I know they're the same thing but just for the sake of things how could I change the Ev icon to say 3g in a 2.1 sense Rom?

I'm no expert on the matter but i bet you could find the 3G icon and name it the same as the EV icon and replace the file

On a Sense-based ROM, check in com.htc.resources.apk, the icons you're looking for are in res/drawable-mdpi. There's a set of .png's that end with _3g, and a set that end with _evdo. I just copied the 3g icons and renamed them to _evdo, so that both the _3g and _evdo icons are the same. Should fix the status bar.

Thanks for the help guys! Now how do i change the 6 sprint signal bars to four? Renaming it didnt work
Related
OK if anyone is interested I created this theme for LeeDROID but should work on any SENSE rom.
Using latest jar and framework
2 zips to choose, normal battery and battery % mod
-Transparrent Notification
-Transparrent Pull Down (image shows my name at bottom - one in theme is a blank bar tho)
-Full set of Transparent White Icons for the notification bar - including Signal/Clock/Headphones/USB etc...
-White Circle battery (6 parts) or white battery % mod
Im using Launcher Pro with custom icons and the Moded Cyanogen Live Wallpaper
Just Flash from RECOVERY (do a Nandroid first to be safe)
Note.
That I have deleted the Sense Lockscreen in my rom (This is not included so will remain as whatever you have now. If you want to remove the SENSE Lockscreen let me know and i will create a ZIP for it)
Font Changer was used for my system Font

Morning
The first zip is the one shown in my images first post (has 6 segment battery)
The second zip is exactly the same but uses the MOD battery (100% number count down) White circle battery
This looks really nice man, I would appreciate a zip with your lockscreen, that vanilla one is just simply better looking. Any chance of this?
But, at the moment, I'm running supervillain rom, no sense, will it work?

Any idea why the bar is solid black when sitting on home but turns translucent when using any app? I'd like it to be translucent all the time.I'm using rooted stock rom.
It's solid black because I'm using a black background on my homescreen, it is transparent, if I had a white background, the status bar would be lighter coloured

Great work, I can't seem to add anything to the list . Maybe you can add the miui music player or some other music players, like ttpod or something. That's all I can think of
Cheers

You could just make an update.zip with the utilites like -gapps, adfree etc which could be flash on stock CM7. (Personal Opinion) But at the end it's your choice. Make sure to have something different.
I want to make some changes to the framework and settings etc so I dont just wanna do an update zip. Im also considering actually using AOSP as its much cleaner as a base rom. also the theme is going to be heavily embedded throughout the rom so its really going to have its own look and feel (Hopefully)
The same way people know cyanogenmod when they see it, i want people to glance at this (and any other rom i make in the future) and say "thats pandora!"
thanks for the post though
Good luck

actually, it takes only a few hours to make a ROM... but if you're gonna include a theme, then it's gonna take loads of time...!!! anyways, good luck!
Thanks very much!
yeh i want to theme EVERY stock app if possible so could be quite time consuming
I think tto change the icons of apps you will need to decompile the apk, exchange the icon and then compile and sign it again. Its not as simple as using a launcher and changing icons.

Yeah if you wanna change in-app icons it isn't as easy as changing the launcher icon. But the hard part it to find an icon to replace it...

@Ava.tar Good luck dude, AOSP based is a good choice Make something different
yeh i am going to change the png's in the ldpi/mdpi folders but i also want to mod a launcher that can do it from screen. like adw launcher you can change the icons by long pressing on the dock. im wondering if there is a launcher that allows customisation of ALL app icons, not just the dock ones.... i dont think it exists though and i dont know enough about it to make one myself..
my theme is black yellow and light grey at the moment and im probably going to use honeycomb/yellow style icons for first release.
on the subject, im trying to strip down the rom and get rid of the cyanogen-y feel thats all over it. does anyone have a settings.apk for GB that still has all the function without Cyanogen. ie. 9lock mod picker, notification colour changer etc? or am i going to have to make it my self?
does anyone have the AOSP zip... i had one but it didnt work. stuck on boot logo EVERYTIME. id prefer to build from AOSP but at the moment i just cant seem to get it working...
HELP!!!
can someone help me please. Im trying to change the colour of the notification icons (battery, signal etc) Im assuming there is an xml file somewhere with the colour info... anyone know where?

Nah, there isn't an xml file. You must replace the icons;p You can find it in drawable mdpi & ldpi folders. I dont remember exactly the names but you will see them.
