How to fix the bug on the signal on the status bar,
Coz its not changing,
I can't determine whether my phone has a signal or not .
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium
you mean it the signal satus does not change and when connected to net shows 3 bars continously
have u tries 14 status bar or any other status bar to replace the default
Try this theme. Thats the only fix I know of as of now. Looks better than the un-themed version.

Anyone find any good morphs for our phone besides the Evo Blackbar? I was hoping some of the standalone apk morphs (facebook, genie widget, etc) for the Nexus would work, however the few I tried did not. I want some transparent widgets!
I did some transparent widgets... Im not sure if they work... I flashed a framework.res that soft bricked my phone.. so now I'm on ms_gurus prerelease rom and can't test but I'm doing some work...
I got a mario theme ported.. clear widgets and black search.. And started a black and red theme.. Any other request? I can't change the white text in the status bar yet.. So clear/white status looks funny...

I think a transparent status bar would be nice. As well as the official twitter and fb widgets themed. Im just surprised at the lack of theming tweaks so far, and yes i know i could make some myself, but i cant really afford to use my phone as a testing device.
Yeah and take it from me... Changing the status bar or anything in the framework its a bad idea... My vanilla bar works and has the h symbol but the clear one locks up... I think its the background on tw.. Couldn't make the launcher clear either, tw still I guess..
The clock widget was no problem but I use adw so I don't get the tw widgets..

I know they're the same thing but just for the sake of things how could I change the Ev icon to say 3g in a 2.1 sense Rom?
Sent from my HTC Eris using XDA App
I'm no expert on the matter but i bet you could find the 3G icon and name it the same as the EV icon and replace the file

On a Sense-based ROM, check in com.htc.resources.apk, the icons you're looking for are in res/drawable-mdpi. There's a set of .png's that end with _3g, and a set that end with _evdo. I just copied the 3g icons and renamed them to _evdo, so that both the _3g and _evdo icons are the same. Should fix the status bar.

Is there a mod I can flash to remove the clock on the status bar. Most people have widgets and I just don't even seem the point of it being on the status bar anymore.
And I know its called something else than a status bar. Having a brain fart haha
Thanks in advance

I can understand that, but on amoled displays it's nice to at least have the option to disable it. I'm already experiencing (slight) burn in. Download screen test from the market, make the screen either all white or all blue and you'll probably see it on yours too. Technically it's burn out not burn in (the blue sub pixels burn out first) but it looks the same.
Certainly not a big deal but I'm a video engineer so it bugs me more

I am all about options. Something I like, may not be liked by others, and vice versa. I wish the majority of the phone stuff had options for that exact reason.

Dl the latest Bonsai and it will go poof!

I wish I could put the time back somehow on Bonsai. I use it all the time. Now I have to lock my phone to see the time. Yes I know I could use a widget or another program but the stock is better...no overhead..and just there.
I too also use the clock on the status bar annoying that it is now gone in bansai:-( I am going to try to get it back

I use the Launcher Pro that lets me hide the notification bar whenever is not needed. It actually saves the screen from burn "out".
I wish the notification bar only is shown when something is new or a warning otherwise it's just a wasted real estate on the screen.

looking for a zip file that would change the status bar solid black.just like the telsa coil with out the green or point me to the right direction
thanks in advance

wow help a brotha out
You could try the Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen (Thread in android theming forum) - would involve taking your framwork-res.apk from your phone and uploading it and using the options to make the status bar matte or solid black.
Otherwise, maybe try a Sense-based rom, pick a skin that has the solid black status bar, then change over to your launcher of choice (or stay on Sense)
I have never used a sense-less rom, so I can't speak to that.

Tell me which version your running and I can make you an update zip that will give you the all black status bar. It just won't be for about 2 hours till I get to my PC.
