Hey guys, just an FYI-
Giveawayoftheday.com is featuring the above listed download for 17 more hours. This is NOT warez, as multiple companies allow free downloads for a 24 hour period. My advice is to download and activate this software FAST, as there are only about 17 more hours (as of this posting) to activate it. I've found PPM 9.0 to be very easy to use while partitioning, repartitioning, and formatting my card.
It's quicker than typing it all in console

There's also a link for 64bit system users on that page. Happy downloading.

if im not mistaken auto partition like this (PARAGON) sometimes makes some issues when flashing, they said manual partitioning still better,

I second that. PM 10 is awesome for PCs, but I wouldn't use it to partition my G1. There are partitioning tools built right into the latest Cyanogen's recovery image, and scripts around it to make it easier to use.
Helpfull for noobs.. Nice find.. WIll this work for the G1? The trial ones would only partition your local drives C:\
cheers
partition manager provides an easy way for the windows user to create the correct paritions in the correct order on any sd card so is valuable in this instance.
also aside from that its brilliant if you want to move a complete operating system to a new drive, it does this with vista and the machine wont even ask for reactivation.
anyways thats way off topic...
its definately worth using instead of Gparted if you havnt got a linux based setup.
PEACE. THANX.

It's funny how things work differently for everyone. I'm running Vista x86 and never had issues partitioning my SD card on my g1. Anyhow, some may find it useful.
Just downloaded and saved I'd rather use cyanogen's recovery image though
Thank you Sr. I do find it useful .. I have always used Paragon to partition my G1 with no problems at all..
awesome man. thanks for that site. after going through some of the stuff they have given away, im gonna check it daily now. Yesterday was driver magician
Thanks for the tip! Paragon Partition Manager is the best partition software I've ever used!
real men use the parted cli
Thanks for the software, but I honestly don't like it. I prefer just booting into linux to use GParted or popping in a GParted Live USB stick

Trust me, I do the same. I keep it bookmarked in my cell and on my PC
Just to let you guys know what has happened to me in the past with paragon. I was able to use it and was very simple but 2 times out of the 3 or 4 months I used it something went wrong with the partitioning which caused my pc to crash. Thus leaving me to reinstall the OS all over again. Good thing I kept everything backed up though.
Thanks for the find, unfortunately im downloading at 15kb/s. I feel like im using aol from 95
This distro was created with all the tools needed for android development. After you install this os, you're ready to start developing for Android.
GreenRom Dev Kt is now available. It has Android SDK/NDK, Eclipse, ADB(from any location!), ThemerStudio, all required dependencies for compiling roms, repo init for pulling source code from github, and Gimp for theming/editing graphics.
Q:Why is this important?
A:Because all you need to do is install this OS, plug in your phone, and begin having fun as you dev. There's no need to try and download and install ANYTHING for Android development because it's all been done for you. Do you need to run ADB Logcat? Go ahead. Now there's no need to make sure you're in a certain directory because you can run ADB from anywhere.
Some common questions might be:
Q:Do I have to install GRPdevkit to my HDD?
A:No, you can run it from live mode and store your progress on a pen drive. Alternately, you can install it on a pen/usb drive and run it from that if your bios detects usb drives.
Q:Will I be able to install this alongside another OS?
A:Possibly, although LivLogik and I haven't had any luck with dual booting this nor Ubuntu.
Q:Will this screw up my computer?
A:As with any Linux OS that's experimental, the possibility is there, although LivLogik and I have been testing this OS extensively to ensure all the bugs have been work out before making it available to you. Nevertheless, we are in no way responsible for your actions!
Q:What if I don't want to dev and just want to use this for an every day system?
A:That's quite fine as this OS is built from Linux Mint 11 and has all the stuff you probably use such as Brasero, X-Chat, Transmission, Libre Office, Movie Player, Calculator, Pidgin, G-Thumb, and much more!
Q:What if I can't burn an installation disk?
A:As with the majority of mainstream Linux Distros, we will be offering an installation disk for a small fee + s&h. LivLogik and I have to come up with a design for the cd decal as I have access to a cd printer. We will post the availability when we come up with it.
Q:How do I use the tools that are in this?
A:There is a get started guide on the desktop that you can move to your home folder or delete that explains briefly how to use the tools, however, I didn't include instructions on Eclipse as I've never used it. For Eclipse just go to it's website here: http://eclipsetutorial.sourceforge.net/totalbeginner.html and learn how to use it. Eclipse is used to make programs for Android.
LivLogik will be making a video so that you can see it in action. Enjoy!!
Note: you may need to right click on the desktop and change the wallpaper mode setting from zoom to whatever fits your screen best. -Fixed in update
**EDIT** if you have problems signing in to gtalk on the messanger... go to software manager and in the search box type in gtalk and download that plugin and it should work and if you have problems with anymore accounts like facebook do the same and it should work fine -Fixed in update

how was the download speed? The server will be getting a make-over tomorrow and should beef up the download speed.
I'm assuming I can make this into a persistent usb and take it anywhere and work on it? Regardless I'm going to give it a shot.
DL started at 700 and dropped 1kB/s every 2 seconds continuously, then dropped out. I thought it was an artifact of the averaging done by Google Chrome; except it was linear, 2 seconds every time.

Dino-mite? Faq said run live and store on usb. Assumption was run live from dvd. Second part of answer was run from usb if BIOS allowed it. That's why I assumed I could run a live usb with a dedicated partition on the same usb. If we didn't have questions then we wouldn't have Devs. But thanx for your input Mr Dynamite.

You should be able to install on a usb pen drive and save your files on a dedicated partition. Just make sure you have enough room on your pen drive. Look here: Link and see the requirements for doing so. I've never actually installed on a pen drive myself but theoretically speaking it's plausible. Let me know if it works out for you.
Will do thanx for the reply. I know how to set up a persistent live distro but some of them are tricky. I like this idea because all I need is the flash drive to do work on any computer.

Actually it is compiling libchromodium.so (forget how it spell), which is 1.2GB in size.
Just let it run for few hours, it will completed eventually.
PS: I'm using VM on Win8.1 4GB, no complain here.
Sent from Windows 98
Yep, it fails again and again on 'libwebviewchromium.so'. The well known 'Error 1' aka not enough RAM.
I recently built a dedicated computer (8Gb + Haswell 3220) just for ROM compiler but have no time to install it properly. Dealing with VMs is not good.
My VM has 4Gb RAM of total 8Gb installed. I know I need 8+ but have to wait till new RAM received.
For now the thread is on hold.
Thanks for all your help.
EDIT: Just for the small experiment I added a 8Gb 'swap' partition to VM and the following build succeeded using no more than 450Mb of it.
I think we need 6 to 8Gb of RAM for good.
Now the question is would it boot and run for good? But we will see...
Ya I did set the swap partition to 8gb... And it will boot nicely.
If it didn't boot, jus replace/delete the media_profiles.xml
Another note, my Bluetooth and hardware decoding /encoding fail... Pls test it on ur system too.

Yes, if you can download the closed source parts from the phone itself. I cannot. Something wrong with switching 'adbd' to 'root'. It switches sort of but locks at the downloading (never finishes).
Currently I'm recompiling with 'DonkeyCoyote'.
'Nightly' build fails to pass boot animation
I downloaded and installed OmniRom Nightly. Not good.
It cannot pass the boot animation. The OMNI BA just loops across different colors for 15 minutes already.
As I remember the same problem I have with any AOSP or CM ROM. I suspect the problem is the boot loader related.
When I installed my first 4.3 ROM it required the latest BL and I flashed it. Should I downgrade now? Which version of BL works for sure and where can I find it?
Thanks.
EDIT: I verified. My Bootloader - MJ5. Is it OK?
EDIT 2: Downgraded to DMF2 and succeeded installing OmniRom Nightly. Testing...
glad that you able to solve the booting prob...
pls update the roms status after u done with your testing

Does Phoenix OS really have a forum on xda?
No, it's an ET - Enhanced Tag

Enhanced Tags (ET) is a tagging system that pulls multiple threads into a single discussion forum. They are used to evalute a device for full forum eligibility and enable easy access to threads for members, as well as add the device to the device search function.

It works almost as a forum, because it appears as one in dynamic search bar, but it's really a pseudo-forum. Of course it also gathers up all Phoenix OS tagged threads under this ET or allows for creating threads with the ET.
Unfortunetly you won't be able to visit Phoenix OS ET via Tapatalk
We need more people and content onboard if we want to get a real exclusive forum.
Not really good then...
Better than it was. We now have a Tag. I can promote better with one. It's kind of what I do! I Still can't add it to my device list yet, though.
At any rate, it's better than a swift kick in the ass!

Are you asking about Phoenix OS for ARM devices? As in the ET disclaimer, these should have threads in the specific device forum, not here. Here we can discuss only software side of Phoenix or hardware but for PC.
Phoenix OS ET Description said:
Phoenix OS Discussion
Phoenix OS, much like Remix OS is designed to run on x86/x64 tablets or larger screen devices with features often found only within desktop OS’s. These features include a comprehensive start menu, fully resizable multi-window support and keyboard shortcut functionality. Phoenix OS provides the desktop UI functionality, with the benefit of access to the vast array of games and applications available to the Android operating system. This discussion forum is intended for threads related to the PC version of Phoenix OS, threads and questions related to device builds should be posted within the allocated device forum.

Thank you for the input.
How can I dual boot with Ubuntu? I had Remix dual booting, but am unable to get Phoenix to do so?
It can be achieved with exact same methods as with Remix. Remix, Android-x86 and Phoenix OS boot all the same way. Each may have a different installer, but all can be installed using one same method.
I'm here just to thank @Ventricle for his work.
I'm now happy with latest Remix OS version but I'm considering Phoenix when it upgrades to Marshmallow.
Does Phoenix OS has a dedicated instant communication channel for the users?
Does Phoenix OS has a dedicated instant communication channel for the users?
Yes! We recently created an official Slack team. Read about it here: [ANNOUNCEMENT]Phoenix OS Slack Team - official communication channel for community
Does Phoenix OS come pre-rooted?
Since release 1.1.0 we can easily toggle root ON/OFF in developer settings.
Can I modify the system files?
Since release 1.1.0 we can modify /system partition freely without any additional modifications - all you need to do is enable root in developer settings.

You can also edit your Grub at time of boot.
It will usually tell you to "edit grub highlight the boot option then tap "TAB" key and I have also seen "E" key
This will drop you into a command like screen where you can edit your grub file for a ONE TIME run of the ISO image of choice.

So I've used google cloud for last 2 years. I've now switched to my PC and installed Ubuntu on it as my os. Unfortunately I only have 8 gigs of ram 500 gigs of storage and I'm running a 64 bit machine. The problem however is not compiling as I've done it before. I can also compile gapps, kernels and apps fine , but when I try to sync sources for ROMs be it nougat or Oreo I always get exited due to fetch errors. My WiFi signal is very strong. I can usually download ROM sources in a hour and a half. I'm not Sure what I'm doing wrong cardinal ROM syncs fine but RR validus boulzar ROM to name a few always give error can somebody help I guess I'm staying on cloud for now thanks.
So after hours of researching I think I found a solution . I'm not sure why it's happening like this but I downloaded cardinal sources successfully I also noticed that it had -m with a xml file attached to it so I went to validus sources found same xml file as cardinal and I'm now attempting so sync that all is going well so far so see what happens
So downloaded but was missing certain files which is a bummer I'm stuck again so I'm going to write my machine details hopefully suggestions can be made
Machine. Windows 64 bit os
Switched to Linux 16.04 windows is gone
Ram 8 gigs
Harddrive 500 gigs
Steps taken
Install Java and all other **** needed
Set bash make dir then sync validus sources
Repo sync
I get to frameworks base then it happens
Exited sync to due to fetch errors !!!!!!!!
I hate ur mother I scream I yell I hollar and curse GitHub
Thank you have a good day help !!!!!
Finally got it thanks to Davy annihalation using this sync command wanna thank @Tywinn Lannister as well
time repo sync -j$( nproc --all ) --force-sync -c --no-clone-bundle --no-tags --optimized-fetch --prune
I'm really glad you posted this thread. I set my machine up to sync and then left it be since it takes forever, and i came back to a ton of fetch errors. Haven't had the chance to try the command you posted yet, but I'll give it a go tomorrow.
