Using ADB from the Clockwork-Recovery works. If "adb devices" doesn't show anything, then the drivers aren't installed correctly. In this post you can see that it works http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21022311&postcount=52 . Unfortunately I can't help you with the driver installation, as I am only using Linux.

[Q] I'm soft bricked. Need a SIM card reader?

My LG G2 D800 is stuck in (TWRP) recovery. I don't have a ROM backup. The rom I was going to load on my sdcard is bad. How can I get a new rom on there?
I assume if I had a phone sim reader/writer I could do it. Don't think they exist. Any ideas how to accomplish this? Thanks all!
(Cant use ADB since phone is in recovery mode)

Thanks for the help. When I go to "advanced". I start adb sideload. I then plug my usb cord into pc. I bring up a cmd prompt. when I type adb devices it doesn't find it. Is there a special driver or gif needed for sideload?
Before I bricked this I had ADB sdk working just fine.

[Q] Formatted /data, no ROM. adb sideload device not found

I installed the Google USB driver from sdk manager but when I go into recovery, device manager shows it as "Full JellyBean on Mako" with a yellow thing beside it.
I cant do adb sideload because it says my device is not found...

There will be problems as some are mentioning in the other thread. You need TWRP to make it installed properly.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but you can (adb) sideload rom and other addons in TWRP without using touch screen.

Any help please? i dont know how to flash without touchign the screen, thanks
You can download wug toolkit and install it in your PC. Simple gui that just need you to select the operation that you want.
Adb sideload is included hence you just need to select the TWRP image and it will do all the process.
The required drivers also will be installed automatically if you select the option.
Hope this help. Good luck.

hi, thank you for the reply, do you know what are the commands or how do i work with it? i have never used ADB manually only flashed through TWRP / wugfresh toolkit.
another question: the "adb sideload" is an option in twrp, and in order to get into it i have to swipe right the screen (which i cant because it doenst responding) any other way to do it? thanks
If you manage to get ADB working (Nexus-tools on Mac, Minimal ADB and Fastboot on Windows), there is a little-known utility included in TWRP that allows you to send keyboard commands as mouse movements inside TWRP.
Connect to TWRP via ADB: in Terminal / Command prompt, run adb shell
Then run the command 'mouse'
BTW, in mouse mode you don't 'swipe' to install, you just need to click on it with the mouse.
The real question here is, if the unresponsive area is so big, how are you planning to use the device ?

Ok. You got lucky, then. Others get the whole bottom part of the phone dead.

Need help - Can't connect by ADB

I just got a new grey LeMax2 X822 with 16S stock rom. I have enabled USB debugging and bootloader unlocking, enabled MTP device when plugged, I can see it as "Le Max2" MTP and can browse internal storage. I've tried different android adb drivers and two computers (win10 and win7). There is no yellow question mark, and device is recognized as "Le Max2" on win10 and "Android ADB" on Win7. However when i run cmd and type "adb devices" the list is empty, and when I type "adb usb" - I get "device not found". I've tried everything I could think of. What's the problem?
I want to install CWM recovery and a rom. But I can't! Please help, I don't know what else to try.
Update: updated to stock 20S via stock recovery. "Fastboot devices" works and I was able to install TWRP with "fastboot recovery twrp.img" command. So I guess I will try to flash the custom ROM now... ADB still doesn't work.

Yes, I remember doing that.
Dial UP *#*#76937#*#*
Try dialing *#*#76937#*#* and enable AT port, this worked for me!

OK, problem somehow solved. As I had fastboot command access I flashed CWM recovery. After I've done that and booted to recovery, and connected to PC, there was a unknown MTP device in device manager with yellow exclamation mark, as if there is no drivers. However "adb devices" suddenly returned "device code - recovery". So I pulled full CWM backup to PC and was able to flash madsurfer's 20S ROM. So far so good. Will test how it works...

Excellent Post!
Worked a treat for me
Just to note, you need to do this after a reboot too....well I did after flashing recovery and rebooting.

Had this issue on my just received Le Max 2, and this did it. Thanks a lot.

system deleted, TWRP ready

Hello,
i delete the System and Data on my LeEco Le Pro3.
TWRP is installed.
Can i flash a rom with an usb flash drive in TWRP or fastboot?
greeting gizez
Boot into TWRP and use MTP to transfer ROM file from your PC to Phone. Then flash the ROM.
I have this problem, but I can't see the phone when connected to a PC. adb sideload doesn't work (adb devices doesn't find anything). Do I need to install driver for the phone? I originally used fastboot to unlock the bootloader and flashed TWRP, then installed LineageOS and gapps just fine. I then proceeded to wipe system in TWRP (I was trying to get back to new phone setup so I can transfer stuff from old phone, which I skipped the first time).
Any idea how to get around this? I tried plugging in pen drive through an micro USB OTG and a usb-c to micro usb adapter, but it's not recognized in TWRP, either. Would very much appreciate any help!
You can get your data. First try to connect phone while is in TWRP. Your phone can be detected as file manager. Try this.
If not, check my theme;

Go Advanced -> ADB Sideload, type "adb sideload aicp_zl1_n-12.1-NIGHTLY-20170516.zip" (zip of OS should be downloaded and put into "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" installation folder with name as same as the text of command). It should let you turn on system.

Also "adb push" command can be helpful. Sometimes phone is not current on adb devices list, but you can also try. As i remember, target should be /sdcard/0

Thanks, but unfortunately no luck. Both adb sideload and adb push said error - device '(null)' not found. It seems like the PC is not recognizing the phone. I checked device manager on the PC, it showed LEX727. I right-click and had it install the driver. It says driver successfully installed. Then device manager showed MTP device with a !. I again tried having driver installed, but this time it doesn't find any driver.
I'm at my wit's end... Any more suggestion?
TWRP and/or Minimal ADB isn't trouble here? Tried you both on main menu of TWRP and in ADB Sideload mode? You can also try do it trough bootloader, for this check my link and read all.

Actually, the problem is solved, by using another PC. This one showed LEX727 in windows explorer as soon as i plug in the phonr (in twrp). I was able to drag and drop the zip files to the phone and go on my merry way. Now back in business!
