I'm not attached to any Google Apps and it seems to me that getting Play (Market) installed on the Nook is a bit of a pain.
Moreover, Google goes out of the way to make it difficult.
The Amazon Appstore gives you a URL to just download their store app.

Isn't Amazon a better place to go for apps? Your opinion?
Afaik, amazon apps only can be downloaded from few countries, such as usa, canada, australia etc. It is not active on my country, so its not an option..
It's just another app store; there's several others. The only differences I've seen are 1) some apps get updated faster on the Play store; and 2) your purchases are not backed up to your google account so when you set up a new device you have to go to the amazon app store and find/download the apps you want individually.
There are a number of apps I use that aren't on Amazon; the Market is the only source.
I'll just add that some of the apps that you get off Amazon, including free ones,
require you to keep the Amazon Appstore on your device to run them.
This may not be an issue for some, but if you use logcat,
continuous 1/2 page burps of complete nonsense out of the Appstore application in the logcat is a distraction.

Wondering if any of you guys can help with this. I'm in the USAF stationed overseas. I had a friend coming TDY here bring a Nexus 7 over with him for me. I absolutely love this tablet, but the region restrictions are causing me tons of headaches. I can finally get the Market to show me music, books, and movies when using an American VPN and then clearing market data/cache and force stopping it, but other issues still continue to nag me.
For one, I never received my $25 Google Play credit. This is really just an annoyance, I've put an email in to Google about it but it's not a deal breaker if I never get it. Also, was the pre-loaded content supposed to be installed from the start? I don't have any of that content on my device (example: Transformers movie, etc.)
The main issue is getting around region restrictions for apps. Perfect example of this is the Google Play Books app. If I go to the store page in the Play Store, I can bring it up, but there's no Install, Open, or Uninstall buttons listed. If I go to the Apps settings page, it's listed there. But it's not listed in my App drawer, and if I add the Library widget to a homescreen and try to set it up, it just points me to the store page that I can't do anything on. If I try to install it from the Play store from my desktop PC...it says Installed there, but errors out saying the application already exists.
Is there any way to get around this? I mean, ****, I'm trying to be a legitimate customer here. I'm American FFS. With South Korea's complete non-enforcement of copyright laws, I'm starting to wonder why I even bother.

My US-brought Nexus 7 was previously configured in the States. It comes with apps of Book and Magazine. I also brought some books and mags (paid $). They are all read fine in US. Then I traveled out of US, and did unlock and root for N7. Now I could not find the app icons for Book and Magazine to launch, although I can find the relative apk files under system/app/. I even use my computer with us-based VPN to login to my Google Play store and get a new book, but it's not download into my N7 (whereas I can use the same method to get app from Google Play).
My questions: 1) How to get back those icons for Book and Magazine? 2) How to download the books and magazines (I paid and downloaded previously) into my N7? It seems Google Play can only let you view those books online. I am waiting for any resources for the right direction. Thank you all in advance. [I am still outside US]
AppMonster Pro.
This app rips the APK and OBB/Data from apps installed on other devices. Anyone have access to a MOJO, AppMonster, and a device they can actually download games onto? If so, could you test if this method works? I've purchased too many games and am very impressed with the MOJO's hardware and controller...I'd hate to give up if there is a way to pull my purchases off other devices without resorting to "finding" the apk online.
EDIT: The reason I ask is because I don't want to spend more money on an app to test a theory....So if someone -already- has AppMonster...Yeah...
I never tried appMonster but I used "Apk Share" to get my games off of my Coby device. Some games might not play if they didn't come from the Google store. Mines came from Amazon so of course I had to download the Amazon app, log in and verify the device. I also used Aptoide to install games I bought from the Google play store.
Hello
maybe some of you heard about multimedia systems in Israel that block "Play Store" so I decided for all my customers to change for them rom's so im searching basic rom that can work with all MTCB's without lagging and some crashes and fully working with wheel controllers
and 1 more question how i can copy the current rom from any MTCB's without the option to download from Play store cuz its blocked
you know there are alternatives like F-droid, Aptoide, Apkmirror, Amazon appstore and more?
Appbrain is even a 100% copy of Google Ply with almost all Google Play apps (with limitations on paid apps).
F-droid, Aptoide andAppBrain even have their own "app store" app.
Do a search on "Google Play Alternatives"

You need to be much more specific: "about multimedia systems in Israel", "some units", "all my customers", "the cars company".
What is it now?
Which units? "about multimedia systems in Israel" and "some units"
Do you sell them them or are you a customer? "all my customers"
Are they builtin car units ("the cars company") or are they separate units built into your own car?
They are full android systems that come from the factory but the car importers install a bootloader with only the apps that they want you to have, without play store or a browser...the only access we have is via usb...this means that we need a bootable usb file to earase the bootloader or factory reset the system...thank you.
Can Amazon Services be installed on an Android phone (Huawei P40 Pro)? I would like to install the amazon mobile services framework to enable Amazon Device Messaging for some apps that you ADM.
I was hoping there are apks that can be installed (similar to the process to install the google services framework).
If you have an Amazon Fire then chances are I (Or somebody else) could make a Windows app to copy the APK's over to another phone. Root access might be required. I'm not sure. Or you could just download the Amazon App Store and most of the apps will be available there. However, some apps are exclusive to Amazon Fire tablets. And a lot of the ones that aren't are slightly modified for the tablet. It just depends on what you want. There's also quite a few Amazon apps in Google Play, but I'm pretty sure Huawei phones don't have Google Play, right?
