not leave the screen

Details.. what do you see on screen?. Where are you stuck at?
Is your battery charged??

yeah .. the battery is charged ..
when i turn on .. dont show nothing .. the led is aways off. .. sometimes turn on white .. nothing more ..
in rsdlite .. the phone dont show ..

are u able to go in Boot loader MOD?
press Volume+ key and Power on the phone..
it will go to BL Mod CONNECT PHONE TO PC VIA USB open RSD Lite
then RSD Lite will Recognize your phone
then flash your SBF
1.Download RSD lite v5.3.1 or later version and install it.
2.Download MotoDev USB drivers from here (http://bit.ly/K59zlZ and install it.
3.Turn off your phone
4. Hold down Volume Down and Power button for your phone to enter Stock Recovery.
5. Press both Volume buttons at the same time for the options to appear.
6. Do wipe cache.
7. Do wipe data/factory reset.
8.Take your battery out.
9.Hold Volume Up and Power button and put the battery back in while holding the buttons - your phone will start in Bootloader mode.
10.Connect the phone which is now in the Bootloader mode to the PC.
12. Open RSDLITE which you have installed and select the Downloaded sbf
13.Click "Start"
14. You can see "SW Update in progress" on your phone's screen - the flashing is in process.
15. The flashing process takes around 5 minutes, after which RSD lite will reboot your phone.
16. Wait until RSD lite says "PASS!" and then you're free to disconnect your phone (*if RSD lite doesn't say "PASS!" after 2-3 minutes and your phone has booted up, you're still free to disconnect).
17. Root your phone using Doomlord's script or SuperOneClick.
18. Install SndInit for defy+ from here.http://dl.xda-developers.com/attachd...itDefy_2.3.apk
If you need any more info on how to root or flashing the rom, Please ask and stay away from trouble.

It might won't show up but try this..
Press volume+ & Power button. Even if the screen remains blank, connect it to RsdLite. If it shows up in RsdLite, flash the SBF.
If it doesn't, then unfortunately, its bricked.

Hummm ... bad news .. !!!
When i hold Volume (-) & Power .. the phone dont enter in Stock Recovery screen!
The only thing that happens is: LED lights in WHITE, when I connect to the computer. just it!
what i can do now?!

Did you change the battery with a one that is charged FOR SURE?

same problem last several days and i fixed it:
+remove battery and put it back (make sure battery full charged)
+press power button and volume+ for 5 secs,even the screen still black
+connect to computer,u can see white led and RSD lite will display usb connected
+flash *.sbf
if it doesn't work u can try with another computer or cable

Hey man .. tanks . but ...
When i press Volume+ & Power nothing happen ..
when i conect the phone to computer nothing happen in RSDLite ..
so .. i cant flash a .sbf file ..
and .. i try with other cable .. and .. no response ..
i have a big problem!

When you connect, does it turns White LED on??

when i connect the LED is White .. just it

i have the same problem...
my battery is fully charged...
when i press the power button, it wont turn on... even the led doesnt blink..
when i press the power button + volume up or volume down, nothing happens...
when i try to connect it with RDSLite v5.3.1, it recognizes my defy+...
i tried to flash diffferent stock roms but nothing comes up even the flashing proccess suceeded (PASS)...
my defy+ is still at nothing status...
the last rom i flashed is JORDN_U3_97.21.51.sbf...
HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP US...

Seems your problem is flashing sbf with too low CG version - sbf u mentioned is CG5 Chinese eclair. Depending of what u had before u can install CG6 or CG7 sbf from this site

im currently trying all of the roms listed on the link you gave...
some gave me error Err:A5,69,35,00,27 on bootloader... (seems much better status than before)
some gave me nothing... (just like before - blank screen, no led)
17 more roms to go...

Bricked Defy plz help! =(

hey ppl plz help meh here..i have defy red lens & had a custom rom CM10..everything was workin fine until i install an app called - Font Installer *Root*..it caused bootloops..so i flashed JRDNEM_U3_3.4.3-36-1.7.sbf... (yes i know how to flash via rsd lite and did before also..) but this time..my phone keeps restartin even after gettin back to froyo.. plz help meh..

Have you wiped data and caches before flashing the sbf?

can you get to the bootloader or it is fully bricked?

hey even i did flashed SBF just now .....i done
wipe data/cache
wipe cache
wipe dalvik
wipe bat stats
and after this flashed froyo 2.2.2 SBF .....

Dont worry!
Go to stock recovery(press and hold power+ vol up till the phone boots to stock recovery)
Then you will see an android with triangle. Press vol up and down simultaneously till menu comes. Wipe data and cache. Reboot.
Ps- even after phone shows bootlogo dont let go of power and vol up buttons.

yes when those bootloops started..meh did wiped cache..and flashed through rsd..now it shows the startin screen.. "touch android icon to start" then before even touchin it..fone restats..

Try what i said. I had same problem.

hey but by holdin power + vol up button..it shows bootloader.. which says battery ok.. connect usb..(its for flashin sbf)

Then press wipe data and cache, and everything should work

Thats why power+vol down. To boot into stocn recovery. Stock roms have stock recovery.

Stock recovery is from Stock ROM. Hence the word Stock in both

>first download stock sbf from here and then download download and open up rsd lite.
>then hold power+volume up and go into bootloader, plug in your phone and install the sbf.
>then when the phone starts up, pull battery out and wait.
>after inserting battery again, hold volume down+power till an android image comes, then press volume buttons up and down.
>wipe data/factory reset!
once its done, reboot.
hope it works!

Do you mean clockworkmod? If you're rooted, you can install cwm for Defy.
--Just understood your question. Do you get stuck on M logo when startup? Are you able to enter cwm (press volume button when you see a blue led on startup)? If so then try to clear cache/dalvik.. If that doesn't helps and you still have CM9 zip and kernel zip on sdcard, then flash those. That should get you going. Worse case is you flash a sbf via rsdlite if nothing works.

To flash a SBF you need to hold Vol up & Power button.
You will enter Motorola Bootloader
From there connect your phone to your PC with USB
Open RSD Lite
Load the SBF (Make sure it's the right one for your phone..)
Flash

When you turn on the phone, do you get the blue/green LEDs? If yes, press vol down button at blue led,and you get into clockworkmod menu, and you can reflash your cm 9...

He doesn't have any LED lights, therefore CWM recovery isn't installed. An SBF should be flashed.

[Q] Full Bricked Defy+?

yesterday my defy+ started to freeze and rebooting itself, I was on stock gingerbread. I tried to wipe data/cache on stock recovery but it always freeze. I tried a many times reflash sbf but nothing solves, on one of these attempts rsdlite stuck on 0%, after that the phone wont boot up, only black screen, not even the white led shows up. I can't get to bootloader or recovery...
When I connect the phone without the battery the white led lights momentarily but rsdlite wont detect it. I'm sure there is battery power, last time with rsdlite it was on 50%...
There is any method to revive this phone?

I think you may have flashed a sbf with a number lower than stock. Unplug the phone and pull the battery. Whilst plugging battery back in hold the volume+ and power key then flash a SBF from a later time.

The problem is that I cant in bootloader mode, the phone is just dead and dont react... any ideas?

Dont work
On PC the white led appears and if I press the power button I can hear Windows detecting it, but a second after it disconects...
More ideas?

When you say RSD Lite was at 0%, did it get unplugged when it got to the flashing part where it says "sw update in progress" on bootloader screen? If so I think its toast.

Yes, thats whats happened. There is no way to save it?

When I connect the phone on PC a white led appear and if a press power button, I can see it connecting on Rsdlite for 1 second then desconnects.

Hi all, i have problem Wtih Motorola MB525 bricked . be for work well version 2.2.2, but ​confusion flashing MB526 firmware version 2.3.6 work with my Mb525 but problem Camera . and i try flashing old MB525 firmwares but no luck after flashing dead only light blang lcd. and i try flashing MB526 firmwares after flashing logo only ??????? hell me

Now you cannot go back to anything lower than 2.3.6. Flash any 2ndboot ROM like MS2Ginger, CM10.x or Walter's CM9 build.

I think you will see that you have to flash the sometging like defy bl.7 rooted sbf and you can go on with custom roms or can go a way that walter instruced us to go like downgrade from gingerbreed ti froyo.....

Switch off the phone. Then press volume down button and then power button. Then a black screen with exclamation mark will appear. Press both volume down and volume up button. Switch off your phone. Take out your battery and wait for 5 minutes. When you put the battery back in the phone the logo should not come. Then first press volume down the power button (keep holding them both till a black screen with ! mark comes).
