Well, that will make the display appear larger but it certainly won't increase resolution. I don't think it's exactly a notebook replacement. You can certainly find smaller magnifiers. I saw a paperback-sized model at B&N recently.
This does sounds a bit like the computers in the movie Brazil:

800x600 is quite fine for A4. Remember old games? Problem is that one does not have mouse support yet

There's a reason I love the Tab's form factor, and this is it. Sexeh.
Those pockets must be ginormous. My Vibrant barely fits in my pockets.
They look like classic's 501 with normal pockets. U must have really small pockets in your jeans.
too big for a day to day phone tho . I find that the SGS's size is a max for a comfy user exp.

What Part do I need to replace? digitizer? lcd? both?

The screen still works and is responsive to the touch but obviously there are lines all over it. Which part do I need to replace?

Hi Biggie,
you need only a new LCD-Modul (60H00300). It´s easy...
Here you find Instuctions: http://mperlitsch.hintergrundbild.com/htc_hd2.htm#Glas
Good Luck,
Michael
P.S. A Shoot into the blue Sky: Is it possible, that you Kill your Display, because you screw the Backcover Holder-Screw to Deep inside your HD2 ? The LCD-Crack is exact on that Position and that (4 Screws) Backcover-Screws are often a Major Problem. When you screw this 4 Bastards to hard, you can "crack your LCD "from behind" easy & fast...?!?!

A500 USB port and ps2 keyboard?

I have a funny setup - love it, actually... I am using a A200 right now and as luck would have it, my 20+ year old buckling spring IBM tank PS2 keyboard works perfectly via the active ps2/usb adapter into the USB port, right out of the box. I haven't seen many tablets with full sized USB ports, but I do see the A500 has it and I assume it should also drive the usb adapter since the A200 does fine. Can anyone confirm that? I dig being able to use my ancient mechanical clicky key keyboard with a newer tab - but would like a little more hot speced tab.

Netflix on Ouya

I got my Ouya today and figured I'd try to put Netflix on it. I have no idea if this has been done, or how easy its supposed to be, but I was semi-successful, so I figured I'd share.
The audio seems hit or miss, and streaming video quality is atrocious. Obviously, the app itself is pretty difficult to navigate via controller.

Subtitles
What about the subtitles?
I have NetFlix in a MK802 III and the size of the font is damn small to be read in the TV, the Ouya have the same problem?

I was thinking that the interface was raw. Still 15 contacts is not really enough for more than 6 vertical pixels per row.
You have two dual winding steppers (4 wires each), that would be 8 contacts if there were no drivers there.
Is the coily cord stuff an optional cutter?
Ohm it out and see if the stepper coils go directly to "CN5".
Or take it apart and look for driver ICs.
