A500 USB port and ps2 keyboard? - Acer Iconia A500

I have a funny setup - love it, actually... I am using a A200 right now and as luck would have it, my 20+ year old buckling spring IBM tank PS2 keyboard works perfectly via the active ps2/usb adapter into the USB port, right out of the box. I haven't seen many tablets with full sized USB ports, but I do see the A500 has it and I assume it should also drive the usb adapter since the A200 does fine. Can anyone confirm that? I dig being able to use my ancient mechanical clicky key keyboard with a newer tab - but would like a little more hot speced tab.

hm..that picture doesn't quite show a connector a flash drive
hmmm....i dont know any software, wich can manage this.
but this is an interresting feature.
with the right drive and an external power supply for it that would make a very cheap "music" drive for someone
nice idea if you can get it to work
If you mean if your mobile can read from a usb flash drive or something like that, that discussion has been here. The conclusion: windows mobile does not support usb drives and because of that it is going to be a hell of a job if it is even possible. A driver has to be written.
it require usbHost to work very few htc pdas support that
Athena does
o2 flame does (it's not htc though)
cant think of any other

[INFO] Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse Test [vid]

first off, sorry for the poor video quality: already invested in a new digicam, but it's coming from japan, so i should have it in a couple weeks
so... i went ahead and tested out the bt mouse and keyboard connectivity on the transformer...
both peripherals simply work and paired without any issues... the scrolling on the mouse is capable throughout the whole ui and most relevant apps such as polaris and dolphin browser... the right click acts as the "back" command as it should...
not much to say about the keyboard besides the fact that since it gets recognized as a keyboard and not just a "generic input device," the sw keyboard gets disabled [just like if you were to pair the device with ASUS' own keyboard dock]...
ps- i searched for "brooms" on amazon :^]

will this work on N7?

https://sites.google.com/site/sonicboomworld/my-projects/otg-and-charging
I know it says it's for xperia play, or something, but the guy said in his thread that it should work for all OTG devices.
I however don't have a usb hub right now, so if anyone with soldering skills wants to try this, let me know if it works.
bump
The potential to brick your device by shorting it out is high with this, someone with balls of steel would need to test it.
basic circuitry looks okay but I don't know if the sony devices do anything funny to allow for this on their official dock, you also may have to experement with different ohm resistors to find the sweet spot for our device.

Transformer TF101 3G mod

hi peeps, ok, So I got the TF101 with the dock, and just got a 3g internet dongle. Now I want to open the dongle and fit it permanently inside the keyboard case.
Now Looking at the pictures from both the dongle and the open keyboard dock, it looks like it should be possible to mount the 3g dongle inside and run 4 wires from the dongle usb connector to the 4 pins on the USB port on the transformer.
Please can someone let me know if this will work or is there more to it??
Please see the ref pics.

I dont see any reason why this wont work...though you may have 1 less usb slot cause this one is dedicated
Keep on going man...

Anyone?
Bump...
Double Bump. Ive read different thread regarding this and people have suggested using different apps. Ive tried all those apps and still to know avail have I gotten my controller to work. I mean think how awesome this would be for the Retro Gaming Community if we can get replica SNES controllers to work with our android devices.
I have an Azpen A1023 and Im running Jellybean. I have a USB OTG adapter and a Generic USB SNES Controller i believe made by Retro Link.
