Never heard superoneclick of creating any such prob! Try wiping cache from stock recovery... Btw were you able to root?? There are few other options you may try if you were able to root. If not then try wiping cache and if that do not work, backup things(only SMS and contacts if not rooted) and do a data wipe!!

But if you use superonelick you don't need any boot menu!! I mean stock boot menu is always already there and custome recovery can be installed only after rooting!! Follow these steps to root:
1.) Enable development. (settings>applications)
2.) Enable install app from outside market(settings>applications)
3.)Install all moto drivers(Let me know if you don't have)
4.) Connect your phone to computer via USB. Keep it ON.
5.)Open superone clcik with admin right
6.) Clcik root!!!!
Now you should be root!

Mmm superoneclick do not could do that, i think is a other problem.
Make a backup with titanium and flash a SBF with rsd lite.
After all, try again root the phone, sure you are doing the correct procedure.

PLEASE HELP ! Phone bricked?

Hey guys.
my phone : E15i , baseband xx015, 2.1.1.A.0.6, rooted, xrecovery 1.1, tried out some custom roms by racht, works perfectly, currently using stock rom.
before rooting, papago! (gps app) works on my phone perfectly,
now, satellite search doesnt work, cannot locate my position, cannot navigate,
so i used xrecovery and did factory reset, format system, wipe cache, (idk what they do, i thought it is just clearing all stuffs in my phone)
now, the phone just stucks at "Sony Ericsson", is it bricked? solutions?
You should not Do "FORMAT SYSTEM".
Now you lost your firmware/Rom from your Phone. So its soft bricked.
Solution: Use PC Companion And open support Zone and repair software.
Or seus you can instal some other Rom,just transfer to you sd card(mount on xrecovery)
Sent from my E15i using XDA App
Yesh! i got my phone alive back. Thanks so much.. I couldn't find superuser. Does this mean i have to re-root my phone again like what i did last time?

[Q] defy + cant download apps, reset, or root

Hi, so i tried to root and mod my defy +. I was able to root it but when I tried to get the mod on it got messed up. so I had to flash the stock sbf in and stuff. I'm not sure what happened but now I cant root it, and when I try to download apps it tells me there isn't enough space but I have plenty of memory left. Also I cant factory reset the phone. At this point I'm not sure what to do. Is there still a way to get a custom mod on the phone?
Please help, Thanks

You need to do a data wipe. Press vol- and power. You will get an exclamation mark and android. It is the stock recovery. Next press both vol+ and vol- together. You will enter custom recovery. Do a data wipe from there.. That should help..
You are not able to root probably because you flashed the BL7 latest SBF!! Go to setting about phone.. Does the version ends with .2310 or .231 >? If yes then it is still unrootable and if its a diff version then data wipe should renable root capability..

The only method is to flash the rooted SBF & trust me, we're lucky to have it or imagine being stuck without root.
Also I don't think there will be an exploit/script soon to do that.
You should go for the flashing, its absolutely fine..
May Be..

Just follow the instructions carefully and nothing will go wrong..
You won't brick it if you are just careful with the SBF you flash.

If by bricking you mean hard brick where even the bootloader is dead, then there isn't anything to recover, but thts very unlikely to happen(no chance while flashing SBF AFAIK).
In case of soft brick, boot loops, you can recover it by flashing your stock(even some other) SBF..
Only obvious way to brick is to flash on low battery. Normally it stops you it battery is low. IF you brick you will always get a new motherboard if you have warranty. Just tell that you got an update. Heard it 2 times (or so) on this site. Mostly there own fault and not while flashing sbf's.
There is always a risk. If you want to be absolutely sure, don't do it! But so far no bricks.
As is stated it is VERY hard to hardware brick. Just make sure you have a full battery and if there's a bootloader error just find the right SBF and you'll be alright. In my expirience even if you get a black screen with.a white LED as long as RSDLite can detect the phone you can just reflash another SBF.
I was in the same boat as you, only mine wasn't an OTA update. I accidently flashed a BL7 SBF and had to eagerly await for a rooted SBF. I have used the 231 and 134, they both work fine on my Defy+.

Doubt about flashing new SBF in my Defy+ with 2.3.6
Flashing new SBF will mean that all my data currently on phone will be wiped out right ?? Including all the apps and settings etc ??? Will I still have default Motoblur which i got with my phone initially ?? I've done rooting and flashing before with my old HTC Tattoo.. but in its case the procedure was a bit different probably coz its bootloader wasn't locked.

Doing a full wipe will delete all user data including apps.
After you flash the rooted SBF it will be in a state as its freshly bought (with Motoblur) only difference will be the root.

There's an app in the play store. MyBackup. You can use the trial/paid version to backup your apps to sdcard and it doesn't require root. However if you root your phone in future, you may use MyBackup Root to backup & restore.
Nandroid backup is system backup made through Custom Recovery (Mostly before flashing a Custom Rom)
The apps won't be backed up without root, only their list.
The apps data won't be backed up without root either.
No app can help you in that. This is how the OS is built.
nandroid backup...
can i do a nandroid backup without root... i need to save the original stock rom before flashing to get the root...
and how to do it...

I remember using MyBackup (without root) to backup my apps (not the data) and restoring those after root using the Root version of MyBackup.
Follow this link.

You can root your phone without wiping data.
its just a small tweak....
i think its just asmall small tweak after flashing with rds lite... after flashing using any other one click root method to get root is apc good idea though... shall try anyway... but not now....

Ah thats not good,i suppose you dont have a Nandroid either? i suggest you do a nandroid backup right now, format data & cache and try rebooting. If it still doesnt work , your /System partition may be corrupt. best to go with the above mentioned post by klebengan which would return you back to stock.
Mind you, in both cases you would lose your data. so do a nandroid right now, atleast wou would have a chance to extract important data later once you are up and running again.
BTW, This is the wrong place for this thread, it should be in Q & A and i m pretty sure there would be similar or related posts

ok, thanks for the tip but I tried to even follow the Klebengan post but the main problem is that I am not even able to go to the download mode with the volume key up and Plugin in the usb cable.
I have the flash tool and the kdz file but as i said I am not able to go to the download mode so I am not able to use the LG flash tool also.
If somebody can help me with the steps of transfering the zip file in to the phone memory I can atleast try to install the custom rom once the phone goes on and starts than I may try to flash with the kdz file.
pls help
