Different people have asked me privately if I would mind if they nominated me to be an Epic 4g mod. So, I'm saying this so everyone knows. I thank those that think i'd be a good mod, I really do, but I don't have time to be a mod. I'm only on xda a lot because of the app, I'm hardly ever on a pc. And school and soccer are starting back soon. So, thanks, but please don't request me anymore .

Thank you. And yes I do, this community is my favorite thing to visit throughout he day, and while i'd love to be the one to keep it clean, I know I wouldnt be able to do so.

I have mod experience from another site, i could be one, but i don't have enough time to mod even that site, mod work is fun but at the same time its very time consuming.

xda should put a main thread where users can interact. just out of topic thread. i meen to share.personal problems, comments, what they like/ unlike. just social matters only. no techinical matters. i hope it will make us close. what you think?

Seems like lately the policing of the forums has gotten out of hand. I appreciate keeping reposts and wrong thread placement down to a minimum, but I feel like some of these over aggressive moderators are stifling the community. Information seems more difficult to obtain and group discussion seems to have slowed way down. I understand its difficult to keep so much info streamlined and well organized so my hats off to em, but damn, relax yo!

I wouldn't recommend an ics rom yet unless you have no need for a camera our video camera. I don't believe flash is working right either. I may be wrong about that though. I would suggest unity, Cm7, our miui for rooms to try out until a solid release of ics is available.

This forum is a resource, not a help line..you don't call up the folks at wikipedia and go "quick, i have a report due, tell me what happened in ww2!"
They did the research to help narrow your information search to a single forum, the last you can do is understand that unless you are developing new applications or roms or working on a brand new device that your question has already been asked and the onus is on you to actually read the encyclopedia and to write your own report..no one is going to write your report for you, especially not the editors of the encyclopedia..it is gracious that some of these questions even get replies, even if they are flaming you for asking without searching..imo fwiw

Well, if you had read the OP you would've seen it doesn't work on any ics roms...now for your answer it's mainly because we have no functioning HAL module for ics.

I actually have read the OPs. It usually states that it simply isn't working, so yes, I have been aware for those that are assuming I haven't read the OPs.
And a million thanks for directly answering my question. Now I understand that it's a technicality and developing issue therefore, I don't have to chase after a solution thats way beyond my capabilities.
